Don’t get me wrong, Chuck E Cheese is a go-to place for bringing the kiddies. It’s gotten really expensive over the years, so I try to avoid coming here at all costs cause it’s an easy $ 50 spent for just myself, my fiancé and our son. I also try to avoid coming here cause for some odd reason, parents thinks its ok to just let your children run wild without any supervision. We came here on the night of my son’s birthday since we weren’t planning on doing anything big this year. We got there early, my cousin and her husband were able to «reserve» some tables since they were there before us. Luckily, a table next to us left as well, so we were able to take those tables too. We used one of their coupons which were good for 1 large 1 topping pizza, 4 drinks &40 tokens for $ 28. We ordered wings and $ 30 more of tokens since of course, it was his birthday and I brought my sister along with us since she makes the greatest babysitter for my son. We got our pizza, and the worker took our number sign thingy. I had to stop her before she left to tell her that we were still waiting on our wings and she previously did this to my cousin them as well, who had to wait another 10 – 20 mins for their sampler. When we first got there, she did ask us what time we would like to sing happy birthday to him so I told her 7:00 but had to ask to move it to 7:30 because we were still eating. 7:30 comes and they sing happy birthday to a party that was reserved in the party area, and to another child somewhere else. and mind you, this was almost 8pm. My cousin went to remind the girl and I also went to the manager at the same time. Love Chuck E Cheese for the kids, but hate how they’re so careless about their job because a lot of the times, you see them goofing off and talking stories with each other. Also, their prizes are ridiculous. 50 tickets for 4 stickers?! You’ve got to be kidding me.

So I just came back from my bf’s cousins son’s birthday party and I have to say that it’s your normal chuck e cheese place. Loud, Crazy, plenty kids, and etc. But if you are trying to get the regular tables you might want to go as early as possible, thank god that his family let us share there tables. But we were about to sing happy birthday at 7:30, his cousin did let them know that because they give a free piece of cake and they sing happy birthday with chucky. It took them more than 30 mins just to actually get that all started, we told them more than once and they still haven’t come yet. But after we reminded them about 3x we finally sang happy birthday. There food has gotten very expensive and I also heard that to even have a party here is very expensive as well. But if your planning on coming just to come, make sure to always look on the catalogs or your newspaper ads because you can find some good coupons. We used one from his sister $ 28.99 for 1 large pizza, 4 drinks, and 40 tokens !

Even before we had our daughter, Chuck E Cheese has been one of our favorite places to go for pizza! Something about the garlic oily-ness of the crust is what I love about it! Once my husband discovered their bbq chicken pizza he was hooked too! Now that we have a 19-month-old, it’s the perfect excuse for us to frequent this place often! I like that it’s easy to get coupons for Chuck E Cheese. I usually just check their website or the Hawaii Parent magazine because without coupons it can be a little expensive. Usually the coupons include a pizza, drinks, and tokens(the size of the pizza and amount of tokens/drinks varies on the coupon). We also usually get a large salad bar plate and try to fill it as much as possible since you’re only allowed one trip per plate. The rides & games are always fun for my daughter. She’s still a little unsure whenever she sees Chuck E. and the other characters in costume walking about but I think she’s slowly warming up to them. This is a really great place to bring the kids! We appreciate the extra security measure taken to ensure your child’s safety as they stamp your arm when you enter and check it when you leave to make sure that the child leaves with the adult they came with.

