Not accepting new clients. Bummer — was really looking forward to this place, as I heard nothing bout great things. Being booked solid with no room for new clients just screams how awesome this place must be. Hope I can get an appointment in the near future.

This is it grrls! Look no further, Olivia is your gaL! She’s honest, engaging, funny, and down to earth. Now let’s face it, waxing sucks, but Olivia’s style is quick and smooth, with very little strays. Most places put a fabric strip on the wax, she doesn’t. It’s not painless, but more bearable to me (even though I can be a wimp sometimes;)). Her office is clean and the music makes me comfortable. I’ve always left with a smile, and no regrets!

Olivia is awesome! She makes an uncomfortable, a little painful procedure go by like nothing. She talks to you the whole time about whatever and its a great thing to distract you from what’s going on down there.
Parking is fine — there’s normally customer parking or the reserved stall. If they’re both taken, just park in the super market lot next door since it’s not like you’re going to be in there long anyways.
Appointments are necessary since she’s so great~ :)

As if waxing wasn’t a hassle enough, Olivia makes it as quick and painless as possible. Her friendly personality makes for no awkwardness at all! I also love that she uses hard wax instead of the typical wax and strips in most places in town.

Olivia is one classy lady! I live on the North Shore and the drive got to be too much for me, but I did it for 6 months, and let me tell you SHE IS WORTH IT!
Olivia never lets you feel embarrassed and she waxes you quickly. I have had more skilled waxers, but none of them could beat O’s prices or her personality.
If you are new to waxing, or considering waxing, you MUST seen Olivia. She will answer all of your questions and provide you with some info that you didn’t know you needed!
Wish I could hang with her outside of Bare Minimum, she is super sweet and cool.

These days, because of her popularity you have to book your appointment a couple of months in advance; I think all women can sympathize with each other on this one, planning this far in advance can be hard!
But trust me, so worth it! For first-​timers, Olivia turns the appointment into a lesson with full on question & answer if you want, no holds barred and she keeps it light and fun with her bubbly personality. No awkwardness at all.
$ 45 for efficient, thorough, great service AND an esthetician that treats you like a friend no matter how often you come in? You’d be crazy NOT to want to meet this lady and the wonderful service she provides to us lady-​folk.
Olivia’s also very technology friendly! She accepts email and text message appointment requests! She will usually text a day prior to your appointment to remind you that you have one! All around awesome possum.

Olivia completely deserves her spot at the top of Unilocal’s Oahu list! I have been with her now for almost two years (She has the «anniversary» marked on her calendar) and I would never stray from her.
If you are thinking of trying Olivia for the first time, you will either need to be incredibly flexible with your schedule or plan 2 months in advance. If you want a last minute appointment for your vacation here, this is not the place for you. However, if you are vacationing, you probably should have taken care of this before you even arrived.
Olivia was my first waxing stylist and will be my last as long as I live here. She understands how incredibly painful the entire experience is and realizes that minimizing that pain should be the focus of the wax. She actually uses different wax on different areas that are more sensitive than others.
Those 15 – 30 minutes fly by because we will talk about anything from her wedding/​my wedding, inlaws, gym stuff, anything! Next thing you know, you are paying her nominal fee (I say nominal when you compare it to what other salons charge) and scheduling your next appointment 2 months out.
The picture as the storefront is outdated. She no longer rents a space in Salon Eclipz. She has her own store on the second floor of the shopping center across the street from Longs and kitty corner to Auntie Pasto’s. There are 5 or so open spots at the beginning of the parking lot and a dedicated spot (for emergencies only) for the store. I have only had to park on the street once, and I was ridiculously early anyway.
She also doesn’t work Sundays, so again, be patient and flexible. She’s worth it!

