Kicks Hawaii

This place is a must for any sneakerhead who’s in the area. The staff is very friendly and willing to help out if you’re looking for something in particular. While they usually carry an impressive collection of shoes, they also carry a lot of rare clothing brands. Keep in mind that Kicks HI doesn’t retail any Adidas merchandise, so if you’re looking for any NMDs or Yeezy releases, try your luck elsewhere.

This place seriously need to improve their customer service or fire whole staff and replace them with people who actually care about business and customers. I wouldn’t even bother to talk about lack of collection. I went this store twice by myself and the employees were just too busy talking to each other. No «hi» no «do you need different size». I was thinking seriously if they were shy or something lol. I went there to buy some air max 1 or 90 but ended up getting a pair from online with a better deal.
Kicks Hi got real nice interior but that’s pretty much all about this place.
I would recommend Truest (king street) since they got more collections. Oh and they are more friendly I think haha.

its about time to finally review kicks hawaii. ive been coming to this store ever since they first opened in 2005? 2006? just about everyrtime i visit oahu i stop by here. theyve always been cool. i dont always buy things since im a size13. so many times i already know they probably wont have anything in my size. i was just there about a week and a half ago. picked up some slippers and talked with the guys working there. all the recent reviews talk about them being rude which i didnt get from them. anyways a worthwhile stop. if the guys are reading this please do another sig zane new era collabo pls and more die cut stickers!

Apparently they like to back door popular new releases while the masses wait in line out in the hot Hawaiian sun. I think this is standard for a lot of shops these days. Their apparel is decent though

I’ve been going to Kick Hi for a while now, probably a good 4 – 5 years. This place always seems to have dope finds, as i found QS AF1 usa olympic gold medals for half off ($ 100) here which was dope. Their collars seem to be A:1, and they carry a lot of selected shoes common retailers like champs and foot locker don’t have. I would rate this place alot higher, especially since it’s local shoe chain, but it only lacks one thing (which is probably the most important thing) CUSTOMER SERVICE. it suck ass here. I remember when i first went in here back in 2011−2012ish and it seemed like the employees were almost offended by me coming in. They would look up in disgust when you walk in and look back down. Straight up disrespectful, this is NOT how you treat customers. I notice within the last year there has been a new management, who are barely any better than the last. The only thing they seem to do better is greet you went you come and leave, but other than that, they’re not very helpful towards the customers. Dope items, i like what they stand for, but management sucks majaa azz.

Poor customer service here. Not worth giving them a penny! You can also find the same shoes online for a lot less. I come from the mainland so seen a lot better selection overall than in this small store.

Absolutely rude!
We went in today to buy a size 12 pair of shoes, ANY kind we didn’t even have a price limit! We were in a hurry and that was our last gift we had to buy.

Instead they refused to even let us buy a pair of shoes.
A simple, fast transaction could have been made, instead insulted, rude, and a waste of our time.
I will never shop here ever.

First time visiting Kicks today and I would definitely come back. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the staff offered to help us several times. Pretty good selection of shoes, apparel, and accessories. They carry most flagship streetwear/​sneaker brands (Undefeated, Stussy, HUF, etc.) as well as a few lesser known ones, which were also very cool. Ended up walking out with a pair Vans, stickers, and a pin. Overall, a good experience.

Went to their latest drop hoping to grab one of there new tees as I entered the shop their was a group of people talking story one of them said hi and walked away back to the group to talk story ignoring me the rest of the time I was there talk about awesome, customer service made me feel so uncomfortable I left without getting the tee I wanted. probably will never go to this shop again.

People are seriously accurate about the lack of customer service now a days… no acknowledgement, not even a word was said. the guy literally looked at me and looked away, as if I wasn’t worth the time! Before this shop used to be tucked away and service was great. even when they had a shop at Ward. Now it seems they are run by a different management or something. sad to see them change the way they did… I’ll never shop here again… gotta get my exclusive «kicks» online instead! Shame

Would definitely come again next time I’m in Hawaii! Eddie and the rest of staff are dope.
Sneakers (nice selection of Dunks, NB, Reebok, Asics, Nike, KD, Kobe) all at retail or better. Collabs too.
Will be calling in and checking inventory ahead of time too.

One of my favorite men’s boutique shops on Oahu that has all the top brands. Gotta call or get there early if u are getting a limited item. Good luck!

