Mod Industries

Stopped by looking for a set of rims for my girlfriends 2014 Toyota Corolla. David was extremely helpful in choosing the right size of rims to fit my needs at a MUCH better cost then other rim and tire shops. His customer service was excellent. He had our tires mounted and balanced WITHIN a hour and we where sent on our way. Will be the only place I shop on the island for rims and tires from now on.

David is the man! I stopped by the shop on Saturday to buy some wheels off of another guy who was getting newer wheels and tires mounted on his truck. David was able to get me in on Monday morning, and I was in and out in a flash. His rate was the best in town! It is a small shop but his service and personal attitude were so positive. I highly recommend him. I also definitely plan for to go back when I need new tires and probably a small lift.

David and the guys down at Mod Industries were excellent! Brought in my car to do the installation of wheels, tires, and lowering springs. Car looks amazing! Scheduling was really easy and the time of install was done in a timely manner. David was very helpful and knew what needed to be done regarding any specifics for my car which was great because this was a first for me on the suspension. I would highly recommend Mod Industries and will definitely be repeat customer!

I cant tell you how happy I am that i decided to bring my baby to dave at mod industries. I luckily stumbled across an auto body shop that directed me across the street up the ramp to mod industries. I talked to dave in the middle of the week and he scheduled me in for monday to put on my rims/​tires and bilstein 5100 shocks on all corners. After taking the appointment i read up on Unilocal and seen his reviews are perfect i then went on tacomaworld and seen alot of fellow members recommend him. From that point on i knew my baby was in good hands. When he called me to pick her up and he pulled her out of the garage i fell inlove all over again. It was like christmas in the summer. Anyways he quoted me a very fair price and you could tell everything was done right. When pulling up to pick her up he was torquing everything to spec which reassured me even more. I am very picky and I have absolutely no complaints. Thanks dave i will definitely be back for more work and recommend you on TW.

First of all I gotta say thanks to David and his insight on what looks good on my Chevy Colorado, pretty much upgraded the look on the truck, prices are very reasonable, and so much to choose for your ride. I recommend Mod Industries with the expertise of David for those not sure what they are looking for and even those who know what they want because of so many options to choose from.

David and his crew are a pleasure to do business with! First off, David was easily accessible by phone or email. He quoted me a great price to order/​install TRD springs on my IQ. The install was done quick and right on the day of my appointment (which was just as easy to schedule). Here’s the most surprising part… a few months after the install I came back to David to check out a noise from one of my springs. He diagnosed and fixed the problem at no charge. I honestly was expecting to be charged for the labor of diagnosing/​fixing the issue… but David is awesome in that he backs up his work… even months later.
In my opinion, David seems to genuinely care about his customers and their rides. He takes his time with his customers and works with them when choosing the right mod for their rides. This is just my observation from the couple times I was in his shop.
Definately will do business again with my current car and any future cars I may have. Mod Industries is already an instant referral to any of my friends/​family who wants to mod their car.

So stoked I found this place! I have used it twice and Dave is super honest, flexible and did a great job! I will never go anywhere else as they are probably the best on Oahu.

I can’t thank these guys enough for helping me out… long story short, I had my car at Horizon Lines all set to ship. It was 2:30pm on a Friday and the Shipping company wouldn’t take the car without the key for the wheel locks… and I needed to have it back to them within 30min or I wouldn’t have been able to drop the car off until Monday… problem was, I was supposed to fly out the next day!
One of the girls at Horizon gave me Mod Industries’ number which was only a few minutes away. As soon as I got there, Dave (I think!) handed me a key and sentI’m me on my was, with no expectation that he would ever see me again… I made it back just barely in time and the company let me ship my car thanks to his selflessness!
I wasn’t the only customer there that he was helping out of a crisis situation either. There was another girl there with on of her wheels in shreds.
I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Dave’s help. Truly great business model. THANK YOU!!!

These guys are awesome! I put rims and tires on my truck about a year ago, but needed to find a place to install a 2″ leveling kit (to stop the passenger side tire from slightly rubbing on the bumper trim). I called Mod Industries and within a week, they were able to fit me in. The job took a little over an hour and was VERY reasonably priced. The customer service is very friendly and while I was waiting in the waiting area, I listened to them interact on the phone and in person and I could tell that they go out of their way to accommodate their customers. I would definately recommend these guys to anyone looking for any type of wheel/​tire/​suspension services.
TIP: When you look for them on Google maps, it shows them in the middle of a warehouse. As you pass the warehouse, you’ll see a steep ramp to the roof on the left side of the loading docks. Take the ramp up and they are right at the top.

If you care about your car as much as I care about my Porsche. Let David & his crew take care of your needs. This is a first class facility in every way. I wouldn’t take my ride any place else.

Kind of a late review but better late then never! I was in the market for a new set of wheels for my 07 Charger! Wanted something that give my car an aggressive look, talked to Dave on the phone and he was able to run some quotes for me. Awesome prices and quality workmanship! Don’t let his small shop fool you, he has some of the biggest accounts in the state! Keep it up Dave and thanks for the awesome deal!!!

