Inspecs originally started as a Japanese owned business, however in 2012 Dr. VanLangeveld purchased Inspecs and it now has five locations around the island of Oahu.

I’ve purchased a pair of glasses from Inspecs previously and decided to go back after my last pair broke. I had just been told by the doctor that I want allowed to use my contacts for the next few weeks and I would need a new pair of glasses asap, especially since I need them to drive. I went in and they had my prescription lenses in Stock and we’re able to set me up with a new pair in an hour (for a $ 10 expedite fee.) They workers were very friendly and helped me to pick out my frame based on my old pair. I was surprised to find that I was still in their system when I was making my payment (Kaiser insurance can’t be used here due to complications but with the prices, it’s not a hard pill to swallow.) Thanks for the quick turnaround, it is greatly appreciated!

I can’t praise Dr. Michael VanLangeveld enough. My nervous seven year old was hesitant to be examined for the first time however, he was quickly put to ease and thoroughly enjoyed his exam. I brought him in for a red irritated eye and we both received excellent feedback and care! Huge selection of glasses and although little guy didn’t need a prescription — he definitely thought he NEEDED a pair of Oakley Jr. Sunglasses he fell in love with! Happy kids equal happy parents, thank you Dr Mike!

Great place! I needed to get before my insurance ran out and they were able to see me that week. The office staff was very pleasant and helpful. The assistant who did my pre-​exam was still in the training process, but was great. Dr. VanLangeveld did my eye exam and fitted me into a new pair of contacts, which fit great! Prices were good and my order of 1 year supply of contacts came in 2 days! Would recommend InSpecs!
