Awesome dinner last night, looking forward to returning for breakfast one of these days.

Went here once again and ordered the same thing as last time. The pork belly Benedict, kale salad and Okinawan sweet potato. It was just as delicious as I remembered. To be fair it had only been 3 weeks between visits. The egg yolks came out hard but was quickly replaced with a much softer version and a nice runny yolk. I look forward to my next visit.

Hard to find this little gem but when we did we climbed the stairs signed our names and waited no longer than 15 minutes to be seated. The staff embraced the Hawaiian spirit and were warm and welcoming. We lean in more in healthy choices and had the taro English muffin, kale salad and egg scramble along with papaya yogurt and granola. All of it was healthy, fresh and portioned correctly for two ironman triathletes. Coffee was good too. Take a stop by. We plan to head back for lunch one of these days

HITS: 1) Pork belly eggs benedict = A+ You can NOT go wrong with this dish! Sweet, savory and saucy! The perfect menage a trois =) 2) Bibimbap with a side of soup = A Perfect locally grown veggies. Perfect fried egg. Perfect flavors. Perfect miso soup. The only drawback? A sizzling stone pot to capture the essence of a bibimbap. Who doesn’t love the crispy/crunchy/burnt rice you scrape from the bottom of the stone pot? That’s the best part! 3) Big Island honey French toast with mix berry on the side = A I’m a little bias because I LOVE French toast but I really love how THIS French toast isn’t greasy and heavy. It was super light, super fluffy and the honey drizzled over was truly the cherry on top =) 4) Taro English muffin = B+ It didn’t have a strong taro flavor but I love that it was purple =) Don’t hate. 5) Customer service = A The hubby and I ate here twice =) Goofy was our first meal when we arrived in Waikiki and our last meal when we left. Mind you, the first time we came we had a very late lunch(between 2pm-3pm) so it was practically empty. There was no wait. Seated immediately. Ordered immediately and received our food immediately. The last time we came was during breakfast(between 9am-10am). The place was full. There was a 5 minute wait BUT we still ordered immediately and we still received our food in a reasonable time. MISSES: 1) Farmers omelette with green salad = C Nothing extraordinary. Forgettable. 2) Goofy lemonade = C A bit watered down If and when I go back to Waikiki I will definitely return to Goofy’s. This place is awesome!

My husband and I ate here for breakfast on our last day of vacation. This place obviously did not exist back when I lived here, because the menu was very«granola,» if you know what I mean. I love that this place distinguishes itself from other breakfast places in Waikiki by staying true to local ingredients. I also got a sense of a farm-to-table menu style, which I appreciate. I had the eggs benedict with the taro english muffin and purple japanese potatoes on the side, and my husband had the loco moco. Both dishes tasted yummy, and fresh. It was the perfect cap off to our Hawaii vacation, and I’d wished I discovered this place sooner. The owners really seem to care about serving local first, and organic as much as possible. This place is truly a gem in Waikiki, and I hope it stays for a while until the next time I’m in town! Park in either the Ilikai hotel right next door, or behind paid by the harbor. Btw, their drinks are also very good — morning mojitos!!! :)

Been wanting to try this place out for soooo long… but when you mention to your loving hubby«there’s this Goofy place I want to try», he thinks it’s the Goofy from D-land and immediately thinks of another option to give a shot instead. But, I had a plan! On our anniversary lunch which happened to fall on a holiday(a Monday), I told him I’d been craving another restaurant(won’t mention that in this review). So we headed down to Waiks for lunch sans our 11 month old… and(oops!) that place wasn’t open on weekdays for lunch. Seriously, I did not know why a big restaurant would not be open for lunch in Waikiki. In any case, I took out my wild card(not literally) and suggested we try that«Goofy» place. Although a little suspect, my hubby finally agreed! Yippee!!! I mean why wouldn’t he trust me?! Unilocal Nation spoke with over 1100 reviews for a 4-star rating… I was confident! We signed in and moved to the right side as directed by the signage(yes, people, I read and follow directions to a tee — I am a teacher!) and within in a few seconds we were seated! We ordered the fried rice, green spaghetti, a beer, and a mango margarita. It was the best fried rice, green spaghetti, beer, and mango margarita we’ve ever had. No joke. Ok I’m being a little goofy(get it?!), but I would def get all that again… and it’s even better that hubster and I do «family style» even though it’s just the two of us. Sharing is caring, you know! As for parking, we parked near the Hawaii Prince which was $ 1/hr…there’s not much shopping around but you can def hang at the beach near the Hilton before/after along with your visit to Goofy’s. Service is awesome — took our order fast, food came quick, filled up our water often, and everyone was super nice! Most def, hubby and I will go back and enjoy this secret gem again!

