I came to Kiki’s about 5 years ago with friends who were regulars and I remember it wasn’t anything special except the fact that they had about 3 pool tables, which many bars here in Honolulu lack so that was always a reason for me to come. Now that they have remodeled their bar, they did away with the pool tables and added 4 darts stations instead :(… Although the place looks cleaner and the bar is a little more modernized with blue neon lighting with multple flat screen TV’s, the service was lacking. The 2 bartenders were unattentive, messed up our tabs, and kept replaying the same youtube playlist of 5 pop songs over and over and over. I kept ordering from the same girl whom I opened my tab with thinking that would be easier for her, but somehow I ended up having an additional 6 shots and 2 other cocktails on my tab even though I only ordered 3 heiny’s. I advised her nicely that those weren’t my drinks and instead of just apologizing and correcting it, she had to say«but you said you were adding their drinks to their tab»… Granted the only 7 people in the bar were all of my friends but that is not what I said and was not expecting a defensive answer. Anyways, I probably wouldn’t suggest this place to drink among my friends but I guess if other’s insisted, I would tag along because the location is convenient and drinks were not overpriced. Parking is limited here since they share stalls with all of the neighboring bars and restaurants. Also, their bathroom is located on the second floor where they serve breakfast in the morning so it’s a little inconvenient to have to keep going once you pop your shishi lid!

Something about Kangaroo legs brought me into this place and I do not regret it. Lovely bar tenders, good drinks, and the drinks got better with mistakes! Dart boards, karaōke right at the bar, and good layout. I’ll be back

I was here for a retirement party the other night. Kiki’s has two levels. The bottom level is the After Hours and the top level is Level Up. We had the top level for the party. You walk into the bar and the stairs is to your left. This place is a nice size with lots of sitting room. I saw dart boards on the bottom level and a pool table on the top level. They have TV’s throughout the place. It’s very clean and is a good place to hang out with friends. The food here is delicious. For the party, they ordered trays of food from this place. They ordered dynamite chicken, pork chops, kalbi, and fried noodles. Everything was just so good. The dynamite chicken stood out the most. It was juicy on the inside. The outside was really crispy with their house sauce that they put on it. It gave it just enough kick without being overly spicy. They went a little heavy handed on the salt on the salt and pepper pork chops. I still enjoyed it. It was tender and crispy. The kalbi was marinated in a ginger teriyaki sauce and grilled to perfection.

Enjoyed my time at Kiki’s After Hours. Bar staff was really friendly and checked on me often to see if I needed anything. I was pleased that no one was singing karaōke as I just wanted a quiet drink after a long day out on the beach. Prices(especially for the area) are very reasonable and there was lots of open seating when I came in. If you’re visiting from out of town, this spot has that great neighborhood bar feel.

We are regulars here, and love coming to visit Lynn! She always remembers our drink orders and welcomes us with big hug and kiss on the cheek. She’s so good that she knows exactly when we’ve had a rough day. Quite frankly there are many bars around the area to go to for pau hana, but this is always our first choice. The owner is always nice and never fails to give us popcorn or chips. I hear they may be closing at the end of the year, but I hope they’ve reconsidered, because we wouldn’t know where to go to drown out our stress. Thank you Kikis!

The renovations they have recently done on the downstairs makes the bar look inviting and more modern. They have dart boards and pool tables. The karaōke is only $ 1 a song and we were being well taken care of by a knowledgable bartender. We tried the oyster special which was fresh and delicious! The owner was shooting a commercial and we got to participate and received a comp drink in exchange. Super excited to go back to this fun bar!

My boyfriend and I came here about a month ago and let me tell ya, bad vibes. It was a Saturday night and probably around 1am. I had a for this place which the bartenders had no idea how to redeem, but honored it anyway. We wanted to get food here but when we asked the bartenders(who were very nice, I’ll give them that) if we could order food the one girl responded«I think the kitchens closed, soorrryyyyy.» So I thought well is it or isn’t it?! About a few minutes later the people sitting on both sides of us were handed their food, which made us feel :/well, like crap. It seemed like only locals go here and though we have lived in Honolulu for a few months, it did not seem welcoming. For example, the bar was closing up which was obvious and my boyfriend was using the bathroom so I was finishing my beer and getting ready to stand up but before I could finish my beer the manager/owner(whoever she was) took my beer and put it behind the bar for one of the bartenders to clean up! Um rude much?! She could have at least asked if I was finished or anything to that matter. Some people should not be in customer service or hospitality. What a sour faced woman. I would not come back here nor recommend it to anyone.

Pretty decent place. We went here on a Saturday night & it was dead. One pool table & one dart board. The prices were a little high but awesome food when you’re drinking. Awesome garlic fries, Tator tot nachos & the dynamite chicken. But we had a waiter that didn’t speak English and didn’t know what ranch dipping sauce was… Id come back.

Usually stop in to Kiki’s when we’re in Honolulu. Usually me and my brother, we’re the two old guys hanging out having a few beers haha. But what i like about this place is it’s a cool place to just kick back and start the night with some beers. Mostly younger folks but it’s a comfortable place and usually have some beer on special for the night. They have all kinds of food too and it’s all pretty damn good. Haven’t been since the renovation but will be sure to check it out the next time we’re in town.

