History
Established in 2009.
In 1998, my toddler daughter was diagnosed with a severe form of global development dyspraxia. As a mother, I knew I had to find a treatment to help her. I sought out the latest, proven research-based methods to treat speech disorders and participated in treatment trials held by top universities.
Then I discovered Interactive Metronome (IM). IM draws new neural connections in the brain, strengthening and targeting the temporal area of the brain where executive decision making, processing and communication skills and control functions are located. Starting with simple motor tasks such as clapping hands in conjunction with sounds and colors, I tried the practice on my daughter… and the results changed our lives!
I founded Learn to Focus in 2009 and since then, my goal has been to share the success I found for my daughter with other families who face seemingly unsurmountable obstacles.

Business Owner
After graduating from Pepperdine University with a degree in Sports Medicine, I returned home to Hawaii and attended the postgraduate nutrition program at the University of Hawaii while working for the Honolulu Gerontology Program as an exercise physiologist. When her two children began experiencing learning challenges, she took a leave of absence in order to home school them and seek answers. After countless months of exhausting research, I found a proven solution that worked for my children’s unique issues.
