Being able to cook most of authentic Vietnamese food, I do like major food from this restaurant like sour soup(canh chua), cá kho to, vermicelli noodles items, papaya or rare steak salad. For rice, I like their combo with 5 different types of Vietnamese items. You can choose either with free side salad or small soup. For Phở, I wish they can put more of ingredients like beef bones, cinammon n star to make the broth richer because after mixing with noodles and veggies, the broth seems lil bit blank. But overall, I prefer this place than the one across Ala Moana Mall because the consistency of food quality, service and special price. Fyi: the restroom will be at the end of the place, on the left side. Just ask! ;) Always come back when Im lazy or no time to cook.

Literally the best Vietnamese cuisine I ever went to. The service was really good, waiting time for the food was quick. I love how authentic the food taste over here and also they offer really unique Vietnamese varieties. Their desserts and specialty drinks are amazing!

Best broth in town. Broth is very flavorful. We usually get the combination phở with a side of beef on the outside. Their portion for a side of beef is huge. Lesson learned we don’t order a side of beef when we dine there now. Service is just ok. Venue is decent and clean.

Aloha, i hate Asian food. Chinese Japanese Taiwanese Vietnamese, even I’m Asian myself. I like Russian food, but there’s no Russian restaurant in Honolulu so I’m was badly struggling. But recently I find out that phở number 20 not that bad and has same taste as Siberian soup that I was eat everyday for like 15 years. Now I’m regular customer

I wanted to give 5 stars but to be honest I was not impressed with my dish: grilled chicken over vermicelli noodles. The chicken was a bit too salty for my liking, and they added too much marinade that took away from the dishes other flavors. Of course the veggies were very fresh, and blended nicely with the pickled carrot and ginger. My son and his friend ordered phở Tai rare steak and the broth was extremely clean and had been cooked long enough to where the beef bone and spices were detectable in the soup. The rare steak was cut so thin that it cooked effortlessly in the piping hot soup. Other keep points to mention: 1) customer service was beyond excellent 2) pricing and serving size was very reasonable 3) the location is perfect and easy to find Must mention that there is no bathroom, and parking can be found in front. I recommend ordering the Vietnamese coffee as they use the best brand that comes from Vietnam – becareful Vietnamese café will leave you cracked out! All in all a great place for lunch when you are out and about downtown. May come back if we attend another convention.

Phở one is great. While there is limited parking, I had no problem securing a spot out front. The first clue I knew that the phở here would be amazing was the actual Vietnamese people eating there. After placing our order it took less than five minutes to get our delicious summer rolls and at most, an additional five min to get our phở. My only drawback for the phở was that thy served with lemon, while I prefer lime. Other than that

My coworkers and I used to go to this phở at work. It was the first time I tries phở, I always have the roast beef sandwich and spring rolls. Every since then I have been hooked on phở.

I used to come here often, but the last two times I have come and enjoyed a meatless phở I got very sick. When I told my friends they told me they reuse all the sprouts, jalapeños and mint leaves from each table that is leftover. Super bummed but it’s not worth getting sick again.

Yes, I’ve passed by this restaurant many times. My turn off is the limited parking. Many times full but when my good Vietnamese friend tells me she’s sick and wants this I can’t deny her. She has our tickets for one thing. Anyway, this time around, I drove right in and parked. Go figure. BBQ pork vermicelli with spring roll is a standard menu item in any Vietnamese restaurant. You could order this dish without looking at the menu like beef phở. Before I get to that, let me say the restaurant is very clean and modern moving away from the typical Vietnamese restaurants. My friend is very familiar with the owners speaking in their native tongue ordering. The vegetable plate is brought out quickly. I’m happy to see there is a very good amount where some places will skimp on it. Hate that. Within a matter of minutes our bowls are brought out. The bowls are huge. This is more than I bargained for. The pork smells good. It’s not overcooked either. This has it’s own vinaigrette type sauce. I ask for another one because this bowl is huge. I’m mixing as I’m pouring the sauce making sure I get the veges buried deep underneath the vermicelli. The pork, which is the key to this dish, is cooked very well. It’s not overcooked for one, still retains its tender moistness. It was delicious. I didn’t think I could eat it all but it was so good I couldn’t stop myself. I thought I was going to feel really full but because there was lots of veges not at all. There are many phở restaurants in the area. I’m glad I have a friend who can guide me through the maze to places like this.