Chuck e Cheese is located at the Kapalama shopping center in Kalihi. Like other locations they offer pizza, finger foods and a salad bar for those who are hungry(basically parents lol) while there is a plethora of games for kids. They are open every day(weekends open earlier and close later), and there is ample parking. Chuck e Cheese also caters to birthday parties l, as they have packages starting at $ 10. PROS: Before, Chuck e Cheese used to have games that would cost anywhere from 1 token up to 4 tokens. But now every game costs only one token and every ticket game will give out a ticket. Very good for those who are on a budget with tokens. Their token/pizza combos are pretty good. If you do some digging, you can get better deals from the chuck e cheese coupons in the Sunday paper or from the military magazines. The only drawback is if you buy the coins by itself, it’s $ 1 for 3 tokens, not the industry standard of 4 for $ 1. But it’s not really a big deal. WORKSINPROGRESS: I smelled something like BO when Chuck e Cheese came out to dance. Not sure if it was an employee or the guy in the costume, but it smelled like being in a gym. I know you can’t fit that rat’s head in the washing machine, but maybe you should steam clean it? I feel sorry for the guy that was wearing it. Maybe it was bad luck or some one had a voodoo doll but half of the game machines were broken. Like as in some ate tokens. Some machines didn’t give out tickets. My daughter was so confused when she put in a token and the skeeball didn’t work. Even thought the general manager came over to resolve the problem, I was hoping the games would be maintained before the restaurant opened. Lastly this Chuck e Cheese is located in a low residential area, therefore you get a lot of poor«Moke» families which means they let their kids run around and no one watches them. I just saw a kid sitting in a booth next to me try to take a slice of pizza from my table. I sure as hell scolded the kid for trying to take my food. It’s the Wild West here. Maybe the pearl city location is better. Nevertheless Chuck e Cheese is a place that I will coming back because of my kid

Had a blast with family and friends. Had my son’s 8th birthday recently, and Abigail was our host. She went out of our way to make sure we got everything exactly the way we wanted. My son had some of his school friends and family friends celebrate with us. We arrived early to set up even though we didn’t really bring decorations, which was not allowed from their policy anyway. We brought some cake and small popcorn goodie bags for the kids. They let us bring our own cupcakes from Sam’s Club and a small cake from Zippy’s. It was okay as long as it wasn’t refrigerated. We got the star package which came with about 30 tokens per child and some additional pizza combos and appetizers and salads and additional tokens(that came in handy). Abigail walked us through some scenarios, and this is how the party went … 4:30pm We greeted everyone and have them get their seats. Chuck E. cheese himself came out to greeted all the parties celebrating at the same time. They had a little dance and the kids sang along. Since the theme was about superheroes, CEC had a little cut out of a superhero and the kids could put their face in to take pictures. Each table had one. Nice touch! They even gave my son a cape and cool glasses as part of the package! We pass out the tokens for the guests and let everyone go play, but they had to be back about 4:55pm to eat. 4:55pm the food came quickly, and drinks, pizzas, and appetizers were had by all. We had some vegetarians and other folks in our party so we ordered some salads pre-emtively. Eventually, we ordered more salads and drink cups on the fly, and the staff came right back with every request. 5:10pm Abigail and staff started getting the cakes and cupcakes ready. 5:15pm they sang a birthday song for all the parties. My son went wild while they sang. Grinning from ear to ear. The staff even cut the cake and lit the candles for us. 5:20pm The birthday boys and girls each take a turn in the ticket tornado machine. It was nice of some of the staff to throw some tickets to some of the kids that didn’t know how to play or got very little tickets. My son ended up with a ticket voucher for about 200 tickets! After that, everything was a bit of a blur. Even though it’s easy to nitpick about small details, like the drink pitchers weren’t immediately refilled, or maybe one out of four pizzas came a few minutes after the others, they were just that — minor details. Some our guests were so grateful, they were asking my wife and I to stop helping everyone else and get something to eat. Still, though, I just watch all the staff working to make everyone else happy, and I am in awe at how they put up with some of the craziness there with a smile. A heart of thanksgiving puts things in the right perspective. A small but overlooked detail about the tickets and prizes. Don’t try so hard and kill yourself trying to earn so many tickets. Just have fun with the kids. You can buy extra tickets at about a penny per ticket, to get to whatever item you are trying to help your kids earn. I’ve spent $ 10 or $ 20 on tokens with little more than 300 or so tickets to show for it, and then I realized that $ 3 could have done the same. Oh well. We can let the kids figure it out. It seems like everyone had fun. We even ended up with extra food to take home or give to other people. How great is that? Anyways, to Abigail and the staff at CEC Dillingham — plenty of MAHALOs for your attention to detail.

