Super fresh! Extremely fast! Highly recommend! A bit of a whole in the wall, but don’t be discouraged! On the small size, so probably best for parties of four or less.

I did a search on Unilocal for Best Sushi restaurant. I read the reviews and was only like 500 feet away. We ate here and the reviews are spot on. Loved they dynamite roll, the dragon roll and the spicy tuna. I would come back for sure.

Delicious food in very traditional setting. Not the typical chain-looking place. Sushi and poke were both great.

Great food and our server was very sweet, polite, and a joy to talk to. The food came out very fast, and was very tasty. Ahi Poke bowls were great, we had both the regular and spicy. We may be back here before our vacation ends.

A delightful hole in the wall with 5 tables and limited seating that is operated by a friendly Korean couple serving up great Japanese sushi. The place is located within the Beachwalk Student Suites and when it is open, the gates to the property are open so you can get access to the place. I had the popular shrimp tempura udon soup and it was very tasty and flavorful. The fried mandoo are Korean dumplings that were homemade and quite a treat. The fish here is very fresh! If you are looking for a quaint place for some great sushi and ahi poke, make a stop here for lunch and definitely try it out.

Wholeheartedly one of my favorite sushi places on the island of Oahu. The sushi her is fresh, put together with supreme care & all delivered by a sweet husband & wife team who work hard to ensure you leave full & satisfied. Despite being a little on the pricey side, I love the sushi here, I love the vintage Hawaiiana décor & I love the hole in the wall atmosphere. Try the Shoyu Ahi Poke for a great combination of Japanese Hawaiian flare, as well as Dynamite Roll for a little punch of heat. This is one place I have to hit up each time I visit Waikiki. I love it here.

Really cute little restaurant off the beaten path in Waikiki. The food was good, I would give it 3-stars. Nothing standout but a solid sushi option. The service was wonderful. The staff was so attentive and sweet with our little one as we grabbed a quick dinner. Cute place that doesn’t feel toursity at all.

This was a good restaurant with decent priced hand rolls. It was sort of difficult to find, so keep your eye out.

This place was incredible. It’s also incredibly small, but don’t let that fool you, because the food was excellent. Once you enter from off the street, don’t blink, just turn right and go through the door — — I walked past it the first time, looking for a more grandeur entrance. There are 4 tables inside; 3 tables for 2 – 3 people, and 1 table for 4±. There are 2 tables outside, both tables 4±. I had a hot green tea — recommend. Spicy Ahi poke — highly recommend. Red dragon — highly recommend. Rainbow roll — recommend. Everything was prepared exceptionally, and the fish was fresh. The spiciness was spot on, and very tasteful. Definately worth the stop. It’s BYOB, but there a place to pick up something to drink just outside the entryway.

Was not expecting to be wowed, but it was definitely great sushi! Fresh, tasty and fast. We had a group of 6 and we had a really enjoyable night sitting in the courtyard(it’s a tiny hole in the wall). Our favorite item was the Red Dragon Roll. Customer service was good.

Do not go here. Awful customer service. The women in this picture swore at me when I asked to purchase poke but try a piece first. She kicked me out of the store. Go anywhere but here.

This is a home made Japanese restaurant and apparently owned by Korean family. The portion of the meal is very small and price is a little bit high for the number of food you get. The taste is very good. I don’t think I would go back and okay for trying it.

Good enough sushi in a little hole-in-the-wall place. We stopped in mid-afternoon on a weekday and were the only customers in the place, so service wasn’t a problem. The sushi we had was good but not the best we’ve ever had. Strangely a single dab of wasabi was brought out for all the sushi and rolls we ordered, and I like lots of wasabi. Overall, this is worth a stop if you are in the area, but it’s not worth going far out of your way to get here.

I have been here three times and I don’t plan on going back anymore. I was ready to give this place three or even four stars but I cannot anymore. The service seems to get slower with each visit. I know there are only two people working there but there is never more than three or four tables with a couple of people. As a hole in the wall this place has prices comparable with that of more upscale restaurants in Waikiki. The seaweed on my Spicy Ahi Poke roll was already starting to unwrap when they presented me with the plate. Otherwise the roll was decently tasty. While ordering I found a large hair on my menu — I know these things can happen but please clean the menu. The last straw was when she coughed four times right over my sushi as she was making it — if your going to do that please walk away or don’t do this right in front of me as I am looking at you. That just made me feel sick and unappreciated for giving them business. I won’t be back again.

Best ahi poke of my life. My initial reaction to this place was to walk out because the service was not too great and the menu looked really shabby. But after staying, holy mother of lords, I have been reborn. The only thing I regret is not having more food stuck in my teeth for later. I swear. This poke will change your life.

This is very much a hole-in-the-wall. They serve quality food, but everything is a tad pricey for the portions — especially given the dingy surroundings and the iffy service. It’s actually located in the courtyard of a student dormitory, and shares one bathroom stall with the rest of the public area. eek! The restaurant dining area is a mish-mash of foldable furniture and old dining tables and the décor is a bunch of random nicknacks. Seriously, if you need to impress your dining partner, don’t bring him/her here! I came here twice — once with my parents and then again with extended family. Both times, I ordered the ahi tuna poke bowl, which is around $ 12 for a small portion of fish on sushi rice. They obviously use good quality fish, which is freshly tossed in a soy sauce and sesame oil dressing and served with a few slices of avocado and some wakame. Delicious, but I can’t stop harping about the price! I didn’t order or have any of the non-raw-fish-related dishes from here, although some of my aunts and cousins did. If you are going to make a trip here and drop the dough though, I’d really suggest you have the fish! I also noticed that the veggie rolls and the tempuras took a reallyyyyy long time to make — like we were half way done with our meals before they arrived, which leads me to the conclusion that they don’t make them often. Another reason why you should just order something with fish!

This is a hidden gem for sure. Don’t go expecting a nice fancy establishment. All the furniture and décor do not match. Inside seems a like old and dingy. It was a nice evening so we decided to sit outside. Also go for the food and not service. Dynamite roll was ok. But would have been great if the tempura didn’t taste it was fried hours ago. Rainbow roll was great fresh and delicious Spicy ahi was also great. Definitely had a kick to it. Nothing extreme.

Definitely a cute little hole in the wall business in Waikiki. Restaurant was small and had no ac. Service was great and the quality in their sushi was reasonable. If you want something quick and easy, come here!

For the amount of food you get, it is pricey, but then again it is on Waikiki nestled by some nice hotels. I really enjoyed my ahi spicy poke salad, it was flavorful and fresh. My friend’s udon soup was flavorful and filling. My only complaint was the service. The woman working did not have good customer service skills. She was rude and did not like how we wanted extra napkins because she«pays for everything.» Given her pricing she should have more than enough for some paper napkins.

I normally try not to leave bad reviews for mom and pop’s because they try. That being said, there was no trying here. The service is miserable. The Korean woman was unfriendly and didn’t acknowledge me until her coworker spotted me waiting. I should have left then. After I paid for my small sashimi and side of rice to-go order, I waited almost 30 min. sitting right in front of the cash register when the lady realized she forgot to put in my order. Just waiting and waiting… And by the time I got it I had to split and noticed the missing rice I paid extra for. It’s on my way to work so I walked by hoping I could order the same thing and actually get what I paid for, but after waiting five minutes for anybody to acknowledge me I left. Severely irritating deficit of service leads me to conclude you’d be better off buying sushi from 7 – 11
