I have been seeing Miharu for over ten years. Her techniques of facial treatment combined with massages are excellent. I have had facial treatments at luxury hotel SPA’s. Not just less expensive, Miharu’s much better. Not just her techniques, she spends more than ample time, providing most relaxing massages to your face and shoulder (feel great when you have stiff shoulders!) with lavishing amount of various creams. I always feel ten years younger with my skin every time I do have a facial with her.

I’m 22 now and have been coming to Miharu Oba for my eyebrows since I was 15. She does exactly what you ask for, and her eyebrow waxing price is $ 18.85 inclusive of tax. She is very sweet, and I will always come back. She also does upper lip for $ 6.

If you ever need a facial Christie is hands down the best! I started going to her since I was 21 years old 10 years to be exact. Her techniques and facial massages are excellent and a master of it all. Your face will glow and free from blackheads and all that yucky stuff. She’s a true gem with an awesome personality!

I just wanted my brows shaped so I made a last minute appointment since my husband had a hair appointment next door.
I was nervous not knowing anything about the place, but was very happy with the atmosphere and service. Christine did a great job on my eyebrows with concern for my comfort (no pain!) and the price was reasonable.
I definitely recommend. Parking is in the building and they validate! So even though it might seem inconvenient, it’s not at all.

Really, I cannot complain. This place was pretty darn good. Comfortable, clean, cozy, and of course awesome customer service. Christie was beyond fantastic. She is not only knowledgeable, but also, incredibly kind. I love that she shared what would work for my skin, how to get the results I want, without pushing products. This place is fantastic. I already have another facial scheduled for next month, cannot wait!

I was so relaxed and in the zone, I feel asleep during my facial. Yikes! I’ve never done that before.
Christie has been doing my facials for just under a year. She takes good care of my skin, getting rid of the junk and letting in the good.
She uses Dermalogica products, which sooth and treat the skin, without being harsh, heavy or scented. I purchase a select few products and a little goes a long way, so the value is there. I also like that she is not a extraction freak. She gently encourages the pores to open up, without being too aggressive or invasive. When I leave my skin looks fresh and even, no fiery red blotches! I also like that Christie will share samples so you can try a product before you invest.
Facial Spa Hawaii offer the usual array of treatments, like masques and anti-​aging, but I just get the basic ($ 65) every month and a half or two.

Facial Spa Hawaii is a lovely oasis just on the edge of the Ala Moana area. For over 15 years, it’s been one of my favorite places to relax and rejuvenate. I’m a client of Miharu, and in her absence, Christie has also helped me. Both are excellent at what they do. I’ve always been very satisfied by how my skin feels after my visit — the result of the high quality products used (Murad, I think) and their skill as estheticians (sp?).
I think the salon is frequented by a clientele that is primarily local. However, the salon is so close to Waikiki and the Ala Moana area, this place would be perfect for visitors who want an amazing, customized facial for far less than what they’d pay at a hotel spa. Having been to hotel spas, I can say that the facials are similar if not better. Of course, you don’t have the extra amenities of larger spas like showers and jazcuzzis, but then you don’t have to «pay» for these extras either just to get a great facial.
The salon is small; in addition to the waiting area, there are two rooms. It is on the ground floor facing the busy Kapiolani Blvd, but the rooms themselves are quiet.
My only wish is that they’d find a body massage therapist to complement the facial treatments.
Parking is validated, but it’s an easy 1.5-block stroll from the Sears-​side of the Ala Moana Shopping Center. I sometimes enjoy my facials after a busy day shopping!
A highly recommended affordable luxury!

Facial Spa Hawaii is a wonderful salon to go to for friendly service, effective and soothing facials, great eye brow waxing and all this at a very reasonable price. I’ve tried facials at hotel spas and larger spas in town, but my favorite place for a good facial and awesome brows is still Facial Spa Hawaii. It’s not a very large salon and although it is very clean and pleasant in décor, it’s not a large fancy spa with dim candle lighting and zen water fountains. However, they are very true to their name, they are a ‘Facial Spa’, and a very good one at that. They also have a number of great products sold at the salon as well. They have Murad, Dermalogica and Shishedo products available. Miharu, the owner is the best! She is always very attentive to what’s going on with my skin, and my face always leaves the spa with a clean and glowing look. Miharu also does really great eye brow waxing. I’m pretty picky about how my brows are shaped and she always shapes them perfectly– not too thin, not to thick, and she trims my tricky Asian eyebrows perfectly as well. I trust my eyebrows and my face to Miharu completely!

This Facial spa was very convenient since I live right across the street and they also use the products I use on my skin, Murad.
Christie Diaz, the co-​owner, did my facial and she was awesome, very professional and friendly. She was thorough and also took the time to explain what she was doing prior to touching me, which is very important. I also enjoyed her expertise at recommending products for my face and I appreciated her being honest. I didn’t feel like she was trying to sell me anything I didn’t need or take advantage of me. When I asked her about moisturizers, she said that what I was using, was fine, and by the way I use cheap old Oil of Olay, but still gave me free samples to try.
What I did not like was the room I was having my treatment in, they boast to have seven rooms yet they placed in me in the front room where the walls do not completely reach the ceiling, so I could pretty much hear all the happenings in their reception area, to include the handyman clanging away at something. Didn’t really help me to relax, or create an illusion of ambience that I usually enjoy with my facials. She did apologize for the noise though.
Next time I will request a room in the back. But there will be a next time. Their treatments are affordable and their products offer sales every now and then.
It seems to me that they have a lot of regulars returning there because of their wonderful customer service and expertise, they’ve been at that location for about 21 years, just under a different name.
I’m glad I tried this place out, I scheduled a return facial in 6 weeks.
