I’m so disappointed with this place. This was the first time my husband sent me flowers since he’s doing an overseas tour, and I was so excited. Sadly, that changed quite quickly.
Where do I begin? I received a bouquet of old flowers, really. Not all the flowers were old, some of the lilies are okay, but within a day my roses all went to crap.
I have been growing roses with my family for most of my life, back in Canada, and the 2 varieties I received in my bouquet were very unfortunate, old and quite frankly, ugly.
This saddens me as every woman would like to preserve her flowers for as long as possible, especially with such a beautiful intention behind it.
To top it all off, the note that was sent was a joke also; they couldn’t even put a whole word on one line, but instead cut words in half on 2 lines, just looked very tacky and cheap.
This is the last time we use this place!
After reading all the bad reviews on here, do yourselves a favour and order from another company; it isn’t worth it.
Also, the company should do something nice for their disgruntled patrons to at least show they care about their business. Sadly, this is all too common in our beautiful state.

Ordered flowers from them for Mother’s Day. They were exactly as advertised and came on time despite the assumed seasonal rush. Would definitely order from them again.

I’m away from home yet again this Mother’s Day. I did the ol’ Google and found Honolulu Florist to be on top of the query results and so I placed my order and went with it. Told Daddy C. to make sure he picks up Mama C. from work on Friday so that she wouldn’t have to lug it home with her on the bus. He agrees and I place the online order.
Cue victory dance and the «I am such a great daughter» feelings.
Then cue Daddy C.‘s email of: «Oh btw, Mama C. is taking off on Friday so maybe you should have it delivered on Thursday instead».
whomp. whomp. whomp.
By the time I read that email, the florist was closed. No problem, I left a message. It freaked me out that I called an 800 number instead of an 808 number.
The next morning, I waited for their call. I understand I’m a few hours ahead so I waited a couple of hours after they opened in Hawaii to place the call again to make the change of delivery. This time I called the 808 number. A lady answers, sounding a bit flustered. I had told her I had called earlier and left a message. She didn’t acknowledge it but instead asked me for my order number. I had the order history online up and couldn’t find it. She repeated again that she needed an order number. I pulled up the email and found it (luckily!). She found me and paused for a few moments before replying that «yeah I guess we can do it».
Cue awkward moment.
We then hung up. It was odd she didn’t give me a confirmation of delivery change (is that not normal? I have no idea since I’m a n00b at ordering flowers). It was also odd that they didn’t include the order number on my online account (that should be added for convenience).
The flowers look beautiful and Mama C. got them on time. No complaints but I wish the online ordering was a little better and then phone person was a little more gung ho about their job. I understand that it’s quite busy for them this week and weekend but hey! I’m spending almost a $ 100 to get flowers to my mom! Eeeeek.

This place is the BIGGEST joke. How are they still in business? My husband ordered me a bouquet for valentines day. What I got was absofreakinglutely nothing like the picture. It’s so bad that I can’t believe they were serious. First off, the idiot delivery man just left the flowers in my lobby. Yeah, my lobby. Not with security who accepts deliveries. Never called me when my # was clearly on the delivery slip and didn’t bother using the intercom system either. That’s THREE FREAKING ways of delivering he didn’t use. Just left it for someone to steal. My security guard found it while making his rounds and called me. WHY DON’T I GIVE HIM THE $ 20 SERVICE CHARGE? Secondly, I really doubt anyone would want to steal the flowers due to just HOW UGLY THEY WERE. Before I knew it was from my husband I literally thought someone was playing a joke on me. Or that it was a gift from someone who didn’t like me. The flowers looked like it was whatever leftovers they had at the store and they haphazardly threw it together. The colors looked like sh*t. It reminded me of dog vomit. A bouquet a dog ate and regurgitated. The quality was poor as hell. The lilies were actually HALF LILIES. YES, I GOT HALF A FLIPPING FLOWER. the flowers were browning and wilting already. There were actually empty holes in the arrangement were flowers should’ve been. They even skimped on the filler greens and baby’s breath. And it was tiny. My husband ordered a large or medium size. Those $ 12 pre-​made bouquets at Safeway are 10x nicer than this POS I got that my husband paid… wait for it…$ 70 for. That’s $ 69.99 too much. I don’t care for valentines Day much or receiving flowers but what pissed me off about this was just the lack of effort and how blatantly bad it was from start to finish. I called and was told the manager was too busy to take my call and later got a voicemail from her apologizing and that she will speak to the delivery man. «But I’m glad you got your flowers anyway!» Um, NO. Appreciate the call back but not the crap quality of your product. (I’ll upload a picture; it’s ridiculous.)

