The other half and I came here so he could look at gun stuff(the wife has the snack shop and the husband has a little gun/ammo shop next wall). Parking sucks. All residential with a small driveway for the shop(1 car-type small) that some turd was illegally blocking. While I was waiting, I ordered the thai bubble tea and a canned drink for my bf. It was cheap: total was $ 3.xx The bubbles are not tapioca, but the popping ones I don’t like so I omitted that. The tea itself was really watery and had this bitter, chalky aftertaste. Like the tea wasn’t brewed right or the milk was some powdered type. I feel kinda bad giving this place 2 stars because the people are friendly, but once I drank half of it, my stomach started to talk to me. I drank it all anyway because hey, I’m half chinese and can’t see wasting! Bad idea. I needed a restroom. :( I think they’re known for shave ice. There’s also a cold case filled with bottled/canned drinks, some packaged cookies and household supplies like mayo, honey and packaged pasta sauce.

Really yummy! I think they saw the reviews about needing more syrup. They gave us plenty without asking for extra. My husband, from Kauai, said it tasted like what real Hawaiian shave ice should taste like. We will go back for sure. I would have liked a smile from the lady behind the counter, but, overall, great experience. We will definitely go back.

This place is super close to the house. When you drive by this place looks like a tiny little run down shop. But we decided to give it a shot since we were craving some shave ice but didn’t want to drive anywhere. As soon as we walked in we got slapped in the face with amazing fresh baked goods. I mean I smelled absolutely delicious. A nice lady greeted us and took our order for a large shave ice with ice cream and snowcap with pog, Kailua cream, and piña colada. It cost $ 3.75 which is a good fair price. I wish she had put more syrup on because by the time we walked home we had already hit dry spots of just shaved ice hence the 3 star rating. I really want to go back and try out some of their baked goods and I know next time to ask for extra syrup. Ill be back for sure.

This place is close to my family’s house so we thought we’d walk down. Small place but it smells delicious, like they bake their own stuff here. Came for the shave ice. Decent price and the usual flavors. We ordered pog, Kailua cream and piña colada with ice cream and condensed milk. Ice consistency is super important to me and it was ok, not enough syrup though cause it got dried out pretty fast.

This place is super cute! My boyfriend lives walking distance from here, so we like to make time to walk down and enjoy some delicious shave ice and cookies.(If I remember correctly,) The syrups are homemade, and the store is the front of the family’s house. They have great flavors and a little table outside to enjoy your snacks at. The lady that owns it is so sweet; sometimes she offers my boyfriend and I free cookies to go along with our shave ice! They also have interesting retro toys/knick knacks inside the store too. Can’t beat mom and pop places like this!

reminds you of that little corner store when were were small kids to buy candy snacks and eat shave ice. She also make great syphon coffee(when they are not busy). But I have to say the bake goods are to die for… they make fresh cookies and cakes daily! Also does gift baskets and cakes/cookies for parties and special events. So if your in the Pauoa area and looking to stop for shave ice for some yummy cookies… this is the place to stop! street parking only
