Waited 35 mintues after my appointment time to get seen. cant believe i am actually thinking about going back :(

Thank you Dr. Leung and your wonderful staff. My dental work was on hold for years until I met Dr. Leung. She came up with a solution no other dentist ever offered. Dr. Leung is the most gentil and caring dentist I have been to. Thank you so much for giving me my smile back.

I’ve been coming here every six months for about 5 years. Great Staff! Clean Office! Honest Dentist. My last dentist in the same building (Kevin Sugiki) was a crook. He always wanted to find some «preventive» work to do, so he could make extra money. Dr. Leung is extremely honest and super nice. I highly recommend her

My family has been seeing Dr. Leung for a few years now and we all absolutely love her! I’ve found Dr. Leung and her staff to be friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. Everyone is really down to earth and fun to talk to.
My office visits are usually quick and painless. (I’m not a huge fan of getting my teeth cleaned so that says a lot!) They also make sure to schedule regular x-​rays — once a year I think? — to make sure nothing funky is going on in my mouth. After each visit I get a fun new toothbrush and a travel sized floss and toothpaste. Not quite the same as choosing a toy from the dentist’s toy box from your hanabaddah days (who else got Chinese finger traps every time!?) but it makes me just as happy! :)
In addition to getting my teeth cleaned biannually, I have also had Invisalign treatments through Dr. Leung. (…and so has my dad!) After my teeth were molded and the trays were manufactured, I was able to pop in once every two weeks to get fitted for new trays. Under Dr. Leung’s care and supervision, I successfully completed the invisalign treatments in about a year.
Her office is so peaceful. I always feel like I’m waiting for a spa! There are comfy couches, a little waterfall, cold drinking water, and sometimes there are little snacks. I always get a reminder call a day or two before my next appointment and they’re always understanding if I need to reschedule. If you live in the Kahala/​Waialae/​Kaimuki area, I highly recommend Dr. Leung!

Bought a Living Social deal for $ 89… you get a teeth cleaning, oral exam, teeth whitening, and xrays… deal! I originally wanted to use this for myself but I decided to gift it to my Mom instead… so I got a day off of work to take her down to Kahala (we live in Central Oahu).
I called to make an appointment for her and mentioned the voucher. The receptionist I spoke with was okay. She wasn’t rude and she wasn’t super friendly… but we got the appointment and that’s what mattered. I was told that the actual dentist was away on a trip and that the dental hygenist would perform the actual cleaning, xrays, and whitening, and that we’d have to come back for the oral exam and to go over the xrays. Fair enough.
I can’t remember if I gave them my home number or my cell number, but I don’t recall receiving a reminder about the appointment, but then again if they called my home number I probably missed it because I’m always at work. In any event, I called a day prior on my own to confirm the appointment. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice.
Made the journey to Kahala and my Google directions didn’t quite lead me to the dentist office. I had a feeling I passed it so I called them to get more specific directions. The same gentleman who answered my call yesterday answered and gave me directions to the place. He was very friendly and patient and I figured out that I had waaaaay passed where I was supposed to be. Turned around back tracked and finally found the place. There was ample parking and Mom and I went inside the building and up the elevators. It’s a VERY nice building right next to Kahala Mall.
The office itself is VERY nice. Nice couches and chairs… little waterfall… cold water to drink, flat screen TV, and very «zen like»… I must say it’s WAY nicer than my dentist office in Mililani lol, but hey, we’re in Kahala people!
The gentleman at the desk (Mark) was super friendly and helpful. I filled out the stack of papers for Mom and had her sign everything and turned it back in, along with my voucher. He made small talk with me and asked where we were coming from and come to find out he’s from Wahiawa just like my boyfriend is! Anyway… after we turned in the paperwork, Mom and I chit chatted and about 5 minutes later she was called in… I hung out in the office (since it was so nice, lol!) and took care of last minute baby shower details (I was hosting a shower that weekend)… so time flew for me. After about an hour and a half I took a bathroom break and so did Mom at the same time. She said her cleaning was done, her xrays were done, and she just needed the teeth whitening. Mark had left about 15 minutes ago (he said bye, nice guy! KEEP HIM… very friendly and courteous to your clients!)… so the other girl working next to mark showed me a form Mom needed to sign about her whitening (don’t eat certain foods etc etc)… this girl was okay. She definitely wasn’t rude but she didn’t have the same level of customer service as Mark did… maybe she even came off as timid or shy… in any event, Mom went back in and another receptionist took a seat… I’m assuming from Julia S’ review this is the woman she is referring to as the «orange head»… her name is Teri. I had no issues with Teri. In fact, while I waited for Mom, she let me know that Mom would be done in another 30 minutes, which I thought was nice. I overheard her calling clients to remind them about their appointments and answering phone calls and not once did she sound rude. Maybe her tone is a little more… I don’t even know the word… but it wasn’t rude. Or pushy. Or even sassy. Just not super soft and sweet. LOL. Okay okay… so I even interrupted Teri to ask for the bathroom key and she asked if I knew where it was which was nice as well…
So once Mom finished I asked her if she liked everything and she said «yes». Now if you know my Mom, she’s definitely hard to please… but she liked her experience at this dental clinic. I wasn’t with her in the back so I can only go off of what she told me. She got a whitening pen for use at home as well as a tooth brush, floss, and something else… she said they were gentle with her and nothing hurt (which she was afraid of).
Upon leaving, we were told that we needed to come back for the oral exam and to go over the xrays… unfortunately I work M-​F and had to take this day off to get Mom down here, so I said I’d have to talk it over with my Dad and that we’d call them… in the end we decided to forfeit the remainder of the voucher as Mom takes pretty good care of her teeth and she can just see her regular dentist in Mililani for xrays and/​or an oral exam.
IF we lived in the Kahala area, I would definitely come to this dentist (as would Mom) and we would recommend this place to other people based upon our visit last week. Unfortunately we live in Mililani and it’s more practical to stay close to home. GREAT experience for us!