Pros: — Fantastic staff, from management to wait staff to the Chucky actor, everyone was extremely nice. — Food. No, this is not gourmet food, but they had a many choices for entrees and a well stocked salad bar. — Games. A wide variety of games for kids of all ages! Cons: — «Regulars». There was an older gentleman there who sat right next to us when the entire restaurant was available. He was nice, but it was a little uncomfortable to have this man by himself engage us in conversation about raising kids, religion, prejudices, etc. I’m guessing he is a regular because the staff talked to him like they were good friends. He seemed harmless, but it was strange nonetheless. — Prizes. As I remembered from when I was a kid, the prizes are very low quality. Regardless, my 2 year old left very satisfied.

Three tries to get out french fries? First try they somewhat admitted leaving the French fries out and it was all hard, second attempt and it was burnt. Why would you send out burnt fries. Waiting for the third attempt to come out.

Celebrated my son’s 6th birthday party here, we had the mega package cost 25.99 per kids. My son and his friends didnt experience to get the prices on the piñata because the host forgot to give it to us. The goodie bags was given to us after some of the guest left. piñata and goodie bags was included in the party package but the host forgot to give it to us during the party.

I had a walk-in party for my cousin and it was her first time at CEC. We enjoyed it, but there were a few things going on that I didn’t quite agree on. As soon as we walk in, the greeter tells us we can’t bring in any balloons. Fine, no problem. So we leave the balloon in the car. Everything from there is fine; we go to the register and tell them we’re doing a walk in party, and we order some food. Chuck E. comes by as scheduled, sings my cousin a happy birthday, and she gets handed a free slice of chocolate cake. So while we’re eating our pizza, I made the mistake of taking out a few party hats for us to wear. A worker quickly comes by and tells us that we aren’t allowed to wear them. Alright, so no balloons and no party supplies are allowed at CEC, unless they’re CEC merchandise. I get that it’s a business, but it just seems so stingy to me. Since my cousin is in love with this place, we go all the time now. Cheap games, but you have a hard time winning tickets unless you pick them off the ground. Prizes are lousy and the food is expensive. They only accept printed coupons; they won’t honor a coupon that’s on your phone

We celebrated my 28th birthday here last night and we had great customer service. Yes, this is a place where even a 28 year old can act like a kid again. Lol. They offered me a free slice of cake and of course sang to me. They accidentally threw away our sodas and family picture, but made up for it by giving us free tokens and another drink. They made sure we were taken care of and all their employees were so friendly. Another great thing is that all the games are one token!

Seriously though? It’s not weird that my family still dines here, even though the youngest person in our family just turned 20, right? I don’t know what it is, but I just LOVE Chuck E. Cheese’s pizza. I’m a huge fan of thin crust pizza, so their garlic powder dusted thin crust is a winner! I always order the BBQ chicken pizza(topped with fried onions!), their chicken wings and/or sampler platter, and dessert. I suggest getting the traditional buffalo or BBQ chicken wings. Don’t get the boneless wings, as they’re sometimes cold/not fried enough. It’s really a hit or miss, depending on the cook. For dessert, try their churros or cinnamon bread sticks, or even a slice of their chocolate birthday cake. They’re all surprisingly yummy. For families with actual children(har har), I suggest looking into their family combo meals. They come with pizza, drinks, maybe even an appetizer, but tokens, especially. The larger your combo meal, the more tokens you get.

