The worst experience ever!!! Went in for an old filling that came loose. Thought he would just replace it but he suggested a crown for a more secure fix. First crown came loose the next day and he re-​cemented it. This time it came loose that same day and the tooth hurt A LOT. Then he sent me to an endodontist to have a root canal done to the tooth to kill nerves on that tooth. Went back to him to have the crown work finished (it was already paid in full) and Dr. Park said the tooth is cracked and needs to be extracted. What the hell! HE was adamant at this point that the tooth needs to be extracted. Why did he suggest a crown then? This happened to my elderly mom recently. I went to see him to find out exactly what happened. Dr. Park admits he shouldn’t have suggested a crown because he was sure the tooth needed to be extracted. So after hours of dental work (mostly grinding), months of pain, unnecessary visit to endodontist, lots of money spent, my mom is left with unfinished dental work and now a possibly tooth extraction (= more pain, time, and money). When I asked for a refund, Dr. Park says he would refund the fee (minus the lab fee — don’t how much that is). IS this good enough? When a dentist does totally unnecessary work (possibly a damaging work) to a patient (especially a vulnerable elderly patient), gets nasty with the patient for complaining, then (when confronted) admits he shouldn’t have done the work in the first place, how do you make it right?
