I’ve used them twice. They’re very reliable and thorough!

Second time using MIO and still love them! On-​time service, excellent customer service and their ability to tackle even the toughest of stains/​caked on stuff…(embarrassing, but) they are AMAZING! I really can’t say enough great things. They also allowed me to be there, which was convenient so I wrapped presents and did some work at home. This cleaning was just in time for the holidays and I now can start relaxing in my house. Thanks again Jim D and company!

We were very pleased with results. The person arrived 10 minutes prior to the appointment and got to work right away. We are very pleased with the cleaning and would highly recommend them w/​one caveat.

It’s always such a treat when my husband let’s me call Maid in Oahu to tidy up our home. Between work and life and all the things we accumulate, I sometimes let the chores pile up and slip away from me. That’s when Maid in Oahu comes in. They’re professional, efficient, friendly and do a much better job than I would do in my own. They’ll even fold laundry!
Marisa and Rose are awesome. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work.

I booked Maid in Oahu for a move out cleaning on my 2 bedroom/​2 bathroom condo and can honestly say that I’m very pleased with the results. Mandy and Jenna were both on time and very professional throughout the day. I would and will recommend Maid in Oahu to anyone that needs a place cleaned.

Jim and his team have been taking care of our vacation rental units for a while now, and are happy to say that we’ve yet to receive a poor review from any of our guests! We’ve tried nearly every other cleaning service on the island, and Jim is the first to go out of his way to ensure not only that the job is done properly, but that we’re satisfied; a true rarity in this business!

Our clients have hired Maid in Oahu on 2 separate occasions for 2 totally different type of jobs, with 2 totally different crews. We have hired many a cleaner over the last 10 years and in recent past, I have not been able to make a recommendation without hesitation. Crews change, owners change, and sometimes you just roll the dice. So far this company has 2 wins — 0 losses!
1) The first time was a «deep clean» single family home that had sat vacant for over a year. These considerations earned them the 5 star: First the owner called after I scheduled the appointment online for next day service to ask if it was ok to move the appointment to 30 minutes later because he would rather his crew be early than a few minutes late and was concerned that I would be waiting. I said that would be fine. I arrived there 15 minutes early to open up the house and they were in fact there early and ready to go. Second, this house was really grimy and dirty. It was a super hot day and they worked so hard, even though we had other workers on site, power washing etc. they worked in tandem without interruptions and did not leave until the job was done (it was a Saturday). Third, the company policy states that if you are not satisfied when they are finished, to let them know then (not after they leave) so they can take care of you. I did find a few jalousies that were missed and they took care of it immediately. I was 100% satisfied but more importantly, my clients were thrilled. They made the place shine again. Finally the follow up, ease of booking, payment etc. was stress free and most professional way to book a job.
2) The second booking was a move out — clean out of a beautiful but a happily lived in condo. They called to say they were running 7 minutes behind. In Honolulu with our traffic, I understand but was impressed that they were professional to call and let me know. NOTE to self: There was crayon on the shower doors and they told me that I could have noted it when I booked, so they could bring the proper solvents to clean it. But they did not refuse to do it, instead they promised me they would do their best — and they did! It may have been bath crayons but the fact that their attitude was great — this is was what sets apart the amateurs from the pros! I did not find a stray crumb in the fridge, or a missed streak on the mirrors. Every window track was dust free.
People are human and companies are made up of people. We all know that no one is perfect but this company sure makes the effort to reflect a perfect attitude of communication, professionalism and consideration. I believe is my kuleana to be satisfied — if I have a say, I stick around or at least be there when they complete the job. Tip: Be specific and realistic with your expectations before they start working. (example «please do your best to remove all water spots from fixtures»)
Kudos to Jim and his crew on setting a new standard for cleaning on Oahu. Please keep up the good work!