Recently went to friends sons a birthday party here. Took a few pictures and posted them as well. At the end of the night I was going to write a review, but I realized that I was full of cake, caffeine and pizza so I decided to hold off a day or two provide a better uninfluenced and unbiased point of view. Like many other reviews, have stated previously, the location kind of gives you that South Central LA vibe as you are driving in. On the night in question, I noticed about six rather large(250lbs to 350lbs each), tattooed thuggish looking males to the far left of the entrance. Being the hard core thug that I am not, I dub-stepped my way up to the entrance in a giddy gangster fashion as fast as possible. Notable point, a family in front of me had children, all of which had to receive a stamp and were told that the children are not allowed to leave with anyone else but the parent or adult who has the same stamp as them. Makes sense. I then met up with the party I was there to meet, exchanged greetings and submitted my birthday offerings. My friend explained that they didn’t have a reservation so there would be a special announcement about his son’s birthday. This seemed really cool of Chucky Cheese, as evidently it cost like $ 10 per head, minimum of 10 heads to make a birthday reservation. I said cool, and made my way to get me some tokens. Second notable point, while in line a lady was nice enough to inform me about a deal I could on occasion get if I have the MidWeek newspaper. The one she showed me was 100 Tokens and 1 pizza for $ 30. This seems like a good pretty good tip to me. In any event, I played games with my friend’s son and we all had a great time. He brought his own cake and there were other dishes that tasted pretty good as well. Salad, chicken wings, and cheese sticks. All of which I managed to get a little taste of before heading back over to set some high scores on the games. This is when I noticed that the group of large tattooed males I had seen on my way in to Chucky Cheese’s were now walking around inside. Not wanting to show fear, I just continued to drive race cars, drive speed boats and roll coins in to slots for gift tickets. My friend called me over and the staff made a huge announcement and we all sang happy birthday to his son. We ate cake and more pizza and it felt really nice and personable, in light of the fact that my friend didn’t have a reservation beforehand. And then came the confrontation… I came around behind a double gunned space alien shooting game just a little before(in my opinion) one of the large tattooed males. Stuck in a sort of standoff with this guy who outweighed me by an easy two hundred pounds, I did the only thing any self-respecting smaller guy would do. I was said, «What …like play?» To my surprise he said«Shootz!» next thing I know we were like two of the biggest kids in the place running from game to game trying to beat the high scores and each other throughout the evening. It was almost like one of those scenes you see in a commercial we were having so much fun. And then, of course, reality kicked in when my friend tapped me on the shoulder to thank me for coming and let me know their party was over and they were heading home. I kind of feel bad that I beat his son in Fruit Ninja, but the way I see it, life isn’t supposed to be easy, especially if you are four years old. All in all-Great place for Food Fun and Games Better to go with a kid if you have one or can barrow one. If not you might turn into one, or get a few awkward«what is this adult doing here» stares from kids waiting for a turn to play the game you are on.

Don’t really make it out to this location much. For the kids, though it was worth the drive. Its always a plus that each game is only a token which helps everyone especially families of 7 like us. The games are spread through the facility so the kids aren’t crowded or banging into each other. As for the food, we ended up spending about $ 160 for two large pizzas, 8 drinks and 2 salad bars. It was a but pricey but worth it because we all left satisfied and full. The salad bar was full of options, with vegetables, salad dressings and other things. The pizzas we ordered were half cheese and half supreme to avoid the up charge of a full surpreme. All I gotta say, is that crust is simply amazing. No place else like it. we will definitely be back.

Check Keiki Magazines for coupons on pizza and tokens! I’m not ashamed to say, I’m a Kid at Heart! I love this location! I drive all the way from Wai’anae passing the Chuck E. Cheese location in Pearl City just to come out to Kalihi’s! The space of this location seems bigger and more room to move about. Even though it’s a pain to find parking at certain hours, if you try to go after 6pm… parking is easy. The food is always great and hot! The servers try to quickly get your order to you. For me, I like sitting closest to where they come out of the kitchen so its piping hot! From pizzas to hot wings and my favorite cinnamon sugar desert pizza! The Salad Bar is always loaded with fresh veggies and if they run out, just let the team members know and they’re quick in bringing out the cart full of vegetable goodness! If you’re like me, I use the tray to pile on the veggies! You can only go through once, so try to make it count! One thing that has changed since the summer is that they don’t have the token bonuses if you use $ 10 or $ 20 bills. The price of toke is close to $.33…but the good news is that its still 1 token per game! Always new games to play and not too many long lines on the good ones! This location is great for parties, especially if you’re fundraising or having an event. The team members are friendly and always willing to help out and make your experience enjoyable! I love bringing my friends who haven’t been to Chuck E. Cheese in a long long time for their birthdays. You can ask the cashier when you’re ordering food for a ‘birthday cake’ and you can choose from vanilla or chocolate, they’ll ask the name of the birthday person and give you a number. When you’re ready, Chuck E. Cheese himself and a team member will come to you and sing! Best part Ever! Every 30min of the hour, Chuck E. Cheese puts on a performance… and if you dance with him, he’ll toss a bunch for free tickets in the air for the kids to grab. I love watching my nephews and my baby bro dance! All in all, always great for the family or even a few friends!

