These delivery drivers have no respect or consideration for their neighbors.
I live next door to a mid-​sized local restaurant. They do a lot of business, and their product is good. They get deliveries from a lot of distributors, and Ham is one. I’m sure their food is on par with the other distributors, but their employees and business practices leave a lot to be desired.
Every morning it seems like they arrive with their refrigerated trucks roaring: engine idling and cooling-​unit on full blast for between ten minutes and half an hour. They leave the doors open while they unload and deliver the produce, which contributes to the noise. This might improve the quality of the produce marginally, but it detracts from my sleep. As a grad student working full-​time, that’s a problem. But one wonders how this contributes to the quality of the food, if all that cold air is escaping — along with that sound — into the quiet atmosphere.
It is common practice for them to leave the roll-​up doors open even after totally unloading their deliveries, with cooling unit blaring, I suppose while they do some paperwork inside the resturant.
Why they have to do this, I’m not sure. I have spoken with several of their delivery drivers before. Sometimes there is cussing; sometimes there is less overt hostility. I often see prison tattoos and the wild look of a meth addict in recovery. I have had to contact the management of the local eatery several times, since Ham Produce doesn’t seem to be able to adequately train its staff.
So if you want loud, former convicts with no regard for your neighbor’s peace and quiet; and angry neighbors emailing and calling you every couple of weeks — go with Ham!

Ham Produce is the best on the island without a doubt even though their Unilocal page doesn’t get much love.
I switched over about 2 months ago and I’ll never use anyone else again for my produce and poultry needs. Generally best prices as well.
Call them. Their entire staff is professional especially Bob Phu. You will be treated like your business matters

They are a great source for fresh produce and dry goods. Seems like they do great work for small restaurants and try their best to stock what you need. I have always found their produce to be fresh. Just wish that they had a wider selection of meats and seafoods.
Placing orders is a breeze… when an issue arises, communication with them is wonderful!