Our house is currently under renovation and I needed someone to come in to clean to minimize our exposure to all the dust. I liked that Maids in Hawaii charge a flat rate based on your home size and booking was extremely easy. I did call in advance to ask questions on the rate since our circumstance was unique. No bedrooms to clean just the kitchen, living room, half bath and staircase. The woman I spoke to recommended booking the deep clean 1bed/​1bath and writing notes on what I would like focused on. I did that but in hindsight I should have provided a lot more information. The place while dusty and dirty from the renovations had no furniture to move or a lot of items to dust nor required any work in a bedroom and only required cleaning a half bath not a full bath. When the cleaners arrived I asked them if it would be possible to clean the windows since a lot of the renovation dust had settled on the jalousies and would negate any of the hard work they did. I do understand normally that is an additional fee but considering how protracted the amount of work was it would have been nice if they did it as part of the fee instead saying it would be an additional $ 50. Or atleast explained the circumstance to their boss for approval. Mind it was only two window sets that needed attention. I agreed to pay it because I couldn’t see all that dust blowing onto the newly cleaned floors and counters. Overall the quality of the work was good. They did a great job cleaning above the cabinets and wiping them down. The floors were cleaned nicely but did feel a little pasty after it dried. My biggest issue was part of the countertop was not cleaned well. It looked like they didn’t want to move a small folding table to remove the last portion of dust. I should have inspected everything closer prior signing the release. If I did I would have caught that issue and requested they please take care of it.

I really can’t recommend Maid in Oahu enough. I have told everyone from my friends to random people at the grocery store how great of a company this is and I mean it.
My grandmother lives alone and even though I head out there multiple times a week it’s a huge job just to keep the place relatively organized. Between being a full time student and having a part time job it’s hard for me to do much more than keep her yard trimmed on a regular basis.

I can’t stress enough the impact these people have had on my grandma’s quality of life. We have looked on Unilocal for cleaning services before and it is always a daunting task. We have had terrible experiences with people stealing items and cutting corners whenever possible.
the great rating on Unilocal made me feel a little bit better about giving these folks a chance and boy, am I glad they did.
The ladies that come out are always prompt and ready to work. My grandma has told me that she is in awe watching them power through the house with the speed and efficiency hey possess.
I have never been present while they worked but the glowing reviews from my Grandma speak volumes. The ladies who clean her house are always kind and polite and the big thing for us is that we know that we can trust them in her house.
We initially signed up for a deep cleaning knowing that we may have to go through a couple of companies before finding the right fit but luckily that wasn’t necessary.
My grandma’s house is no small task. With a lifetime of clutter and no way for the high traffic areas to receive regular care I knew when I booked the appointment it might stretch from a one day job to a two day job at least for the initial cleaning. When we were told the ladies would have to come back to finish the next day I was fully expecting to be charged for an additional day but to my shock that didn’t happen. They kept to their flat rate guarantee even though there is no doubt in my mind that they deserved far more than that.
I know I’ve written a novel here but trust me, Maid in Oahu is the way to go for you and your family’s cleaning needs. You won’t be disappointed!

I was going to write a complete review but I think this email chain below will suffice. I’m not sure why they are saying they will charge me a cancellation fee after they came over and cleaned my house. I really hope they don’t. I did leave halfway through the cleaning process because my giant puppy was too excited.
I do want to say that if you have anything at all lying on your floor, they will clean around it and not lift it up. Even the toilet paper holder in the bathroom was left with dirt and dog hairs under it – how hard is it for them to lift up two rolls of toilet paper?

Hi Jim,
You have emailed the wrong person. I was at home all day and both housekeepers were there cleaning up. I did leave while they were cleaning, at their request. They were both late. The tall blond one arrived first and was only about 15 minutes late and the older one was about 30 minutes late. Sorry; I don’t know which one was Jenna or Rose.
They did a pretty good job but forgot to wipe the baseboards in the bathroom and do the bathroom floor so I had to do that myself. I wasn’t that happy with it since I am 8 months pregnant but I understand that people forget and make mistakes. The actual shower was done and I liked that the tall girl was able to reach up and wipe off some moldy spots that I could not have reached myself.
Please confirm that you have not and will not be charging me a cancellation fee on top of the $ 249 I already paid.

I arranged for a deep cleaning for my home on line, MJ and his team did an excellent job. They were friendly, worked hard and responsive to my requests of moving the furniture to their right locations. MJ would ask me to check an area after it was cleaned and would fix whatever needed to be done.
The on line booking is convenient and reliable. The flat rate, which most people favor, works somewhat against my situation, as the rate is based on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, which may not reflect the actual cleaning needed.
I would definitely use this company again and more often if the cost can be adjusted in someway.