Definitely get the kahlua pork benny. It’s so unique with the perfect sweet and savory combo. I got the Hawaiian omelette and though it was enjoyable, it wasn’t as special as the benny so probably wouldn’t get it again if I came back. The taro English muffin by itself is also a true winner. Perfectly toasted and buttered. Be ready to take a nap afterwards tho and don’t go swimming right away. Suuuper heavy… Bonus: love that they give you simple syrup to add to your coffee rather than the typical sugar packets like most other places do.

When you hear the name, «Goofy», do you think about the Disney character? It’s the funny dog with the long, droopy, black ears, large buck teeth, and dopey personality… Well, put that image out of your mind, because«goofy» in this case refers to Goofy Foot — a surfing term where the right foot is in front of the left foot on the surfboard. Just look at the quaint décor in the restaurant, and you’ll find a picture that hints at this phrase! Anyway, this is my 3rd visit here, so it’s about time to write a review.. especially since I just went to Heavenly which seems to be related to Goofy Café! One of the most memorable meals at Goofy Café was with my Goddaughter and her mom. They were visiting from Virginia. We had such an enjoyable time — they loved the«local food» like the purple Okinawan sweet potatoes — yum! I had the Tropical Fruit Acai Bowl — so fresh and beautiful! On my next visits, I had the Berry Acai Bowl, and the Salmon & Spinach Eggs Benny. Both were delicious and photogenic! Just be aware that there’s No air conditioning and No parking(because this is Waikiki). So, either pay and park nearby, or park at the beach for free and walk… and enjoy the scenery! Goofy Café is a small place, located upstairs of an older building, so be prepared — because I didn’t see an elevator. Also, the restroom is down the hall — remember to ask for the key if you need it. If it’s crowded, write your name on the clipboard and soon, a table will open up… Sometimes, it’s worth it to get Good food; Great service; and Support Local… Check it out! It’s a unique experience! Their motto is: «Local first, organic whenever possible». Cool, huh?

We went on a Wednesday around 5 pm, so we didn’t have to wait at all. The pork belly Eggs Benedict is as good as the other reviews say– something about the hollandaise sauce has just a bit of sweetness(husband guessed honey?) that just makes it perfect. The side of potatoes was simple, but tasty, and I even enjoyed the kale tossed in a bit of lemony dressing. My husband had the Green Spaghetti, because you could smell the pesto as soon as you enter. It came with quite a few good-sized, well-cooked shrimp. The coconut porter was different and enjoyable(husband) and the piña colada smoothie was tasty and fresh, but a bit expensive for the size at $ 9. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and the service. The restaurant has a great sort of sophisticated surf-shack vibe that was very pleasant. Parking looked to be a bit scarce, so we walked from the hotel.(Easy walk from the Hilton Hawaiian Village).

I’ve had this place bookmarked for over 2 years… What stopped me from coming? Its located at the beginning of Waikiki. Now if you don’t live here, you don’t know how much locals dread driving to Waikiki. 1. Traffic 2. No free parking, flat rates or validated with a crazy digit depending where you go. 3. Who else wants to go through those and go with me? Goofy café. my first thought is this d Well finally I got to come here, thanks to Nadine C. Lets say any place that has eggs benedict, I’ll want to go there and try! They serve their eggs benedict with a perfectly shaped poached egg, glazed in hollandaise sauce and lilikoi butter. That sweet and salty mix is something I am a fan of, but the lilikoi butter was too sweet to my liking. Very different from the traditional eggs benedict. I got a kalua pig eggs benedict. It also comes with okinawan sweet potato and kale… yes KALE! For you health fanatics out there. Sad that I couldn’t finish my food but I definitely come back!

