H-Zone

I grew up watching UH sports with my dad. What better way to support them than going to their games wearing UH Athletics gear. Proceeds from the store help support UH Athletics too! They sell something for every sport and something for everyone: from drywick polos to baby onesies. Everyone in your family will find something to wear. UH pencils and pens, stress balls, water bottles, and bags are sold too.
H-​Zone is located in between Paul Brown & Bed, Bath & Beyond in the Ward Center. They used to sell tickets to UH sporting events but stopped once they switched over to the H-​Zone from Rainbowtique (different owners). Wish they would bring that back because it’s more convenient to do that than make it down to the Stan Sherrif to grab tickets.

This was once called the Rainboutique… don’t know why they needed a name change. I don’t really care for the new one either. Okay, name aside, it’s a great store to get your University of Hawaii gear. They have inventory constantly changing for the different sports. They have items for men, women, children, and pets too! If your are looking for some UH gear this is the place to go! No taxes, what you see is what you pay.

I remember this place used to be called «Rainbowtique» but now I do not know about the name. «H-​Zone» sounds pretty cool and modern but if you think about it and when you think about it, it is like name changing the «Rainbow Warriors» to just the «Warriors.» Anyways, there will always be that confliction between traditional and modern. They have other locations at the UH Manoa bookstore, Waikiki, and the Stan Sheriff center. This one is located inside the Ward Shopping Center next to what is now Bed/​Bath/​Beyond somewhat near the entrance there. I am giving this place five stars because this is thee place to get AUTHENTIC University of Hawaii ATHLETICS merchandise. There were be many many others out there that sell their own attire, clothing, etc. but when you buy here, you know you are buying straight outta the University, and you know you are really SUPPORTING the University through your purchase here. They have a variety of UH products over here like keychains, sweaters, sweatpants, jerseys, shirts, shorts, decals, banners, and many many more UH fan gear kind of stuff. You will of course see mostly football gear here though. You can also see some of these guys at the UH games selling stuff from booths and stuff. I think you might be able to buy things cheaper at the school on campus since this location here caters more to tourists and stuff but it is still cool to check out. The staff and customer service is ok. You will mostly see and find students working here (only makes sense right). Another cool thing about visiting the store is that if there is a UH game on, then you can watch it. It will most likely be football or volleyball though haha. I am a UH alumnus so yeah you can see the bias in pretty much the rating and review overall haha.

H-​Zone located in the Ward Centre. This store establishment supports the University of Hawaii Athletic department. I always thought the name of the store was Rainbow Boutique… I guess they changed the name to H-​Zone to be more masculine.
The shop is filled with clothing for the men, women, and a small section for the children. There’s t-​shirts, jackets, and even sweatshirts. There are other UH merchandises like caps and towels that can be purchased at this location.
My only and recent visit to H-​Zone I was in search for a sweatshirt that I could use for work. I browsed around the store until I found a sweatshirt that was big enough and comfortable enough. Too bad that the sweatshirt did not come in white. I did purchase the charcoal gray color of the sweatshirt. I’ll definitely come back to H-​Zone in the future to purchase another sweatshirt… after all the winter season is right around the corner.
The employees of H-​Zone were very friendly and helpful. This establishment accepts cash and credit cards as payment.

The new University of Hawaii «H-​Zone» store seems about three times larger than the former Rainbowtique, which is good since the Rainbowtique always seemed pretty small. The H-​Zone has a good selection of t-​shirts, sweaters, hoodies, jerseys, hats, slippers, aloha shirts, beach towels, etc., though the selection was more limited than I expected considering how big this store is, but they just opened not too long ago so I assume they will eventually expand their product line. I did not buy anything during my initial visit since nothing really appealed to me, but I’m sure something will catch my eye when I return. I do not care for the store’s name since it sounds generic and unimaginative so I suggest UH think of a more unique name than «H-​Zone». Go ‘Bows!
