Unpretentious, no frills, coffee. Mostly caters to tourists and those that can patiently wait for the single barista to work through individual orders. If you have the time & can score parking, definitely worth it!

Nice little coffee spot that offers a pretty good menu along with their coffee. I ordered a small iced non-​fat latte that was actually pretty good. I noticed recently that my complaint about most coffee places that everyone seem to love, is that the espresso can’t compete with the amount of or type of milk they use. I initially asked for a double shot to compensate but the nice young lady behind the counter said they come with double shots. Of course I was skeptical but got a regular. It was actually pretty good. The espresso has pretty good flavor. It’s definitely no portola (I’m not a coffee snob I swear) but because I am so used and love it so, I use it as a baseline for comparison. They use Kirkland/​Costco milk and costco’s vanilla soy if you’re a soy drinker so I got a non-​fat. They don’t measure the amount of milk they use per cup, which is something I noticed that differentiates coffee places as well. That is, one can assume that a drink’s flavor will be consistent assuming all the other variables remain constant.
I enjoyed the fast friendly service and sitting outside watching Waikiki wake up and get moving. I will come back and try some food if I have time it smelled great. Incidentally, they make waffles to order and despite not really liking waffles for breakfast, they look good!
It says it’s on Kalakaua, but it’s on a little side street next to eggs ‘n’ things and lucky jeans.

Got let out of class early, so I wanted to get some homework done before work. This place seemed like the perfect spot since it’s right behind where I work.
I came in not knowing if they had wifi or not, and with chance on my side, they did, AND it was FREE. I got my usual grilled ham and cheese with pesto and a white chocolate mocha. Both are really delicious. I’d highly recommend them. They also have a whole bunch of other stuff too like muffins, croissants, and acai bowls. I’ve also had their acai bowls to go which was ok. It came in a big cup instead of a bowl which I thought was pretty cool.
They are pretty pricey, but with good reason. They use 100% hawaiian coffee, and they don’t cut corners when making your food. There’s usually one person working, but that shouldn’t be a problem since this place is hardly busy during the day unlike the other cafes down the street.
This place would be the perfect place to get some work done when you have spare time during the day in town. The ambience is very chill and relaxing. Just make sure your laptop is fully charged because they don’t have any available outlets. They do close early, and sometimes they run out of their pesto sauce. But, they are usually empty. That plus FREE wifi makes for the perfect spot to do homework, or to get a good reading session on. If you don’t have work to be done, their food is great too.
I will definitely consider coming here more often before work.

Must stop by here in Honolulu! Blended mocha drinks were so yummy and the employees were super fun & friendly too.

They make a great coconut mocha freeze. It’s a nice alternative to starbucks frappachinos.

Best coffee on Oahu, period. If you happen to come when Oliver is working, guarantee you will be getting a perfect brew of whatever coffee/​espresso drink you choose. He’s a master at what he does and pays very close attention to the little things that make Kimo Bean’s coffee super enjoyable. Waffles and acai bowls are amazing too. You will not be disappointed.

KiMOBEAN’s Mocha Wave iced latte is unnaturally good. Like *this* is where Liz Lemon wants to go. They also have some great breakfast options — I had a croissant with egg, ham and cheese that hit that sweet spot of flaky, greasy and cheesy.
Plus, it’s rather therapeutic to gaze out at the sea of people waiting for Eggs ‘N Things, and then walk in here and have food in your belly in 5 minutes!

Decided to grab a good cup of coffee to start my morning in Waikiki. I went into the coffee shop and said I’ll have a cup of Kona coffee please. The girl behind the counter says, «sorry no Kona coffee». Ok, so I order their regular coffee and it comes out scalding hot, even after adding cream I burnt my tongue and the top of my mouth. I like hot coffee, but it was wayyyy too hot. I came back a few hours later and the Marriott staff had given us a free complimentary beverage and pastry. The only problem is the complimentary beverages were very, very, very limited. As in just coffee, tea, milk or orange juice. No lattes, Americanos, smoothies, cappuccinos or matcha green tea. Why say complimentary beverage if it’s that limited??? Just list what is complimentary on the voucher and it’s a done deal. I can’t blame the staff as they are only doing what they are told.