Good, but not sure it’s worth the hype. Come early if you don’t want to wait(around 7am early) We ate here twice the first time I had an overpriced loco moco which wasn’t anything special it’s what you would expect, but the serving size was huge you could share it with a side of fruit. The next time I got their green smoothie which was good, a little chunky near the bottom, and an omelette(no substitutions!) which ended up being overcooked eggs in a small cast iron pan topped with the filling. My husband got the pork eggs Benedict, while although the eggs were perfectly poached the bbq sauce overpowered everything and the purple sweet potatoes weren’t very good.

In and out in less than an hour Ticket time short due to small menu; easy to choose what you want Egg Benedict really good! Wish muffin was toasted a little more. Even liked the hollandaise French toast, simple but packs a lot of flavor The place is goofy like the name Nice indoor/outdoor feeling.

AMAZINGBREAKFAST! We just had breakfast here and so far in the 3 days we’ve in Honolulu this is the BEST! We ordered the Very Berry French Toast and the Kalua Pork Benedict, OMG were the good! So savory, delicious, and filling! The berries and bananas on my French Toast were so FRESH, as was the light syrup and whipped cream! My husbands Benedict was the most savory dish he has had in awhile, he was smiling the whole time he was eating! The service was excellent as well, everyone was polite, friendly, and very quick to assist us! We got here at 7:15 am and when we left at 8 there was a line of people waiting for seats, GETHEREEARLY! Not to be missed, husband waves to go back tomorrow morning!

Goofy Café is located on Ala Moana Blvd right after the Ilikai Hotel. Parking in Waikiki is always difficult. You can park in a hotel and pay $$ or you can do what we did. We parked at Ala Moana Beach park and just walked over: D When you come here, come before you are actually hungry because there will be a wait. Some days may be busier than others. The Grub. [[ SALMONBENEDICT $ 14 ]] A couple things about this bene. First off, the salmon was cooked. Secondly, the hollandaise is made with lilikoi butter — so its oddly sweet. NOT A FAN. [[ HAWAIIANCLASSICOMELETTE $ 12 ]] So first of all, this isnt am omelet, its a skillet. So we were honestly a bit confused when the food came out. However, the food was still good, we were just expecting something else. Overall: Since this was my first time here, I guess I had higher expectations since I heard good things from friends and saw good Unilocal reviews. Honestly I was not impressed by the eggs Benedict. I didn’t like that it was sweet and I would have preferred regular crispy potatoes instead of the mushy sweet potatoes.

Our party of 6 didn’t need to wait long for a table, even though we had a few parties ahead of us. The waiting area is outside of the restaurant and a little awkward because it is in the upper walkway of a shared complex housing a few other businesses. We were seated at the large table right near the bar, which was nice because we had all of the space to ourselves and were separated from the rest of the noise from the main dining area. Service was friendly and the guy who took our order offered a few recommendations. Although there was a little bit of a language barrier, if you repeat yourself a few times, it shouldn’t be too bad. We ordered the poke bowl, green spaghetti(mine), and bibimbap and had a fun time swapping them with each other so that we all got a try. The green spaghetti is angel hair pasta and shrimp tossed in a pesto based pasta sauce. I’m not sure if it was the olive oil, but the entire dish seemed overly greasy to me. It was delicious, and really hit the spot — don’t get me wrong — but I think that it could have used a little less oil or butter or whatever they used to give the pasta its shine. :P The fish in the poke bowl isn’t marinated, which gives it the usual beautiful shine of poke, but don’t let this deter you. The poke bowl is very well made! The fish is cut in huge 1-inch cubes and seated on a bed of green salad, sea asparagus, and rice. I had more of the poke than I thought I would, given that I’d just had poke the night before… but what do you know, poke fever. The bibimbap came with a complimentary bowl of soup, which was nice, but not necessary when the weather outside was as beautiful as it was. The bibimbap comes hot, but not in a stone bowl, and is similar to that you’d get at a Korean restaurant. The portions were generous and there was a wide assortment of veggies if that’s what you are looking for. :) The bartender had made extras of two different types of smoothies and a juice, and since we’d been seated in the bar area closest to him, he was nice enough to bring them out for us to sample. Everyone really enjoyed their meals — even my cousin and aunt who’d just landed in Hawaii from Taipei! We would have gone back again if we had more time, since we were just a few steps away in Hilton Village. FYI, if you are looking for a comparably priced(maybe a tad bit cheaper) meal than what you can find in the resort, definitely give Goofy’s a try, they are right on the outside the resort… we could actually see the restaurant from our balcony in the Kahlia tower!