Chucke e Cheese was so much nicer when it was at Aina Hina. It was so much less crowded and the families that seemed to go there took better care of their children– so my opinion now for kalihi is that there is more running and less organization. Chucke e Cheese when we were there now has a cute fake line dance electric slide where Chucke e Cheese stands on the ski ball lanes with a few crew members and they sing and dance like 2 numbers and then throw a few tickets. Good to have a few activities where the keiki don’t need to have a ton of tokens– that and there is the slide up tubes, and then the show for birthdays. It’s not my way to just give more and more tokens until I’m broke– there are a few other things to do and otherwise I would never get them to sit and eat for a minute if I didn’t do something. We’ve gone to at least 2 birthday parties– I know my one friend knows the owner and got an early booking and was allowed into the place 30 min before official opening. Having that time without outside families in was wonderful for our birthday group. I know at the bill at the end he dropped like $ 300. I wouldn’t have thought it was that expensive but everything little thing adds up so much. Chucke e Cheese tries to make holidays more special. Halloween all the crew members are in costume– know that some of the workers are still in high school so some of the costume choices are more than questionable — don’t know if that is on purpose or what but sometimes it could be cleaned up better. Christmas has at least a tree and little things that make it feel better. Chucke e Cheese is one of those pieces of Americana that is among the most controversial. What could be controversial you ask about pizza, video games and stuffed animal people??? — well to a 5 year old– nothing, but to adults there is a need to know factor. I don’t go there often and there are reasons. First off– why does Chucky advertise on both PBS and Disney tv and cable? I believe that any show targeting children under 5 years old should only advertise is spinach or broccoli and at the very most Chiquita banana even though they support death squads in central America for their production interests– because keiki need their bananas though to eat. Next price– there are coupons which make the prices more reasonable but you need to print and have coupons ready before ordering. Food– if it can be called food, it really is the lowest quality food stuffs, with basic flour, oily cheese and subpar old materials used as filler. The sauce has sugars added to keep keiki addicted to the product even though it has no taste. Games– belief what you would like about video gaems– but keiki under a certain age should never have exposures to the lights and flashes of the games. It is too much stimulus for them and combine that with salt and sugar and you do have the means to make children more likely to be susceptible to add or adhd symptoms. Even now there are only some warnings about seizer possibilities. If you let your 13 yr old play games for days– that is your choice. If you plan to have a healthy childhood for your 3 year old– don’t let them play high intensity flashing video games. Call me a nut if you like — but it does reduce the ability of some children to pay attention during their schooling years. I really don’t like to have 1 Unilocal event review after another– so I do have to work even harder to write more quickly.

This was my fifth or sixth visit to Chuck E Cheese within the past six months … my five star may be because we make it a point to never come on holidays or weekends :-) The staff at the door and throughout has been consistently pleasant and professional. This particular time we did a walk in birthday and they went out of their way to make it special :-) :-) :-) they encouraged us to use the long tables, insisted on us letting them come sing when we were ready, and even insisted on providing candles, cake plates, and a server to cut the cake. The staff is beyond AWESOME with their Aloha spirit and I am very appreciative :) even Chuck E went out of his way with the kiddies dancing on stage and being present throughout ! I love that it’s clean and drinks refillable … love they offer gluten free pizza, love that it’s air conditioned, and very well staffed, love the online coupons and that every ride/game is a quarter :-) :-) :-) I am a fan :-) Mahalo Chuck E Cheese for the ALOHA and the forever cherished memories !