Great option for some Hawaiian coffee in the area. The staff here is super friendly and sweet, and their product is great! I had their koko mocha (the coconut mocha) and it was fantastic. Perfect amount of sweetness, perfect temperature, enjoyed the whole thing… although it was quite expensive (about $ 5!).
We also had their breakfast sandwiches, which were amazingly good quality for such a little coffee shop kind of place! I had the breakfast wrap (egg, cheese, mango salsa, and tortilla) and it was fantastic. The egg was perfectly cooked, the tortilla was crispy in all the right ways, the cheese was melty and stringy. And it kept me full til 2 pm! Highly recommended!

Smoothies are good. Waffle looks bomb. I just wandered in here because I bought a popsicle for my child which was salted watermelon cream. WHO DECIDED THEY WANT THAT FLAVOR? Anyway, I ate it, it was gross, but my child was popsicle-​less so I moseyed in here, grabbed her a mango smoothie, and sat down outside to watch the people go by. It was a good smoothie. A righteous smoothie. A smoothie of peace. I want to go back to that place.
The staff was very polite and friendly, they had a bunch of lunch stuff but nothing without gluten, so rather than eating while my child starved, I sat in the sun and watched the Japanese tourists starve as they waited outside of some breakfast place next door.

Fresh Fruit waffles has no fresh fruit, the cashier said they ran out of strawberry, only after she had charged me for the same price as if there were fresh fruit. When I told them this false advertisement was not acceptable to me, one of the woman who looked Polynesian just brushed me off, ignored me, and continued to talk to the next customer behind me.
The fact that they are not upfront about their products, false advertising their waffles to have fresh fruit, having posters through out their store to have fresh strawberries on their waffles, WHEN THERE IS NOT ANY! is unacceptable.

Its crazy how pictures of food have such an impact on the brain… I was walking by Kimobean Coffee and saw a picture of their acai bowl and was set on getting it for the next two weeks… and finally did before work the other morning.
Kimobean’s acai bowls are a little different from what I’m usually used to. It was basically 3 scoops of acai sorbet with crunchy granola on the bottom and then some sprinkled on top with slices of bananas and honey.
The sorbet wasn’t bad, a little hard since it was frozen. Once it thawed it was a refreshing morning treat. The granola was awesome, crunchy and tasted great with the soft sorbet. Although 3 scoops may not seem like a lot, it was more than enough. I had to throw it out since it would have become a soupy mess and I hate acai soup more than anything.
For $ 7.50 ish, not a bad deal since you could probably split it between two people. I saw some people getting their waffles so that is definitely next on my list. They also serve 4 – 5 different breakfast sammies. :)

Found Kimobean near our hotel during our stay in Waikiki. We liked it so much we went for coffee and breakfast twice. There would have been a 3^rd visit had our morning activities revolved more around the Waikiki area.
I’m a sucker for latte art, especially the kind that is very cute, adorable, and cuddly to look at while sipping. So yes I definitely enjoyed the lattes (coconut mocha and regular mocha), not just for the looks, but the lattes were really good. Not too sweet, good, rich espresso flavor with the right amount of creaminess. Love.
Belgian waffles were delicious too. Breakfast sandwiches hit the spot if you are looking for something savory.
The coffee patrons at Kimobean were also very nice and welcoming. Always smiling, laughing, and very friendly. The made me feel like I was a local. I would definitely make this place my regular coffee stop if I lived in the Waikiki area!

I usually don’t like white mocha, but omg, Kimobean’s white mocha is delish! It’s like a cross between vanilla latte and white chocolate. I don’t know, it’s just different and it’s not super sweet. Their coffee is similiar to most kona coffee, a little tart, but easy to drink. I also like how they heat up your pastry like scones and muffins! It’s definitely a nice touch to have something warm for the morning. I really like their cinnamon raisin muffin – very cinnamony.
Their staffs are also super nice and quick. They keep you inform about your food, like «your pastry will be coming up shortly» and not let you wait forever.