I should have known it wasnt just a clever name. The ONE cleaner they sent, Marisa, did great work, but she was flying solo. I was later informed, when offered $ 20 off my next bill (which will never be redeemed), that her partner had gotten sick and they assumed she could handle it on her own. I still had to pay full price, so Marisa better have received her partners pay too (Im assuming this is the case, or would have given 1 star for exploitation of labor).
The reason I opted for a service was for efficiency. I could not track down the superb cleaners I had last hired to work for 2 hours with a team of 3 for the same price as Maid in Oahus 1. It took Marisa nearly four hours, and because she was afraid of our dog, I had to stay with him rather than help her out to speed things up.
I encourage any future customer to confirm they have a crew coming to work on their space, not just one person. Otherwise, clean it yourself and save the time, money, and guilt of watching one person do the job you can do on your own.

These folks are on time, work hard, and do a great job. I’ve used them twice, once for bathroom/​kitchen clean and again for move out. They do impressive work. Landlord so impressed with their work he gave me full deposit check back before they finished.

The booking couldn’t have been easier and I loved being able to do all of the booking online. I appreciate that when Jim had a question, he contacted me directly to make ensure we scheduled the correct service and would get just what we wanted.
We were super impressed with Marta and the professional and thorough job that she did cleaning our condo. We were delighted to see surprises like the closet vacuumed and the freezer cleaned. We appreciate the hard work it took to make our condo sparkle, thank you!

I love the transparency of the pricing guide. I had my mother’s one bedroom apartment deep cleaned and they did a great job. I’ve booked them to do a monthly spruce up to continue to maintain her place. I’ve had other cleaning companies do the same job for twice as much. Made an appointment to get my place cleaned as I was moving out. Booking was simple, and I had no problems getting the time and day I wanted.
Jennifer and her husband showed up on time, and my place is SPOTLESS. They did an outstanding job making certain all my needs were met, and I’m pretty sure my place is cleaner now than when I moved in. They were also very friendly and asked exactly what I needed done and performed very well. They also made certain to have me do an inspection prior to leaving. I would definitely recommend their services. They made things extra easy for my move.

I just got my house cleaned, my appointment was 9 and she was here around 920am until 320pm and I must say I’m not completely satisfied with the quality…
Good things:
–easy booking
–cleaner was friendly
–microwave was cleaned well
–fridge was cleaned well
–toilet bowl looks great
— trash were emptied
Not so good things:
— ²⁄₃ ceiling fan wasn’t cleaned, still so dusty and that’s the first thing she asked if I had ceiling fans.
— floors were left sticky and there’s still hair and dirt. It’s like it was swabbed with a chemical but not rinse and swabbed without sweeping first. That’s how all the floor looks and feel. My feet was so sticky and dirty after walking around to inspect.
–kitchen floor were sticky and I can tell she worked around my puppy’s pee pad holder so you can clearly see around it there’s still hair and pee and when I lifted it it was wet with pee and water.
— dusting was not good, you can tell it was quick dusting and she just dusted around things. I still had dust on tables, counter tops, appliances and so on.
–no baseboard detailing was done per the brochure
–dust on door knobs, toilet paper holders, cabinet knobs and all metal fixtures.
–windows were not cleaned well, it’s dusty still and still has gecko droppings.
— nothing was touched moved on the kitchen counter, it looked like she just wipe around everything.
–area rug was not vacuumed still has dirt and hair.
— couch wasn’t touch nor the dining room table and chair.
–no high dusting was done on cabinets or appliances
–knobs on showers still has build up and curtains was not touch at all.
— oven was half way done on the inside. She said she couldn’t do the door because my glass has a cracked so I said that’s fine but the inside itself was still not cleaned well.
So overall I’m not satisfied. I’m 8 ½ months pregnant that’s why I wanted my house cleaned before arrival of the baby and there’s no way I can deep clean like I normally would. I was hoping it would be a good experience so I can maybe get it done every so often but not sure now. I was excited with the flat rate I even added extras like windows, fridge, and oven cleaning and it’s still not up to par, it’s a bit disappointing… I was actually surprise because I normally depend on reviews and this place has a lot of good reviews but… no Bueno.

Suzanne & Santos did an amazing job! The same week I was able to schedule a deep clean for my apartment I was planning on occupying but before that I wanted it to get cleaned. I was very busy and knew I could not do the job myself so I searched on the old reliable Unilocal & Maid in Oahu was on top of the most recommended.

You choose how many bedroom /​bathroom the date you would like to have services done.
3 types of cleaning service and there is a chart for you to compare what type of cleaning service they each provide.
I paid $ 200 for a 1 bd 1 br and they spent about 3+ hours cleaning the entire place from the windows and walls! I will definitely use this cleaning service in the future. And you get a discount off each time you have them clean anything in your house
