Danny Cho and his folks did an amazing job on my kitchen. Demo’d one day and complete rebuild in just about 2 days. Timely, amazing work, great price and really professionally done.
My building has some strange set ups that require kitchen cabinets to be modified to allow access to an old fuse box and the hot water heater. No problem for them. Done easy and well. The crew even threw in a back splash behind the stove that went straight up to the cabinet. It wasn’t previously discussed. The foreman just thought it would look good and asked if I’d like that. Of course. Why not? So he threw that in at no additional cost.
Very very pleased with the work and highly recommend them.

Maika’i Construction was able to start the job right away. That was important for us. (One company tried to scare me by saying that something must be wrong and I should run if they say they could start working on the unit right away.) Danny Cho’s customer service is outstanding! During the whole project, Danny returned phone calls/​texts promptly, he sent pictures of the unit as dif parts were being completed, he would check with me first before doing something that wasn’t planned and he helped me pick out the best faucets for the unit. And their prices are very reasonable. From what I have seen, Danny has a lot of integrity. He will follow through on what he says. That’s pretty awesome! And best of all, my dad’s cabinets and bathroom look amazing!

I was referred by Atlas construction for my bathroom remodel. I got 5 quotes from different companies. I was little skeptical with the price of Maika’i construction and one other company offered. Maikai were second lowest bid. Because I was on a budget, I decided to gave it a try.
Bottom line up front, I am extremely pleased with the finish product and service from Danny. Not only they finished the bathroom nicely, it took only in 6 days including converting bath tub to shower, vanity, painting, toilet, flooring and other little things (I have only 1 bathroom). I end up remodeling my kitchen and bedroom floors with them (yes, I did went over my budget LOL). I would like to give much mahalo to Danny (project manager) for taking his extra time to go to material shopping with us and responding to our call, text and email any time of the day. I am planning to upload pictures later.

To remodel my condo in salt lake, I got 3 estimates-​proposals from different contractors. I went with MAIKA’I CONSTRUCTION for many reasons. Danny (project manager) was very professional and polite; he went to look at my condo just 2 days after we spoke on the phone. His proposal offered a VERY FAIR price and included a 3D image of what my kitchen would look like after renovation. None of the other contractors did that. He was also really good at communicating with me via text, email and phone during the project, always getting back to me within few minutes of reaching out to him. He gave me very professional advice on different things I had questions about and updated me on the project almost daily. His team not only did an amazing job of renovation, but they were skilled, clean and finished the job ON TIME as promised in the proposal. DANNY went above and beyond my expectations, even coordinating days and times for other contractors doing other jobs at the condo like appliance deliveries. If you are looking to remodel your home, any job small or big, DANNY and his crew are the best choice!
