Flip Flop Shops

Bought my first pair of rainbows here with my boyfriend after my Tom’s weren’t cutting it and my toes felt the need to be free.
We ended up having a good conversation with the guy who was working here so I agree with all the other reviews that staff is really nice. Found out he was from the East Coast and then my boyfriend and he started talking about football and girlfriends. I tuned out at that point.
But definitely come buy flip flops here.

This small, bright store has walls crammed with a large selection of flip-​flops, as well as some sandals. The staff was friendly, patient, and fun.

We ALWAYS purchase our flip flops at this location. Very helpful and friendly. When our friends come to town it’s also where we take them to stock up. Prices are usually the best on the street. Thank you flip flop shop. Sorry I forgot all your names. Stef? And the manager, etc

Best place for slippa’s in Waikiki. This is the only place I buy from: all the best brands and prices are lower than the other shops on the street.

I’ve never been tremendously fond of flip flops, but in Hawaii they’re a necessity for all occasions. For one of the best selections anywhere, see the Flip Flop Shop, located in the most touristy of all Honolulu spots, Kalakaua off Waikiki Beach.
There is a sick variety of everything from low end to high end flip flops. Ever seen a pair of flip flops for $ 100? It’s here. Most of the prices are actually fairly pricey for flip flop standards, but there is certainly no denying the quality of every pair. Serious flip floppers would probably buy their pairs here, or at least the same brands somewhere else.
For a guy who has never been crazy about them, I was pleasantly surprised with most of the selection. The customer service was like most Hawaiians: friendly without much pressure. For everything I found comfortable or cool looking, I had only one problem — no flip flops in stock to accommodate my large feet.
You know what they say about guys with big feet? They can’t buy flip flops evidently.

If your searching for really good quality flip flops this is definitely the place to go. Prices are over $ 25 but their shoes are made to last a really long time so well worth the price. The shoes are super comfortable and you get a lot more support so your feet wont hurt as bad as they would walking around in the cheap kind. This shop is right by the Moana Surfrider hotel. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Specifically the store manager Lauren who always happens to be there when I stop by. And they also carry things like sunblock and chapstick. All the must haves for Hawaii.

This place is awesome with a wide variety of flip flops… you won’t find a better selection elsewhere!

Things I forgot to do before coming to Hawaii — paint nails, shave legs, pack flip-​flops. I regretted all three omissions, but the lack of flip-​flops was the most immediate annoyance, and I stopped by the Flip Flop Shop on the first afternoon of our trip.
The place was right in the middle of Waikiki, and it had a great selection of flip flops. I wanted to get a decent quality pair since I was in the market for flip flops even back at home. The selection at this shop was a little higher end than at the ABC Store and other like shops (other ABC Stores, mostly, I guess). I picked up a pair of Rainbows that served me well on the trip, and that I’ve already gotten good use out of since coming back home.
I don’t always Unilocal places when I go shopping, but I thought the service here was notably good. There was one girl running the shop, and she was very helpful and very personable. She knew a lot about flip flops and she really helped me pick out my pair. She didn’t have to be so forthcoming — it was the kind of casual shop where you might expect the young employee to be sullen and bored — but she made my shopping experience a net positive, even though I spent $ 50 on flip flops.
Anyway, the Flip Flop Shop doesn’t rank as destination shopping in Waikiki, but I liked the place. If you’re a terrible packer staying in the area, I would recommend you run your errand here.

If you’re willing to pay over $ 25 for a pair of slippahs, this is your store! Seriously, I’ve always bought cheap flip flops from the drugstore, mainly because I’ve never had the need for a premium pair. I mean, I live in Portland, OR. Wool socks and waterproof Clarks are the footwear of necessity up in the Pacific Northwest. Only the most ardent, hardcore hippies wear flip flops in my neck of the woods.
In any case, I was in serious need of a pair of flip flops while visiting Oahu. Once I got past the initial sticker shock, I settled on a pair of Reef brand. Oh, man, what a difference! You often do get what you pay for and my new slaps are like comfy, squishy heaven on my soles.
A very nice young lady was behind the cash register and kindly disposed of the cheap Longs flip flops that I hobbled inside on. Need some appropriate footwear while vacationing in or around Waikiki? Go here.

This shop has almost every top brand name sandal ever made! It’s location right on the beach is perfect and Steve H. is super friendly and helpful in helping you get the Perfect Slippah! Olukais are abundant, which is a wonderful thing! Great shop, great merchandise, great staff… and right in the middle of Paradise! Check it!

what i like best about the flip flop shops is the nice selection and the friendly service i get every time i go here.
the staff is pretty knowledgeable about the different brands/​types which is nice so you know exactly what you are buying.
give the sanuk yoga mat slippers a try:) they’re super soft and comfy and they come in a nice variety of colors… you can get a pair for every outfit:)

I’m familiar with this store since there’s one in my city. This location on Kalakaua (near Moana Surfrider) is new to us since it wasn’t here last year on our annual trip. I already like Sanuk Yoga Mats at $ 26.00 (the cushiest), and was planning on getting myself an aqua pair. I tried on different brands here, like Island Slipper (pillowy and comfy– made in Hawaii) and OluKai (arch support!!!). I spotted a two stretchy banded wedge pair that I was seriously considering from Island Slipper, but they didn’t have my size (darn). It was around $ 51.99. The sales lady told me that there was another location at the Sheraton (this one is bigger though). The OluKai thong sandals were $ 63.99. Both were stylish, but I was on the search for the perfect pair and something that I could wear at work too, so the Island Slipper pair would have been perfect.
I found a coupon in one of the free books so as part of my V-​day gift (four parts BTW), my hubbie got me a pair of Sanuk Yoga Mats.
I totally agree with Will H. about needing quality flip flops for walking around Waikiki. My feet didn’t hurt so much on this trip until we were standing on our sail, which was the day before our last day on the island. And I owe it all to my quality footwear (zealands, fit flops, sanuks, new balance).

It’s no fun walking around Hawaii with cheap uncomfortable flip flops, and this is place to get the best looking, most comfortable flip flops on the island. The store’s owner, Steve, is very attentive and knowledgeable, he’s set my girlfriend and me up with the best flip flops we’ve ever worn. I threw out all my cheap flip flops after getting a quality pair that doesn’t make my knees and back sore after walking all day.