Yo! These ladies go!
I called at 2:30 on Valentines day to ask for a bouquet pick up at 5pm (this is right at closing). Whatever I could get, I believe my order was «here’s a price, please just make it look like it wasn’t last minute.»
I left work at 4:30 to hop on the parking lot we call Nimitz, at 5:30 they called me, asking where I was, (luckily I wasn’t far, considering it took me 45 minutes to get from the airport to restaurant row.) I pulled in to the lot and walked in to a waiting audience, I felt so bad that they all had had to stick around waiting for my last minute nonsense, but then I was handed the bouquet, and Oh My Crap! It was far more than I expected, and extremely beautiful. The florists that had put it together asked me how I liked it and told me, she just tried to follow my order preference. The most beautiful thing I have ever had the privilege of purchasing.
I believe I have found my go to girls. They are amazing!

For Valentine 2013 I ordered an arrangement for my girlfriend. the arrangement was way over stuffed! I had selected the upgrade and payed extra because I thought the vase size would be larger along with the quantity of flowers in it. Nope. They decided to overstuff the arrangement in a tiny round bowl. I am so disappointed! My girlfriend loves stargazer lilies however the flowers were all stuffed together they looked like a bunch of umbrella in a small box. I do not recommend this florist, they def did not take the time to arrange my order!!!

I called first thing in the morning to order a tropical arrangement for a special person who was spending the week working in Hawaii. Tammy, who I spoke to on the phone, was very helpful. The arrangement I wanted from their website was unavailable so she said they could put something together for me.
Tammy went above and beyond trying to complete my order. I had a handwritten note I wanted to include in the delivery. I’m in California so it’s not like I can drive there and and hand it to them directly. Eventually my note (either through fax or email scan) made it. Tammy called me immediately and said they had received it and the driver was taking it right out to the delivery site.
The delivery site is one of my companies stores on Hawaii. I called the store and said there was a delivery coming for Miss Special and asked if he would make sure she got it.
She did receive it in the middle of her training class just as I had wanted. My plan worked out well, I looked great to Miss Special, and I’m as happy as can be.
If I ever wanted to order flowers in Hawaii again, I’d call Honolulu Florist.

Coincidentally, my boyfriend decided to give them another chance for my birthday since I would not be on base that day. The flowers were delivered, however, they were already dying when they were delivered. Yet another poor experience from Honolulu Florist.
Now, just a follow-​up to someone accusing me of simply being a disgruntle customer and accusing me of falsely calling Honolulu Florist anti-​military (which I did NOT say). They accepted the order three weeks in advance — this was not a last minute order and the address given for delivery was ON BASE. They accepted orders and then contacted the people they were supposed to deliver to for alternate addresses because they made a CONCIOUS DECISION to not deliver to the requested addresses due to high volume and the «hassle» of getting on base (what the manager told me when I called) — not that they couldn’t, they claimed to deliver on base every other day. THAT is why I said they fail to support service members.

Have you ever been inside of their store? It’s very unorganized and uninviting. It literally is a flower chop shop. I’ve seen really nice arrangements come out of there and heard of the really bad ones. I went there to pick up a last minute lei. I was looking for decent and cheap. It didn’t have to be perfect as long as it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. This was on May 9, four days before Mothers day.
I walk in and go straight to the refer since no one was at the counter. I look at the leis and the cheapest ones were all limp and nearly dead. And they were still trying to sell them for $ 5-​$ 10. I didn’t have time to look for another florist so I had to settle for what they had. If it wasn’t dead for $ 5, it was fresh for $ 20-​$ 30. yikes! Every «sale» lei I looked at had a dead flower or was super old. What’s funny is the «new» price was still attached. She tells me, we couldnt sell it for $ 28.99 so now its $ 8.99. Lady, you couldn’t sell it for a buck with it dead. Jeez. She kept pulling the sale leis out and saying out loud, «dis one dead. oh… dis one dead… oh dis one get one dead flawah.» I was tempted to ask for «half dead» leis. Since the fresh ones were expensive. LOL!
I finally settled for the traditional micro ginger lei for $ 15. it’ll have to do. The ladies were nice which made up for what they were lacking. I looked all around the refers and they had a crapload of bouquets all ready made and sitting in the fridge. «For Mothers Day I assume? You guys must be busy!». The lady goes, «IT’S NUTS!» I can see having to work on making the arrangements in advance and maybe that’s why so many people are getting dead flowers on the «day». Maybe the ref isn’t cold enough?
They also had bunches of gardenias, not fully opened for $ 12 a bunch. ouch. They had huge peonies in a bucket that I was afraid to ask about.
My co worker had ordered a $ 60 arrangement to surprise his wife with. It was one of those artistic one flower designs with a long sprig of green coconut leaf midrib or something and an anthurium. He told me that he noticed ants coming out of it. He wasn’t sure if it was from the flowers, the vase it was in, or the oasis. One, two, and soon a thousand little ants were marching around his countertop. They had to put the whole arrangement outside because of the ant infestation. What a waste!
The few and only times I go in there is for last minute things. Other than that, I go to Watanabe or the NEX for the best flowers.

