NO! Just no! That could be the entirety of my review. If you are reading this review that means you are thinking of eating here. Don’t do it! I’m serious. Turn around now. Head to the burrito place, Fort Street Café, the weird little Ba-Le inside the convenience store. Hell, head to McDonalds even! Just do NOT go here. 1. They are always out of what you want. I shit you not, I stopped by 4 times in a row and they were«out of shrimp». I think they just stopped serving shrimp, but didn’t want to tell anyone! About two months later they had the shrimp and guess what? Small, dry and flavorless– TOTALLYOVERPRICED. 2. Want brown rice? Too bad. See number 1. They may say they offer brown rice, but they always happen to be «out» when I order it. These mofos were out of SALADANDRICE once. Which they didn’t tell me until I had paid. By the way, I paid the plate lunch price and got the plate lunch serving. If these a-holes had told me exactly what I was and wasn’t getting, I would’ve just asked for the order of meat and paid that price. 3. They suck. Does this need further illumination? I didn’t think so. 4. I’m just too angry to complete this review. Please, just don’t go here. I know my anger seems harsh and unjustified, which may be valid, but I’ve had so many frustrating, irritating, annoying, terrible experiences with this infuriating little window that I have nothing good to say.

We love getting a steak plate to go after a night of drinking! The steak, salad and rice is the perfect hangover meal. We live close by and we love the convenient location and fast order time!

two stars for convenience and one star for that korean/soy-based sause they have. i go here too often to give it less than three stars, but only because the place on alakea and king is further away. the regular steak plate is ok for $ 6.50, but i did get ripped off when they were offering mushrooms and onions for $ 1 extra. i misread and thought it was AND, but it was OR. a couple of times i’ve found the meat too peppery. today i tried the garlic steak — maybe i got the wrong plate, but i didn’t see any garlic on there and almost took it back. then i licked my chopstick and tasted a miniscule speck of garlic. minus points for not putting serious garlic on there. couldn’t even smell it — NOTWORTHTHEEXTRA $ 1! also for the first time, the rice was weird. it’s usually really good, but this time i had one scoop that must have been fresh from the cooker because it was screaming hot and it was way too wet — almost couldn’t see the individual grains. the second scoop was just a little dry, but at least not screaming hot. still, i’ll go back. but if you’re closer to the place on the corner of alakea/king — go there instead.

I was surprised at the reviews on this place. Even on busy days, your order comes real quick. The staff is friendly; they always greet me warmly and make sure they get my order correct. I usually order medium rare for my steak, and never has my food come undercooked or overdone. Flavor is great, but I did notice that when I got my steak well done is that the flavor is pretty bland. I think because when it’s medium rare the juices from the steak make the spices on it taste better. I think the steak they have dries out once its fully cooked(which is why I cant give em 5 stars, sorry! Steak should be juicy!) I love their mixed plate salad and two scoops of rice for 7 bucks, worth it! And I love the fact that they have that card for a free plate after 10 purchases, only 8 more!!! Love it! If youre hungry and looking for something filling, good and cheap, Blazin Steak is your place :)

This is a place that I frequent when I’m at school. I’ve never had undercooked steak, and I’ve never had steak with no flavor. But I guess that everyone has different experiences. But I liked it when they had the free mushrooms and onions. I think they should make it a permanent thing :) I have 6 hole punches in my card, and I plan on getting more when the semester starts up again. They’re very quick. During the busy lunch hours, you might wait 5 – 7 minutes for your steak, but when it’s slow you wait even less time. Despite the fast cook time, like I said before, I have never had my steak undercooked. I do like that they give a ton of salad, and a ton of dressing. I hate it when there’s not enough dressing that trickles down to the bottom of the salad, but it definitely trickles down in the Blazin Steak plates. P. S. Did you know it’s called Blazin Steak, NOT Blazin Steaks. Haha. It blew my mind when I read the sign.

I had this place for lunch a few days ago & this has to be one of the worst of the franchise. I’ll give it a wee bit of credit for being fast during the lunch hour, but that’s at the expense of my steak being undercooked. I swear I asked for medium & got seared instead… So did my other 2 co-workers but their’s looked like they *tried* to cook it. Don’t forget that the steak is extremely flavorless & bland too! All I can really give them credit for is being cheap… Otherwise, go to the steak place on the corner of Alakea & King street for FAR better quality!

One day there were none, the next, Blazin Steaks are all over the place. Stopped by this new one on Fort Street Mall, in the mood for some protein and curious about how this steak might be different than what I had at the Manoa store many month back. The menu is the same as what I’ve seen elsewhere: Grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, fish, served with rice and tossed salad. Choice of sauces. This location is offering a opening special of of complimentary grilled mushrooms and onions. On the PLUS side… Everything was tender and moist, mushrooms and onions perfectly cooked, service fast, and the price was right — $ 7.50 for a good size mixed plate. On the UN-PLUS side… No flavor, steak was sliced so thinly, couldn’t tell if it was steak or a mushroom piece, and while service was fast, I can’t say it was at all friendly. Just taking and filling orders. But it was the lack of flavor that left the«meh» impression. I had to add salt and A-1 to make it interesting.(That’s better than too much salt or flavor!) I might head back for some unadorned protein, but if wanted a little something with zing, would likely find something else close by on Fort Street Mall.
