We discovered Bubbies mochi ice cream and were instantly addicted! We first tried the guava and green tea mochi at Domo Domo — yum! The ice cream is soft enough to bite through and the mochi is flavorful and not overly chewy. It’s nice to have the truck open near Trump along with the other trucks. We found out they also have Bubbies at Foodland in Waikiki.

Yummiest mochi ice cream ever! The 5 pieces for $ 7 is worth it(or you can get single pieces for $ 1.50). Our favorite was the vanilla but the guava was also excellent. The chocolate peanut butter tasted like a Reese’s cup in ice cream form… Om nom nom. I normally don’t like green tea ice cream but this was the best I’ve had.

Please Please… Another semi– new truck at Aloha Market Food truck lot… Semi-new because Chua Loa is no more and now it is Domo Domo. Same menu as Chua Loa minus the churros. Great place to go if you are craving Bubbies ice cream and you are too lazy to drive to University Ave and wait in line. Sure there are only four rotating flavors here and mochi ice cream, but if you have an ice cream craving in Waikiki, this is the place to go since Cold Stone in Waikiki is closed. One scoop is about $ 4, two scoops for $ 7. $ 1.50 for one mochi ice cream, I think. The dude that worked there was friendly and gave us two scoops although we ordered one scoop. Score!