The bottom floor is totally renovated with plans of redoing the upstairs as well(the bathrooms are redone — super nice). This place had a lot of regulars, me being one of them. I have to admit, I miss the old vibe of the place but can appreciate the new look. Another Unilocaler described it as Tsunami-ish and I would agree. I hope some of the other regulars give it a chance. The bar is expanded and there’s lots of seats available. There’s three community tables so if you have a party that’s the place to be. Lots of TVs around. Gone are the dart machines but the pool table is still there. They’re Korean-owned and have a few Korean dishes on the menu, one of them being mandoo. It’s good! Lots of filling and has a little bit of kick to it. I think there’s a Korean seafood pancake too(don’t remember the name). The tater tot nachos are still on but gone is the ahi belly. Their whole fried chicken looked good. We didn’t order it but someone sitting next to us did and they loved it. They also have soju pitchers for $ 9, normally $ 18! Different flavors — yogurt, lemon, strawberry, mango and lychee. All the drinks look like are made with Calpico. All Smirnoff mixed drinks are $ 4 and shots are $ 3. Would I come back? Definitely.

Been there a couple years ago with some friends. The service was good back then. Went there recently, three fridays in a row(don’t know why). I guess its because the beer garden was packed at shirokiya so a friend and i opted to go to KiKi’s instead. The service is kinda good(when they feel like giving good service). One time I ordered a BLT and the sandwich came back with the bread not toasted. now who da fuck makes a bacon lettuce tomato without toasting the bread? Then there was this one time me and my friend was there sitting at the bar and I guess it was the owner and one of the bar tenders were trying to fix/clean something behind the bar where right in front where my friend and i were sitting. So we’re drinking our beers and the staff is there right in front of us making like we’re not there as we are trying to enjoy our beers using a loud ass vacuum trying to clean something out. I couldn’t believe that shit. The thing i noticed when I went there was that it was not that busy. It could be that we were there early or it could be that the service sucks ass. Try visit this place and you be the judge.

Wait… what?! I’ve never written a review for Kiki’s After Hours? How can that be? Kiki’s has a lo-o-ong history with my fam. We have celebrated countless events at this comfortable watering hole for nearly a decade. Birthdays, engagements, weddings, retirements, promotions, pau hanas, and many«just becauses». I’m even counting on another successful fund-raiser this July 20. Venue: There are two levels to choose from. Lower level is made up of tables, a nice large bar and a game room with a pool table and dart machine. Several coin game machines dot the bar. There are more dart machines, lounge furniture, tall boy and rectangle tables and the kitchen upstairs. Music and big screen TVs throughout both levels. Staff: LOVE the Kiki’s team. Owner Karen Oshiro knows how to keep her team happy. Her staff stays on for years and they are super pleasant. Like«Cheers» this is a team who will remember your name — and your order. I give then additional points for keeping their cheerful moods even when they have to run up and down between the kitchen and lower level. Food: Kiki’s is back with their game in the kitchen! The food was successfully handled by Brandy’s for years. When the restaurant folded in 2012 Kiki’s went through several restaurateurs who just couldn’t get the right mix or taste for the bar food Kiki’s clients sought. Owner Karen has taken control of the kitchen and all those old favorites are back tasting like a blast from the past and your grandma’s kitchen. Their katsu, fried rice and chops are yum again. Soy beans salty and al dente. Tip: Order a coronary-attack grilled Spam, egg and cheese sammy. It’s not on the menu but they’ll make you one. Caution: wash off your toe jams off before you visit Kiki’s because it is a sock-knocker-offer! Drinks: Good selection of popular hards and beer. They have daily specials ranging from tap brewskis to Crowns and more. The girls behind the bar know a lot of drink recipes and are not shy to look up a new mix if they don’t. Location: Half a block from Shokudo and Ala Mos this is a great centrally located watering hole. This is a place to check out if you’re looking for an alternate watering hole. Just be sure to leave a space for hubby and me at the bar *w*.

This is a locally owned, diamond in the rough! I say diamond in the rough because its hard to find, the sign is not on the main road. Take a right after Korea house when on Kapiolani. you can’t see inside the bar/pub through the doors so you aren’t sure if you’re even going in the correct place. But you open the doors and it has a U shaped bar, with a few booths and tv’s. stairs to the 2nd floor is to the right. It can be a private reserved room, which is what we did because my cousin just won a hoku award! The only thing that isn’t private is the women’s bathroom, the only one is on the second floor. Service here is amazing! They are so nice and explain everything without asking! Kim & Erin are wonderful! First I will say that we are upstairs for a private party but the room is free to rent/reserve and they cater in house at a great price! Upstairs is perfect for a comfortable relaxed environment! 4 dart boards, a corner of couches/loungers, 4 long tables with about 8 – 12 chairs each and 2 tall bar tables with 6 barstools total. $ 20 minimum on cards or else use cash. I’m the driver so cash it is! :) Parking there are about ten stalls in front of the building but there is a parking lot on the other side of the building that I believe that Kiki’s will pay it for you!

