I think a bank branch that is located in a supermarket should be limited to only basic transactions. They should not be required by the organization to be soliciting other services/​products. The tellers will spend time selling their products.. . which later, they cannot service well because they’re too busy tending to customers in line wanting to get in and get out. I bought into a product that I don’t need (because I’m so ignorant/​dumb & dumber) & I was mistakenly trying to help the teller. It created a lot of headache for me because I wasn’t understanding what I was doing. The situation was corrected but I still went through aggravation because I couldn’t get the teller to call me back; I had to call other places in the organization for help. Just do your basic transaction (like depositing a check — they’re always willing to take your money).

I usually like coming to this bank because it’s convenient to where I live and also because the tellers are easy going and nice, today I went in to deposit money, and the bank teller Andrea, did not say HI! She called «next» and then didn’t say one word, NOT ONE, «how’s your day?» Nothing! And when she was done she quietly said «anything else I can help you with today» I said no and she didn’t say bye, have a good day nothing!
She came off very bitter and rude! I didn’t feel welcomed at all! I don’t know if she was having a bad day or what but you could read it all over her face! Very disappointed!

This Bank of Hawaii has been convenient in the past but today I was so irritated when I couldn’t cash two checks made out to their bank unless I opened an account with them today because the check totals were over $ 500. Their policy is asinine when the check is from their own bank. They should have the regular banks open until 7 rather than these little junk ones that can’t give over $ 500 even if your are a member.
They sent me to Moilili because that’s the only one open. Definitely don’t want an account with this bank because of the lack of service.

Always here for the convenient location but the line is always so deep. Fast tellers though. Good work.

This location is built right into Safeway on the second floor. Located in the middle by Starbucks, it is convenient because they open until 7 pm on most days.
If you come when everyone finishes work, around 5 pm, it can take a while to conduct your business here. There are only a couple of tellers because this location is smaller than a traditional stand alone bank.
It’s still really helpful when you need to do your banking and many other places are closed. Service is very friendly here and parking is shared with the large Safeway parking lot downstairs.

EDIT: BUT! the girl at the teller window who helped me was very friendly even though it was the end of her day and she was probably aching to get out of there. Luck of the draw, getting a friendly one with a smile :)
