Brandon was awesome. We walked in to talk about what we wanted. He scheduled appointments for us both immediately. I brought back snap shots of research and he was able to give me exactly what I wanted! Kudos to you sir. Can’t wait to see what you drum up with my better half tomorrow night! Really felt chill and welcomed by part-​time TV show extra and Raider fan (go Raiders!) Brandon H. I like to bring in a basic idea to a session and prefer artists to have a lot of say, and he was really willing to flow with what I had in mind. The freehand wave, shading, micro script, and my negative space stars (that he hadn’t done in 10 years lol) were all on point and complimented my existing pieces. Great experience.

Leaving Hawaii today. Stayed a week long and I finally had some time away from my family to get my first tattoo. Visited this one down the street and honestly told the guys, Joe and Blue, that I’m a first timer, showed them my design and asked for help regarding anything I don’t know and anything I need to know before we get started to the moment it’s done healing. Joe, my artist, made my first tattoo experience THE best and he bestowed a lot of knowledge about getting tattoos upon me while we chit chatted during me sesh. Thank you for everything Joe! My world came out perfect! Mahalo!

LIVID WITH THIS SHOP. made a reservation a few days ago for an appointment for tonight at 8pm. we get there and OOPS! THEY FORGOT TO PUT US INTO THEIR BOOKS FOR AN APPOINTMENT. do they take us because THEY messed up?! NO. they send us to another tattoo shop. get your priorities straight. I thought this was going to be a good shop since it’s gotten so many good reviews. obviously I was wrong.

I’ve been getting tattooed by Kevin since 2006. Everything that’s good on my body is from him. After I left for the mainland in 2010 I’ve been trying to get back. I finally found him at Hale Nui and got an amazing piece that represents my daughter; it’s just as awesome as everything else he’s done. He once again took my idea and made it his own, which in turn made it so much better. The color, line work, and shading is on point.
Kevin is a pleasure to talk with during the tattoo and I’m glad I got to him. I trust that his crew would have the same courtesy and results he provides. I can’t wait to fly back and get more.

For my very first tattoo, I couldn’t have chosen to go to a better establishment and to have a veteran in the business like Kevin be my artist. The place was clean and all the equipment sterile. Kevin’s hand was light and my experience was great. Full recommendations.

All the dudes in there are the best. That Sharky guy in there is one cool puppy and plays awesome music. Can’t wait for him to draw out my shark tattoo!!! The younger handsome dudes Chris and Daniel are about my age and we have great conversations and talk for hours. Mike and Kevin are BMXers like myself so we have a bunch in common. The atmosphere is always welcoming when I’m there. Great place to go and hang out. I bring all my friends here.

I went here because my friend knew him and helped me set up an appointment. I got exactly what I wanted and it was fast! Of course it wasn’t a big piece but I am very happy with it. Price wise is just fine too. The place looked clean and spot less, very sanitary and was easy to relax in. The people there were really chill and easy to talk to as well. Definitely recommend them.
I went back a second time and got a little moon on my wrist with a friend. Everyone again was real nice and easy to talk to.

My third tattoo and my wife’s second/​third here in Waiks. Mike does excellent work, especially talented with lettering. We have made a couple of trips here and find these guys to be friendly, in a very busy shop with many Hawaii visitors popping in and out all the time. Clean and high quality work in a shop that attracts interesting people, while pulsing with aloha!
Looking forward to some more work in the near future. Mahalo, big house boyz!

Made an appt with Mark after I was disappointed at another tattoo place. I wanted a fleur de lis in white ink and outlined in purple, gold and green. I didn’t exactly get what I wanted but the tattoo still came out good. Mark was very nice and friendly and made me comfortable since this was my first tat. He told me to comeback and get touch ups whenever I want for free. The only reason they are getting 3 stars is because I didn’t get exactly what I had in mind but like I said the tat came out nice anyway.

Hands down one of the best tattoo shops I’ve been to. I started coming here November of 2013 and hadn’t stopped. If you go, go see Little Chris. He will hook you up! I’ve now gotten 4 tattoos from him and am already planning on more in the future. For being in Waikiki, they have great prices! Always friendly guys there, and overall their shop is awesome. You will not be disappointed if you go here!

I finally got my tattoo finished and I couldn’t be happier. Chris is great, he makes sure you’re comfortable. All the guys are really nice. Besides that I believe I said everything else in my previous review. Highly recommended if in Waikiki!

Well it’s been almost 3 weeks and my tattoo is not healed well. I have some scarring and all in all I’m real disappointed. Another problem is the shop is dirty. It sucks because the guys are great in there. I’m an avid collector but don’t th8nk I’d go back

My friends and I decided to get tattoos to commemorate our first trip to Waikiki. We did some research and found some great reviews on Unilocal and realized the shop was like a block from our condo! We popped in and met Chris who is the one we were hoping to see! He was sweet, skilled, totally accommodating and cuuuute!
He advised us to come back right before we were leaving to get them and booked appointments for us.
We all got our tattoos done the night we left this beautiful place and couldn’t be happier. If I’m ever lucky enough to get back to Honolulu I’ll be sure to stop in and see Little Chris again, that magnificent babe!

I made an appointment with Mark here and that day I had to change the time. I spoke with him 3 times to ensure this was ok. I drove all the way into Waikiki from Kailua and upon my arrival he tells me that because of me he lost $ 400 and that he wanted $ 100 to even talk about the design and that he wasn’t even going to do it for me tonight after I had made the appointment to get it done. He was SO RUDE AND HOSTILE. Totally NEVER getting my tattoo done there! I advise the same for you.
I am appalled by the business owners disrespect and very serious lack of professionalism.
Do not get your tattoo done here, you WILL be disappointed.

Tattoo artists, Big Island Mike/​Mark/​Little Chris are my personal favorites… I would say Vince as well but he is elsewhere now :(
QUALITY WORK!!! that is HUGE for someone like myself, one who wants quality over cheap and quick~ the atmosphere is CHILL!!! always laughter and joking around and it just makes you FEEL good getting work done from people who can be chill, who don’t make you feel like «Why are you here?» or feel like «Why do you want that?»
Located off of Kuhio Ave one major street up from Kalakaua not far from most hotels ~ it is a quaint little shop, the guys are friendly and knowledgeable~
SERIOUSLY!!! go here if you want something worth the while and worth your money.
Oh yeah and go when you are on your last day of Hawaii~ don’t go if you are on your first day or 2 days into your vacation~ SUN/​SALT WATER not the best for fresh tattoos

Called early in the morning and got set up with Vince that same afternoon. We dropped of custom designs with him with some specific instructions to tweak them around and he was more that happy to comply. He did both of our tattoos in about 4 hours while we charged our phones and watched half a season of Fringe. All around phenomenal experience with the staff and skill level. Both pieces turned out amazing and it is very apparent Vince and the rest of the staff has a great deal of pride in their work. Would absolutely recommend!!!

Mike has always done my tats … Since when he was first at South Pacific Tattoos with Wando. Love love love Mike. And I’m glad he opened this shop when the other closed down.
He’s done both sides of my ribs and my arm. I’m going back to get my ‘birthday tat’ done!!!
I recommend this shop to EVERYONE!!! Mike is very meticulous in his work so you know it will always turn out awesome! He does beautiful work! I love the crew there, they are always friendly, and joking around … The atmosphere there is relaxed … makes getting your tat an even better experience …