Stopped by to pick up a quick kicks HI tee. Nice selection of tees among other brands. Big selection of Publish joggers and 5 panels. Nice selection of kicks that are affordable as well as accessories.
The folks there were helpful and always asked if they can get me something from the back.
I’ll always stop by to pick up a new Kicks HI tee before I head back to Cali.

Kicks Hawaii isn’t what it use to be since the last time I visited back in 2007.
1. Lacking customer service. Really? No greet when you walk through the doors because you’re too busy chatting up with the homies that are chillin there while you work?
2. Lackin selection and sizes. I literally asked for a sz L for 4 difference shirts and all 4 times didn’t have my size.
After dealing with the non-​existent customer service and not even having my size in t-​shirts. I just bounced and didn’t even bother looking at the shoes.

Used to think this place was 3 – 4 stars but just recently they dropped down to 1 star so I had to write a review. Today KICKS/​HI was going to drop the Limited Nike Lunars, only 16 were to be in the store. KICKS/​HI CLAIMS to have a 1 shoe purchase (of the same style) per person policy especially on limited shoes like this, knowing that people camp out overnight for these shoes. However, come to find out they sold ⁸⁄₁₆ of these shoes to ONE buyer late last night past the stores closing time. This store does not follow their own policies, they do not care about the general public and their loyal customers. I will no longer buy anything for my loved ones from this store every again and I suggest any of you who believe in fairness not to either.

Been to this place a million times ever since I was in intermediate. They have a wide selection of nike sb dunks, air maxes, and more, but not a whole lot of Jordan’s (which is a good thing). It’s hard to leave empty handed whenever I come here. But they don’t got much g. s sizes for the ladies. Always keep a look out for their sales because they definitely don’t play with those.

I stopped buying streetwear a long time ago but I still have random urges to enter «hypebeast stores» so I stopped by Kicks Hi since I was in the area grabbing a meal at Gomaichi Ramen. The last time I was here was 10+ years ago.
Anyway, the shop was set up nice/​organized just like any other boutique shop. There were a lot of nice designs and things I would be interested in buying if I were 18 years old.
I was going out that night so I actually ended up buying a nice Levi’s short sleeve button up. I forgot that some boutiques actually sell some versatile garments that can be used at nice occasions and not just at Sneaker Pimps (google it).
I guess if you want a trendy brand-​name tank top to wear in Hawaii (and not one from Aloha Stadium), this would be the place to get one.

Been there 3x alone and have been ignored all 3x. They all look up to see who comes in and then just to back to what they’re doing. Assholes. No «hi», no «may I help you» no nothing. I found a pair I wanted to ask the size for, but was just so turned off I didn’t even bother.
Went back with the sneaker head BF and NOW they all pay attention. He found some Js he was looking at at Truest (on Mccully) which was actually a little cheaper but NAAHHH not gonna give Kickshi business. We went back to Truest. Plus, their selection was so much better.
Just because I’m a heel wearing girl doesn’t mean I’m not looking to buy. Acting all high makamaka– get off your high horse and freaken help your customers.

Whenever I need a new pair of shoes but I don’t want to get the same pair as everyone else on the island I come to kicks.
They have a great selection and a great staff.
HUGE that they keep on top of their online updates so I don’t have to drive down there just to find out what’s in the store!
I have a pretty common shoe size so I wish that they would stock more in the popular sizes but that’s not that big of a deal.

My bf is big on shoes, so we normally take a short walk to Kicks when we shop at Ala Moana. The guys arent very aggressive with their selling (which is nice in such a small store), but they’re always friendly and willing to help if we have questions.
They have a good selections of those ‘specialty’ shoes like Supremes, Dunks, Eric Kostons, yada yada yada… They are pretty limited on sizes though, so I normally call before I make the trip to town (if I’m looking for a certain shoe).
I cant really Unilocal anything else about here… They do sell clothing and stuff as well… but I’m not really certain on the breands: o/​sorry Unilocalers, I wish I knew more!

My boy friend came to this store to pick up a pair of shoes that dropped which he confirmed on their website. He waited outside for it to open and once they do the guy working says they’re not releasing until a couple more days. My boy friend goes home and calls the store and they say they do have them and they did release that day and come to know it was the same guy who he asked when he was at the store when it opened.
Their employees will not sell to every customer. Which is quite disappointing. I don’t see why this store is so recommended. Their customer service is horrible. They don’t help you or interact with you when you’re there. They basically don’t do shit. Which is selfish of them. I really suggest getting your gear some place else.
