It is sad that this truck is no longer operating in the Ala Moana area. ~Sorry

Simple menu yet by far the best Thai food I have tasted outside of Thailand and the San Francisco Yeah Area! I am a person with a palate that is hard to please and dayuum!!! This roach coach rocks!!! For the reviewer who rated this place a 1 star. First of all your co-worker jipped you 4 – 5 $‘s. The food items on the menu only cost $ 7.00 ~ $ 8.00 if you request for shrimps and the best deal = any form of liquids(i.e., water, soda, aloha juice and coconut water) IS included with the meal price!!! Secondly, from your description… it sounds and«taste» like your co-worker got the plate lunches inside the Ala Moana food court. Don’t Hate Appreciate and give this place the benefit of the doubt and give it a try personally and if your 2nd review is like your first more power to you — everyone deserves their opinions.

For such a sketchy looking truck, they seem to turn out some pretty tasty meals. The line occassionally gets longer than I’d like to wait, especially since there’s no shade and it’s hotter than a… outside. Everything is reasonably priced and they’re very generous with the portions. A majority of the orders are $ 7.00. I really like their curries and I always get a Thai Iced tea. The summer rolls are okay but I’d probably skip it. You can find them on the corner of Kapiolani right behind Ala Moana. The workers are really friendly too.

By far the best Thai food I have eaten outside of Thailand! Truly authentic! I asked for the food to be done hot, and they didn’t pull any punches! Really nice folks inside the truck make everything from scratch, so it takes 10 – 15 minutes to get your order. However, it is totally worth the wait. We ordered the green curry, panang curry, larb, Pad Thai, and green papaya salad, all were first rate, wonderfully fresh and spiced. The food is not the typical watered-down for the US palate, overly sweet mall food you find at pretty much every other Thai restaurant on the Island; I can only hope they stay true to their roots and continue to serve the real deal! This awesome food truck goes by both Keo’s and Kaew’s, and I see Unilocal reviews under both names.

$ 7.00 for a pad seiew, the order was pretty big/heavy. The people working inside are really nice too. the pad seiew was very lemony and since I have no idea what pad seiew is suppose to taste like, I think it tastes great. I got it with chicken but it probably could of used more chicken. Not much of a wait and I came here around 12:30. There’s also seating right out front if you need it.

This truck did not go through the same«Pimp my Ride» treatment like most of the others you see on the food truck scene(a’la OnotoGo, the Fried Musubi truck, Shogunai, etc.) I don’t think any signage besides their menu even adorns the truck, not even their name! The menu is short and simple as well. I was on a mission to rate their pad Thai amongst the slew of others, excited at the prospect of a cheap and fast alternative to the other restaurant establishments. I’m happy to report Kaew’s passed my pad thai standards with flying colors! –non– tomato flavor — consistency was great… Noodles were not too saucy and on the drier side Hefty portion and just $ 7! Quick service, the truck is easily accessible with plenty of parking in the lot. Once I got home to enjoy my takeout in comfort, I found the only additions needed to make this a truly perfect pad thai was a bit of siracha(I wished for crushed peanuts too). Sure they’re not as pretty as their other mobile cousins but it’s the food that really matters! #39/365 the one I wrote and forgot to post last night, I promise!

Kaew’s Thai Kitchen, located in the parking lot on Kapiolani next to SushiSan and King’s Pizza, makes for an awesome, quick Thai fast-food experience. Most plates are $ 7 – 8 and can fill you up pretty well. The main Thai items make their appearance on the menu: pad thai, spring rolls, rad na, red/yellow/green curry, tom yum, etc. I’m personally a fan of chicken pad thai(I know, adventurous :/), but the times that I’ve had it, I’ve really enjoyed it. The noodles are on the dryer side(think Bangkok Chef) rather than the saucy side(think Phuket Thai), but that’s my preference. Delicious stuff! So, what’s the draw? Well, it’s convenient and cheap if you work in the area, for sure. The plus, though? Unlike most lunchwagons … they’re open for dinner! Picked up a quick pad thai order last night around 6:30pm — no line, short wait for food and done! Positives: cheap; good; convenient(if you work nearby, or can easily get into the parking lot) Drawbacks: parking *can* be a pain if you’re on the wrong side of Kapiolani; can take a while if there’s more than a couple people putting orders in — welcome to lunchwagon living; CASHONLY I enjoyed it. I work right in the area, so I’m totally a fan. Thanks again to Lori I. for the heads-up on Kaew’s — it’s gonna be the object of my new pad thai obsession!

In the parking lot at the corner of Konaiki and Kapiolani Blvd I’ve noticed a bunch of lunch trucks attempting to lure me away from OnoToGo. This one: did a good job and I would come back if OnoToGo runs out of food again. LOCATION: On Kapiolani Blvd in the parking lot on the Ewa side of SushiSan… right across from, well, the only landmark I could see was Suzie’s Secrets… the adult superstore for lovers. I have no idea what their hours are because they didn’t speak a word of English to me. They cook everything to order, so it will take a while to get your food, but it is well worth the wait. MENU: SUMMERROLLS $ 5: made fresh right in front of my eyes, everything was perfect. And they didn’t put any beansprouts in it, which made me even happier! GREENCURRY: $ 7 and included rice! This was very good as well. Bamboo shoots and eggplant didn’t overpower the chicken, and there was enough curry to pour on the rice. Definitely restaurant quality. If you’re in a hurry, this might not be a good idea, but if you have about 15 – 20 minutes to wait for your food and don’t want to go into a restaurant, come check this place out. They even have a few chairs and tables for you to eat right there too!