David was amazing to work with-​emailing and calling me back right away and helping me with the numerous questions I had. He was always very friendly and professional and helped me find the perfect 20″ wheels and tires to fit my tastes and my budget. My new Audi Q5 looks awesome and I am very happy! I highly recommend Mod Industries and David, and will never go anywhere else!

Story: Driving around with one tire deflating everyday & refilling air into it on a daily basis was getting pretty darn annoying. Went to my auto dealer & was told that no nails were found in the tire. So, maybe then it’s the stem valve, the seals between the tire, and/​or rim, or even a split in my actual tire. Or even, that’s how my rims & tires are made. Or gotta use Nitrogen, instead of regular pressured air in the tires. No way… no can be! All kind scenarios. Man, the stress that was causing me!
I finally decided to change my tires. Even though it was only a year and a half old. Something was definitely wrong with that tire.
My friend tells me about this tire place he went to, MOD Industries, & the great service and tires he got from there. So, frustrated with my faltering wheel, I decided to call.
I called the day prior and asked if they had my tire size in stock. Had! Check! Awesome!
Then, if they had any openings for the next day. Double check! Super! Finally I was quoted a price over the phone. What a great deal! Tripe check! The person over the phone was super friendly too. Quad check! Yew haw!
The next day, I bring my car in to get the tires changed. The first guy I meet was super friendly and nice. This is awesome! Then I went into the office. The owner is super nice & cool too! Totally awesome!
Within less than an hour, all four tires are changed out. Wow! Most excellent!
The climax to the story you may ask?
Nail in the tire! Super small one, but enough to puncture through. Bummer part is that it was super close to the tire wall. That’s pretty much a blown tire… new ones needed.

(Bad marks for my auto dealer for not finding that — but that’s another review later for my auto dealer)
Finally tonight… I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MOD Industries for your tires. New shoes = happy car & super happy owner!

David and the crew here are awesome! I was in need of a pair of tires, and was shopping around for a good deal. I happened to stop by here while on my way to a shop close by just to see what they offered. I just wantes the cheapest tire thst they offered, and David ended up beating the price of his competitor! The install only took a 2 hours, and that included the time it took for them to get the tires in from his distributers warehouse. So i had lunch nearby. When I went back to pick my wheels up, he sais that his distributer was out of the cheap tires, so he ended up giving me a better tire for the same price! So awesome!
I will not hesitate to come back to Mod Industries for my future wheel and tire needs!

I love living in our lovely Hawaii nei, but we have, terrible pot holes on the freeway & highway. It takes a toll in our cars. So we come to Mod industries. To get tires, rims, patch up tires, etc. The staff here are great.

Picked up a pair of tires from Dave several weeks ago. Didn’t have them in stock, so had them shipped in within a week. John did a excellent job with the installation and had me on my way within an hour.
Dave and crew are the real deal, providing over the top customer service.

Came here because I got a deal off of groupon for headlight restoration. I called and got in the same day which I was impressed.
The waiting room had a TV with on demand so you could pick what you wanted to watch while you waited.
The man that helped me was super nice and helpful and the results were fantastic!

Driving around on near-​bald tires works until torrential rain comes out of nowhere like it did today. I knew I needed tires but I thought I had time. WRONG. I’ve never floated on roads until this morning when the roads decided to transform into rivers. Luckily for me, I had just asked for 4 tires for my anniversary and I got a coupon for tires at Sears!
I had an appointment with Sears Auto center in a few weeks to get all 4 of my tires changed. For my car, I need 18″ wheels, and Sears quoted me around $ 1100, which included a friends and family 10% discount. Costco also boasted similar prices.
Then last night my Unilocal buddie Tze M. (thank you!) posts her review about this place. I decided to call them after I started hydroplaning this morning. Yay for Unilocal: I got tires, it was cheaper, and now I can spend the extra money on something else, like food!
LOCATION: Sand Island Road. Drive past American Carpet One, New Hope, and turn right up the ramp of the Amerisource Bergen building.
WHO COMES HERE: they sell tires and rims for all kinds of cars — 4 door sedans, trucks, monster trucks, racing cars, luxury European cars, soccer mom SUVs, and everything in between!
CUSTOMER SERVICE: David (the owner) and John (who answered the phone and did my tires today) were both extremely helpful, they didn’t try to «upsell» more things than I really need like at Sears (don’t even get me started, but Sears will try to sell you TPM, extended warranties etc.), and they were punctual — they said it would take an hour, and it was done in 44 minutes. That is extremely important when you have little kids in the waiting area — always good to under promise and over deliver!
EXPERIENCE: these guys have been in the business for a long time! JN Automotive trusts them enough to send their customers (from the high end Bentleys, Ferraris and other fine Italian cars, to the Audi, Mazda and Chevrolet) to them for all their tire needs.
PRICE: they got me the same type of tires that I had on my car (performance, ride, etc.) for $ 400 less than what Sears was going to charge me! If you want the Michelin/​Goodyear/​Toyo tires, you go to Costco/​Sears, but if you just want good performance tires that won’t slide and fishtail in the puddles, this place is worth checking out. From what I can tell so far, the tires are great. I hope they last 40,000 miles like they’re supposed to.