I woke up early one morning and thought I’d surprise the hubby with some time to sleep in and some coffee with breakfast. Used the iphone to look up the nearest café/​coffee shop and found this place just across the street, yay! It is a small place with some sweet things on the menu. I definitely went with the coconut mocha and Belgian waffles with strawberries, chocolate and cream. They even were nice enough to package everything separately since I still had to walk it all back to the hotel.
Staff was sweet and I would have probably returned to try a couple of their other intriguing drinks if I hadnt only discovered them the 2^nd to last day of our trip.

I was in search of a nice place to enjoy breakfast. There’s outdoor seating perfect for a day of people watching :)
I had the ham, egg, cheese croissant and it was yummy! Just what I needed. Their cookies and cream blend is super yummy! I’ll definitely come back for a coffee fix.

We hit this place twice when in Hawaii and they have great coffee than the usual Starbucks. The first time I was there, I got their Mocha Oreo Freeze and it was very, very good. It is like a Frap, but much better.
The second time there, we just got breakfast there. We got the turkey & cheese sandwich and their waffle. Nothing special, but a great place to hit a quick breakfast and start our day.

Probably more like 4 stars, but I’m upping it for awesome service.
My family and I were on vacation in Hawaii, and my brother and sister and I came for breakfast one morning. We got banana waffles, a turkey/​egg/​cheese panini, and a grilled cheese sandwich, and split a mocha frappé.
Everything here was DELICIOUS. I loved the waffles (done just right – crispy/​fluffy goodness with fresh bananas)…the turkey/​egg/​cheese panini was SO great, grilled to perfection… and I’m typically not a huge fan of grilled cheese sandwiches, but whatever cheese they put in this was AMAZING. Also, I loved their mocha frappé so much taht I went back the next day to get another one. they blend it really well (I hate places that have icy frappes – yuck!), and the flavor is just wonderful.
also, props for amazing service. We were a little indecisive on what to get, and we had to ask them to split the big coffee in three for us – and they did everything with a smile! (I’m sorry, I don’t mean to make your life difficult!)
the only caveat? well, this applies to pretty much all of Hawaii, but it is expeeeeeeeeeeeensive!

Even though I’ve been working around the corner of this location for over a year now, it was not until recently that I found myself going in for coffee, a light snack, or a delicious treat at least two to three times a week. With Starbucks and Coffee Bean just a mere two blocks away, it was too easy to be drawn in the direction of these major chains, both of which use incentive-​based business strategies to ensure return customers. But then I had the Kimobean Waffle that I saw pictured on the outside menu. It was like love at first taste, and the rest was history.
So then began my journey towards a sugary addiction. Instead of a proper meal, I ate up those waffles for breakfast and lunch, and sometimes took the leftovers to dinner, too. I like it with seasonal fruit (because fruit somehow makes it healthier, doesn’t it? Yes, that was sarcasm), but having them add chocolate chips into the waffle mix makes for a really good custom menu-​item, too. I did this somewhere around two to three times a week, maybe? That may not sound bad, but if it doesn’t to you, you might wanna double check you average sugar intake per day. Seriously.
After a failed attempt at a low-​sugar no-​dessert diet, I started going in again, now just for coffee and the occasional designer drink. I gotta say that everything on their menu is just as good as those major chains, and it certainly feels good to know I’m supporting a locally-​based business. Locally-​based is often synonymous with more-​expensive, but whatever. I really like the staff at this location, and it’s a slow part of Waikiki that I can count on to be quiet and chill. The outdoor seating is also a plus.
If anything, I’m bothered only by their lack of food items beyond anything that involves bread. Where’s the pastry or salad? Blue Hawaii recently started serving poke bowls. Although it’s at the cost their espresso menu, it’s such a great compliment to their current drink menu. If Kimobean really wants to do stand out, they’re gonna need to do something a little more bold. For now, Kimobean just meets all my thirsty needs, and 7 Eleven (located on the other end of the block) my hunger.

I tried the grilled cheese sandwich and chai tea latte for breakfast today. It was ok. My mom got the Coco Mocha or something that sounds like that, and it was very rich in flavor.
I don’t mind coming back to try other coffees or teas~
