4 stars because you know what you are getting. You don’t expect it to be super good food. You expect average good for a good price, that’s exactly what you get. Crispy chicken was good, not amazing but decent with rice and vegetables.

My hands-down favorite location for years now! I’ve always been the recipient of the best service whether I’m dining in or grabbing a plate for the road! This is a family-run business where they remember name and how you like your plates. The food is cheap, plentiful, and delicious. My favorite would have to be their katsu curry, in which I’m pretty sure they sprinkle crack! Just add a few squirts of sriracha service and you’re good to go! Yeah they’re cash-only, but there’s an atm just outside. As long as I work on Sand Island, I’ll be a loyal customer!

Good eats at a good price. Best L&L yet, except waimanalo. Lol. But food fully cooked, served fast, good & clean seating tables. A/C!!! The Teri was cherry!

This is a disgrace to the L&L brand. I should have known better when walking in, the floor was dirty, half the light bulbs in the ceiling were burned out, the old guy at the counter barely spoke English and had a filthy apron on. I had a mini chicken katsu, one of their signature menu items to go. When I got back to my office, I ended up dumping it after eating 1⁄3 of it. The katsu sauce was stone cold, right out of the fridge and watery. The chicken was more batter than meat and so greasy it was a fire hazard. Such a stark contrast to some of the other great locations like Ward Center or Pearl City(by Walmart) where the food quality is great and the staff seems to care.

Loved the chicken katsu I had! It’s L&L. Pretty much what you’d expect foodwise. Prices are great: My regular sized katsu chicken plate was only around $ 6, and I couldn’t finish it. Cute, little, old lady runs the register. Be nice to her and she’ll be very nice to you. Interior looked a little worse for the wear, compared to some of the other locations. But the food was exactly as I expected. The prices were cheap. And I went away with a full tummy. It’s a-ok. There’s nothing about this place that would make me avoid eating here.

The lady at the register is so cute! Not sure if she’s the owner or the owners wife but she’s always smiling, laughing and so friendly. The food tastes the same as any other L&L, but this one serves brown rice! Their portions are good, not tight like most places. Their scoops of rice are huge. I barely finished one scoop. It’s rather cold in this drive-inn so bring a jacket.(: The parking is small, a strip of maybe 25−30ish stalls, but shared with other businesses like Blimpe, West Marine, Lox Of Bagels and so on. Be careful coming out of the parking lot. Its right off the access road and big trucks come flying by.

We stopped to get something quick and ended with 2 full plates of food. Prices were relatively low. Beef curry over rice was good.

L&L, brah. Local kine grinds. It’s simple, it’s quick, and it’s easy. There’s about as many L&L’s on Oahu as there are pigeons — which may in fact be the mystery meat ingredient in some of the dishes here.(For example: there’s the ‘Orange Chicken’ which tastes neither like oranges or like chicken). On the plus side, you can get an amazing breakfast for only about $ 3.25, which is an amazing deal considering the massive amount of meat, rice, and eggs you’ll get to start your day with. And, they tend to be extremely generous with the Chicken Katsu portion, giving you enough for lunch and dinner all for around 6 bucks. L&L could be a little bit cleaner on the inside, but for a local joint where you just want to satisfy your hunger pangs, L&L does the trick. Added bonus: bring along the kids and try and guess just exactly what meat is in the curry!