One time I came in with a friend and they gave me a free drink just bcus they notice I come here often. How awesome is that? If ur ever on the island or if u live here and never gone then u must check this place out. Ull thank me later.

Goofy Café is a cute, out-of-the-way breakfast /brunch spot on the outskirts of Waikiki. I had been dying to try this place for quite some time, so I had already done a little research on this place. Fun fact: Goofy Café isn’t named after the famous Disney character. Its name references the board-rider«footing» stance, or footedness, with the right foot leading and the left foot in back towards the tail end of the board. EGGSBENEDICT We shared one order of the PORKBELLY eggs benedict and one order of the KALUAPORK eggs benedict — both on taro muffins. Each plate came with a small mixed-greens salad and some purple sweet potato. The hollandaise sauce was not the usual creamy-tangy sauce, but more on the sweeter side — almost tropical tasting. My palate leans more towards the tangier type of hollandaise, but this was an enjoyable twist. PINEAPPLEMARGARITA Refreshing and bright. A tasty twist on a staple frou-frou cocktail. I’d order it again, especially because it tastes like I’m on vacation. AMBIENCE The overall ambience of Goofy Café is pleasant, low-key, and comfortable. The restaurant is backdropped with reclaimed wood and touches of beachy décor, making this a cute spot to dine at for vacationers and staycationers alike. PARKING Always pretty cumbersome in Waikiki. We parked in the pay-lot stalls behind the Modern and the Ilikai, but you are not limited to only that area. There’s also parking by the Hilton Lagoon, which is nearby as well. I recommend wearing decent /comfortable footwear(not stilettos) because you will most likely have to walk a bit, even from the nearest parking lot(unless you Über or taxi it). VERDICT Out of the way and very cute for both locals and visitors looking for a nice and easy breakfast or brunch. Parking is iffy and definitely a slight walk from any nearby parking lot. I enjoyed what I had(along with the company and conversation — of course) and would easily recommend this place to a friend.

My husband and I were staying at a hotel nearby and were starving so we decided to go here based on the reviews. It’s a pretty small place. We had to wait 20 – 30 minutes, but it was a Sunday morning. The service was good for the most part except our food came out later than other tables that were seated after us. I ordered the pork eggs benedict and my husband ordered the chocolate french toast. I liked that they gave you purple potatoes for a side. The taro muffin was also a unique touch because I’ve never seen that before. When it comes to all the eggs benedicts I’ve tried, this one was just okay. For my husband, his french toast was not chocolatey enough if that is a real complaint. lol The prices are a little high in my opinion. The portions are a good size, but the flavors are pretty standard.

Update: This has become my go to breakfast spot every time I visit home. I really love this place and am glad that it seems to have established itself. The breakfast here is really unique and so delicious, you really can’t find another breakfast spot on the island like here. Keep on doing what you’re doing! Amazing atmosphere, simple and healthy foods that taste great and make you feel great. My initial thought when reading about this place was«Another fancy breakfast joint in Waikiki? Good luck», but this place is fantastic and stands out from most of the other breakfast restaurants around Oahu. This place is definitely a hole in the wall, but it worth the trip(I came all the way from Mililani on the morning of my flight leaving Oahu). I had the Kalua Pig Benedict, which had a nice Hollandaise sauce with a very subtle hint of lilikoi. It also came with a fantastic kale salad and some oven roasted sweet potato! Very out of the ordinary but very enjoyable as well. To be honest the tender pork sounded better but they were out that morning(I’d recommend it as the kalua pig isn’t strong enough in flavor to overcome the Hollandaise sauce’s richness). Also tried the loco moco, pretty standard. And got to sample the french toast which is where they really excel. They had one with cinnamon pineapples which seemed as though the pineapples had been cooked in some kind of sauce leaving an amazingly original taste. What’s also great is that the french toast comes with syrup already on it, but maintains its taste and texture. Overall, the food is spot on. One note to the service though, they really should serve everyone’s food at the same time. In our group of 4, two of the dishes came out, and they were finished by the time the other two came. But I can overlook that as I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. In the future, I’d really love to come back for dinner as it seems like a great place to lounge and have a couple drinks.