I came here for a Christmas party for my boyfriend and his classmates. They reserved the upstairs. Anyone can reserve it, it’s great for get togethers and hanging out. I’ve been here before when they had different cooks. One good thing about this place is that no matter who’s cooking, it’s always great. And i’m not saying that just because my friends are the cooks. This place just has a happy relaxed vibe to it. I honestly can’t tell you what is good, because everything we ate was good. They have karaōke, dart boards, and lots of room for the kids to run around if you want to bring them. They also have lounge chairs in the corner. It has such a home-ie feeling. It was like going over to friends house and relaxing. Great place for the family, even for couples, or firends, if you want to stay downstairs and have drinks and pupus.

It never fails that if we’re having a Sunday Funday Brunch Boozers it will be an all day event of alcoholic beverages. Kiki’s just happens to be one of the spots we end up at. Why? Because they have free karaōke on Sundays ALLNIGHT. Yes, I said it. FREE Karaōke all night on Sundays, starting at 5. Don’t be shy. The entire bar will hear you, but I’ve never heard boos no matter how horrible I sing(or it’s because I’m too drunk to notice). We don’t come here for food, but the drinks here are decently priced. Not a singer, no problem, they also have darts and a pool table. Parking is limited, so be prepared with a few extra coins if you end up parking at the meters on Kona street. I’ve always had a good time at Kiki’s… from what I can remember.

I like to come to Kiki’s before I go to events like a concert or something happening close by. I really like their fried chicken and fries to pick on, while having a nice cold beer. Other bar food very good. Great place to karaōke and kick back with friends and have few. Good prices on there drinks. Relaxing atmosphere Parking limited. Very close to Ala Moana Hotel and Shopping Center.

My group Meet in Honolulu goes to check out a new happy hour location every month so this past Oct we decided to try Kiki’s Afterhours bar. The place is a no frills pau hana bar with decent food. Parking: Kiki’s has a few stalls right in front of the entrance. They also have 3 stalls in the back of the bar(on the other side of the building). They also have free street parking on Kapiolani at night, but its probably just easiest to park at Ala Moana Center and walk over. Atmosphere: Kiki’s has a weird feel to it. For sure it’s a «local» bar but it has kind of a Japanese restaurant feel to it. Downstairs its pretty much straight up sports bar but upstairs its more of a restaurant(if its open). They have pool tables, dart boards and the usuals you will find at a sports bar. Also expect the tacky beer marketing posters and promos on the wall. Service: Since we came in on a Tuesday at 5:30 it wasn’t that packed at all. Maybe like 4 other people in the place. It was mainly the bartender and one other waitress. Service was quick and the food and drinks didn’t take to long to come out at all. The waitress also had no problems with separating the checks. All thumbs up. Price: One of the reasons why I like places like this are because of the cheaper drink prices. On the night we went we could get 3 $ Miller & Budlight along with $ 3.50 Jose curevo. It’s usually 1 $ off most drinks for happy hour between 4−7pm. They also had I think 2 $ jello shots which weren’t bad(I think it came with whipped cream on it). Food wise the prices are pretty similar to most«local bar» rates. 8 – 13 $ for most food which isn’t a great value but to be expected for a bar. Food: On this night we choose the fried rice and Dynamite chicken. The fried rice was filled with pork and green onions but overall kind of boring. The Dynamite chicken was battered chicken(think fried fish batter) topped with a creamy sauce along with some sort of sriracha spicy sauce. The chicken was pretty tasty with the sauces adding a lot to it. I wouldn’t say anything else on the menu amazed me to want to try it. Overall: Kiki’s is the kind of place that people go for no frills drinking and after work pau hana. The food isn’t amazing but adequate and the drink prices are still cheap enough to pregame before hitting up a more expensive place.

First time at Kiki’s the other night! Came with some of the bar’s regulars and had a great time! Our waitress was Cory and she was super friendly and made us feel at home… For a fairly small bar, the wall behind the bar was completely filled with tons of different liquors! Drinks were very affordable with the drink special menu ranging from $ 3-$ 5 for beers, mixed drinks. As far as food goes, I ordered the spicy(deep fried) chicken and Courtney O ordered the cold tofu. Both were yummy! The spicy chicken was deep fried just right with some green onions and smothered with a delicious sauce. The cold tofu was plain(and healthy) with some green onion garnishes and cold ginger slices on the side. Parking may be a bit limited and the bar is hidden from the main street on Kapiolani Blvd, but perhaps that is to warn off the uncool people! ;) During my time there, some Heineken rep girls came by and offered the whole table a free bottle of Heineken Light each! It was the promo for the night, but still pretty cool!

A couple weeks ago, a friend of mine had ordered fried rice from Kiki’s to go. Luckily I caught him before he left because he let me sneak several spoonfuls. And wow, I was delightfully surprised! It was very tasty :) The timing was perfect! hah. Kiki’s is totally great for meeting up with friends. Every time I go, I see familiar faces! :) And Kiki’s has sake! :)