Perhaps this is T-​M-​I (Too Much Information), but we are after all talking about waxing your nether regions. So if you’re uncomfortable with this topic you can mosey on over to restaurant reviews or peruse the Talk threads. I’m not running for President anytime soon, so what do I care? (shrugs shoulders, drinks a second glass of wine) I’ve given birth three times and there are very few things in this world which I have a difficult time discussing.
Note: If you’re a dude, don’t be sending me a weird compliment after reading this review or I’ll out your weirdness on Talk and your Mama will find out what a horrible job she did in raising you. Are we clear here amigos?
For those of you not familiar with Olivia, she can be your vagina’s very best friend and very worst enemy. On one hand she’ll make it beautiful and hairless and seductive, but let’s not forget she is using HOT WAX. To say it’s not going to hurt would be a complete LIE, but beauty is pain and in my personal opinion as a working mother of three, it’s a necessary part of leveraging your womanly powers.
You know those people who say «Oh I want someone to love me for me? Why should I have to dress up or wear make-​up?»
Next time you meet someone who says that, look them in the eye and ask them point blank, «When was the last time you had amazing sex?»
There will most likely be some type of long AWKWARD PAUSE and you can then give them a message from me…
ME: «Uh huh, that’s what I thought. Now go and get your lazy butt to Olivia’s and get yourself waxed. Natural beauty… oh please!!! This is not the 80s.»
At only $ 45 per waxing she’s the best deal in town and has a delightful, bubbly personality. Trust me, you’ll love her! As an added tip, be sure to schedule your appointment far in advance because Olivia gets booked up quickly. I made the mistake of not booking right away and hence the «it’s a jungle down there» statement. I’m not a lesbian, but honestly if I were to ever to make that U-​Turn I think Olivia might be the one. She makes waxing your vagina an enjoyable experience. Now that’s true power!

I have been holding back on writing a glowing review of Bare Minimum because Olivia is the bomb. Seriously. She is awesome and it was my way of being selfish! But since I actually discovered her via raving reviews on Unilocal,I guess this is the least I could do to «pay it forward». :)
Olivia’s quick, relatively painless, and this girl can TALK. She’s done before I know it. SO reasonably priced too! Her new place is spacious and clean… very comfortable!
Contacting her via text or email is reliable, and she’ll always get back to you. Not so great if you need an emergency wax because she’s usually booked. But once you get in, book your next appointment while you’re there, and you’ll be fine!

As a first timer, I was really nervous to get waxed! The waxing took only 15 minutes (it felt like an eternity) but I am so glad I came to Olivia. Olivias bubbly personality made me feel a lot more comfortable. Her work space is clean and organized. Its really great that she works alone, I feel a bit more secure since theres more privacy!

I just had my first appointment with Olivia today and it was great!
First of all, the moment you walk in, she greets you with such enthusiasm that it makes you feel at ease. I was referred here by my sister and she had a great experience with Olivia, so it was a plus for her and we talked about my sister as well during the appointment.
Yes, I was a Brazilian virgin and she made the whole process so comfortable!
She’s constantly talking to you to make you feel comfortable and she tells you when it’s going to get painful which to me was a bit reassuring to get a warning. LOL! It was painful because it was my first time but she’s very quick with her hands so the pain was short and temporary.
I will definitely go back to her for touch-​ups and recommend her to everyone! ^o^

Olivia is AWESOME!!!
She’s super friendly, easy to talk to and very funny! The first time I went to see her for my very FIRST wax job… I was nervous and scared. She made me feel comfortable, she was quick and explained to me how to take of the area afterwards and to exfoliate! exfoliate! exfoliate!
I’ve been seeing her for about 6 months now and I would not go anywhere else. She’s worth every penny and is cheaper than anywhere else that I found. Her new space is comfy, private and quiet and with the free parking in back is a big plus.
People say I’m crazy, but I actually look forward to my appointments wit her. She makes ripping out hairs sound like so much fun! She is wonderful and sooo worth it! I recommend all my friends to her.

If you get waxed, you must try Olivia. Period.
First of all, you cannot beat the price. Especially if you get Brazilian-​ed …which is worth every penny of the $ 45 fee. But there are so many other great things about Olivia that make going to her a worthwhile experience.
She’s warm and friendly and you feel immediately at ease, which was important to me as I have just moved here and needed to find a new esthetician. She’s also very respectful of your space and privacy. Her salon is immaculate and spotless, has a great ambiance to it and is very inviting. Her approach is very «no nonsense» and she’s wonderfully open and honest. And funny. And, believe it or not, her technique is virtually painless. I cannot say this enough. I have never felt such little pain from a procedure that is sort of barbaric and torturous. She has it down.
The only tricky part is finding her. The building signage for her suite is not viewable from the street in a car. However, Olivia’s is the only building (small, 2-​story) at the corner of Pensacola and Young. It’s upstairs and there is a sign on the suite door.
Although I was able to see her with only a 24-​hour notice, I would recommend booking in advance. It won’t be long before her appointment schedule is booked solid all the time.