I guess I’m not the only one that had a bad experience with this florist. I wish I read the Unilocal reviews first before I ordered from them. I placed an order for Mother’s Day online. I received an e-​mail confirmation and thought that everything is set. I excitedly called my Mom on Mother’s Day and asked her how she liked the flowers, her response was, «What flowers?». Okay… I guess the florist was swamped Friday with all the Mother’s day orders, so maybe they will deliver on Monday. I called them up today to ensure that they can deliver the flowers today but the lady that I spoke to said that they were unable to fulfill my order Friday and from then, my order’s been voided. What the eff? Why would you void my order? And if you are unable to fulfill my order, why would you not call me? The person that I was talking to was not very helpful either. I was so frustrated and all she can tell me is «Sorry. We can reprocess your order today but we still have to charge you for the full price.» When I asked her why they didn’t call me when they are unable to fulfill my order, she even told me that I should’ve called them. At that point, I was so mad that I hanged up before I say anything mean. Ugh. They definitely have one of the worst customer service ever.

Never again. I spent 15 minutes taking off the outer edges of most of the flowers before I would even give it to my dear, daughter’s teacher for Mother’s Day. The flowers were dry and the tips were turning brown. Even after I pruned them myself I thought about apologizing to the recipient but then I didn’t want to call attention to it. I wonder if it will be all brown in a couple of days. I really should have rejected the order but the little, old ladies were really nice. I didn’t notice the poor quality of the flowers until I got it in good lighting right before I was going to give it away. I will never, ever shop at this store again. Also, the arrangement was sparse compared to the Teleflora photo on their website.

This would be a no! Who thought same day flower delivery could be THREE days in the making? I tried to buy a beautiful arrangement for someone who was recovering from a surgery, I placed my order for a deluxe arrangement well before the 3pm cut off, received confirmation that it would arrive by the end of the day, and went about my work day. Next morning I see an email at 6:50 AM (THE NEXT DAY???) asking me to call regarding my order that they were unable to deliver it, but they would give ma a 35% discount and deliver that day, ok great… NOT! Next Day a voice mail informing me they were so sorry they ran out of the flower used to make the arrangement, since I had placed my order more than 24 hours before how on earth would they not make the arrangement??? SO I canceled the order all together. So frustrating, so not worth the time or annoyance, and I’m pretty sure the arrangement would have been crap anyway considering all the factors leading up to this, either way I will never know!

One of the worst experiences I’ve had. They had a good website and I ordered my Mother’s Day flowers through them because they are a featured teleflora florist. When I got there, they seemed confused and had a hard time finding my order. When they finally found it, not only did it look nothing like what I ordered, all the white flowers in the arrangement were yellow as if they had made it days ago! When I mentioned it to them, she reluctantly went in the back to change out some of the flowers. Instead of apologizing, all they could say was, «you’ll have to wait 10 minutes». The replacement wasn’t much better. It was ugly! It looked nothing like my original order! And worst of all, they included flowers that were completely closed, not even close to blooming yet! Ontop of all of that, they didn’t even have a box for me to transport it in. They gave me some generic plastic bag, like that’s gonna do anything. I will never go back to them again.

Beautiful bouquets and wedding arrangements! Truly made my Nana’s memorial at sea spectacular!