So my mother bought her and I a living social deal to get an exam, teeth whitening and cleaning for Oct 24^th.
I have to admit i’m not the best when taking care of my teeth… So I was looking forward to finally getting checked out after a while of not having seen a dentist.
When we went in we filled out paper work since we were new patients.
The red head (well more like orange head) receptionists there answered a phone call while we we were waiting. She was talking to whoever was on the other end with such a condescending tone! I remember her saying, «that’s only six numbers. You can’t give me six numbers. A phone number has seven, you gave me six» in such a demeaning way. I mean come on lady, i’m sure either the person on the other line wasn’t clear about that, but no need to get all pretentious on her…
Anyways, I went in first because I had work at 3:30. I was helped by a nice Heald College dentist assistance. She seemed kind of new since she didn’t know the xray machine was off and such, but she was nice and made small talk.
Then I waited for like 20 minutes for the lady to come to clean my teeth… And in honesty, I fell asleep for a little in the chair haha.
When she came in she apologized for it taking so long which was nice. She made my cleaning experience really awesome! She told me if I felt any pain from the weird water spewing, scraping tool to tell me, and if any discomfort was felt to tell her. I appreciated her empathy. She also made small talk throughout the procedure and made it more relaxing despite the once in a while pain.
The whitening was done by the Heald assistant, and although a little painful, it went ok. My lips are still kind of wrinkly from the mouthpiece she put in my mouth (i’m assuming with the bleaching agent). She had to ask a few questions to a doctor when I told her my lips were sore which didn’t really worry me but just made me hope I don’t leave with burnt/​bleached lips!
Overall, the experience with those two were good. HOWEVER, here is where my two stars come in.
I was late for work (which honestly pissed me off but I was nice about it because i’m understanding), and didn’t finish my bundle. I still had my exam to do. What’s the point of getting an xray and such and not get an exam? So I asked the Heald assistant if I could reschedule for it. She was nice and said I could and asked the receptionist to help me.
I don’t know if being a B%t$H is a requirement for being a receptionist, but she did not make the last 5 minutes there good at all. First off, I was being SO NICE to all of them despite going over time and dealing with the attitude from the desk lady. She looked at her computer and smacked her mouth as I asked when I could come in next. In a very sassy tone, she said, «Well you have to come in again to get your teeth cleaned because they’re so bad, and because it’s been so long since your .last check up.» Me, not having dental insurance, being a poor KCC college student, and being late to the only job I have, I kindly ask how much that would be without insurance and told her I really didn’t have the funds anytime soon. She rudely said «$ 85. You have to get it done with your exam.» UMMM EXCUSE ME LADY. My mother paid for the PACKAGE. Package meaning everything it includes, which means the exam! I know as a business they have to make money and push clients come in again, but I told her kindly I couldn’t. She brushed everything I said aside and told me I couldn’t get my exam then. WTF? You basically stole from me.
In the end, I didn’t have time to stick around because I was late and my boyfriend was waiting for 40 minutes. I was furious and frustrated and left saying, «You know what, it’s okay. I gotta go. Thanks».
She didn’t deserve my kindness. And they just wasted money on xrays that’ll just go to trash. If she had just let me come back for what my mother paid for, I might have come back again and turned into a frequent customer! But now I won’t. At the desk, they had a please review us on Unilocal sign. Oh boy I wanted to all right.
If you want to know entire details just message me. This review is longer than the great wall! But if you’ve read it all, i’m glad you did. I just wanted to warn you all it won’t be a pleasant experience going in and leaving through that orange headed lady.

So I signed up for a Living Social deal for this dentist office for a simple teeth cleaning, xray, whitening for a pretty good price. I made an appointment and showed up on time, only to wait 1 HOUR AND A HALF after my actual appointment time to be seen. They cleaned my teeth/​xrays pretty quickly and then said I had to wait to use the whitening machine. Another 45min of waiting (only had 1 machine I guess). As I leave my 3 HOUR dentist appointment, the receptionist INSISTS I schedule an appointment a several months out for another cleaning. She tells me they will call me before the appt and I can cancel if I don’t want it. They don’t call, I miss the appointment and now I owe them $ 53 for a missed appointment! What a scam. A terrible, terrible operation.