I was in search of a new person to do my Brazilian wax so after doing some research here on Unilocal,I decided to give Olivia a try! She was outstanding! Very professional, sweet, courteous, and you cannot beat her $ 45 dollar price for a Brazilian!!! Anyone who’s had a Brazilian knows that it’s painful. But Olivia is very quick which makes the pain much less! And compared to the last person I used to go to… she is leaps and bounds better! Thanks Unilocalers for letting me know about this place. I’m definitely going to stick with Olivia!
Just for reference, she works out of Salon Eclipse. I had a little hard time finding it… it’s in the same parking lot as Sweet Home Café. Also, she responds by text message so just text her and she’ll let you know when her appointment availabilities are. It worked perfectly for me! And then after my wax, I just scheduled my next one before I left!
I highly recommend Olivia! I’ve tried 3 other waxers here on Oahu, and hands down, Olivia is the best, and has the BEST price!

After my first Brazilian waxing, I was converted. The only problem is that my first esthetician’s rate was $ 75 a Brazilian wax, making my wallet very very sad. After looking around on Unilocal,I found Bare Minimum and was ecsatic by her rate, $ 45 for a Brazilian!!! Sign me up!
Had a little trouble with scheduling but things were worked out quickly and pleasantly. I’m so glad that she has hours for us working gals (after 4 pm). Got an appointment for within the week, so if you have a tight schedule and need a specific day and time, make an appointment early!
Olivia is great! Very personable and professional. She also offers baby wipes which was a great convenience. Quick, neat, clean and you’re out of there!

I went here for my second Brazilian wax. The first one I had done was at Desire Salon & Spa for $ 55, which I thought was great, but the price was a bit too much for regular monthly visits… Olivia charges $ 45 which is extremely reasonable for this type of service (trust me, I did a LOT of googling and Unilocaling when researching salons that offered Brazilian waxes). This is as cheap as it gets for a QUALITY Brazilian wax. CASH OR CHECK ONLY.
Olivia no longer works inside of a salon. She now has her very own, spacious location off of Pensacola. There is limited parking, but I didn’t have any problems when I went and parking is free!
I would highly recommend booking at least 1&½−2 weeks in advance for your appointment. I’m big on planning, so if you want a really good appointment time, book in advance. You can email, text, or leave her a voicemail (I prefer texting). Sometimes she doesn’t respond immediately, so I’ll resend the text a few hours later and she’ll respond. Since expanding to her own location, she now works way more hours. Before, since she was a working student, she would only work about 3 days a week which made getting an appointment a bit difficult.
Olivia is very nice and welcoming. If it’s your first appointment, you’ll have to sign a waiver form. The process itself is really quick. For me, it only took about 15 minutes. I felt like it was a lot less painful than my first Brazilian wax. I really feel that this wasn’t just because I knew what to expect. I really felt like the wax she used or the technique (or perhaps a combination of both) really helped the whole process go by quickly and relatively painlessly. I didn’t wince nearly as much as I did the first time, and the waxing process was so quick (but still thorough!).
If you’re interested in getting a Brazilian wax or want more info on it (I did SO much research before getting my first one) – feel free to send me a message! I’d post more here on my review of the benefits of Brazilian waxes, but given the «sensitive» subject matter I will refrain. :)
I will, however, say that if you want the best results you should wait at LEAST 4 weeks from shaving or your last wax to come in for a Brazilian wax. Because of the way the hair grows in «stages/​patterns», growing it out will actually help the Brazilian wax last longer. She will actually recommend you to come back later if your hair isn’t long enough.
I could go on and on about this…
Anyhow, Olivia was great and very professional and friendly, so I’ll definitely be back (in 5 weeks, per her recommendation). :)