I just got here with my family tonight. I was expecting we will have good a sever with professional service(age in 50s, wearing a black frame reading glasses) … And then… The worst! No greeting, no helping but only place our order. We asked sever just to leave water on the table and he said«we don’t give extra water for customer, just tell me how many do you want!» I am verrrrrrryyyyy disappointment about this well known restaurant with the worst service ever!! Won’t come again!

I am not well versed in Vietnamese cuisine so when my buddy suggested here, I was totally down. He knows the food way better than me, so I just let him order. Definitely ordered the spring rolls… that much I know… LOL! But he also ordered us the jellyfish salad. Amazing flavors! And if he didn’t say it was jelly fish, I would’ve thought it was rice noodles. But the most delicious dish was the catfish phở with pineapple. OMG! Mouthgasm! This is a great little place. I must have driven by it a zillion times and not given it a second glance. I would definitely return and yes, parking can be a challenge.

I come here quite regularly — not only is it near my work, I do think that it is one of the best places on the island for phở. Their broth is consistent. Comes out hot. The other foods on their menu have been consistently good too. I’ve had my fair share of Vietnamese foods — nothing beats a home cooked meal, but this place definitely is a great substitute. Their rice dishes and vermicelli dishes are also good. Bun bo hue is also good, if you’re feeling a little adventurous. BBQ meat is always good. And definitely don’t wimp out on the fish sauce! That is one of the best parts of Vietnamese dishes! Might be a little smelly, but it tastes so good. Put some on your rice and noodle dishes(not in your phở), and you’re good to go! As far as parking, they only have a few dedicated stalls for their business. Don’t go during lunch hour and expect parking — maybe if you’re lucky. I usually order take-out for lunch unless I am dining in during the weekend. The establishment itself is fairly clean — customer turn-around is fairly quick since most people order the phở and the broth is already made. As far as the staff — I’ve read a lot of comments about staff being rude and such. All I have to say is, give them a break. Yeah, they can be abrasive, but don’t forget that some on staff have a language barrier and only say the words that are necessary in order to communicate with you in the restaurant setting. For many, English is their second language, and although they might come off as rude, they really aren’t trying to be. Enjoy!

Came to Phở One for a quick Phở fix. Being that it was in walking distance to where I was at the moment. I got seated quickly and handed a menu. It was early evening and not too busy yet. I scanned the menu quickly, but knew what I wanted. With servers passing me by I had to still had to make the eye-contact and nod that I was ready. I ordered my medium phở rare steak and added on the deep fried shrimp rolls. The shrimp rolls looked so yummy in the picture. That’s how they get you, the photos! So, I figured, why not! My shrimp rolls came out first and it did look as good as the photos. I knew it would be hot, but shoot it was piping hot, still burnt my mouth *ouch*! It comes with 8 pieces, the basil, lettuce, and noodles with the same dipping sauce for spring rolls. I passed on wrapping it up with anything. The first was yummy enough, then I realized after a moment that whoa there’s a slight spicy kick to it and what is that I’m chewing with my shrimp? I investigated the next and saw that they add a strand of green onion. But, what was the spicy thing, I’m not sure. I only ate half 4 pieces before I was over it. Taste was okay, its the flavor that was lacking. The phở came out shortly after. Lots of rare steak. Yay! Noodles are cooked well. Flavor of the broth is also lacking though. Didn’t even finish it all. Bummer. Not totally satisfied, but I guess it did the trick of a temporary phở fix. Service… What service? They didn’t say anything to me except to repeat my order. Seriously, not one word, no «hello,» no «are you ready,» no «how are you doing,» and definitely no «thank you!» The worse part is that they seat a group of 5 on the table next to me. Squishing them in next to the wall, then they realized they don’t really fit. But, hold on the server comes and grabs the chair from my table so he can put that chair in the side of the table, and then proceeds to move my table over and closer to the couple sitting on the table next to me, all this without acknowledging me, not even a sorry… Sorry couple, I guess we’ll be a party of three now, but I promise to mind my own business. Geez! The funny part or shall I say ridiculous part, is that there’s a booth available right in front of me that could be easily fit all of them. In fact two booths! I shortly see a party of two get seated in the booth… This totally makes sense. smh!

food is good, prices are fine, parking sucks. my mom loves coming here, so I always bring her when she requests, but I hate the parking at this location. there are only a few stalls in the lot(which is one way in and out) and limited street parking. the phở is always good and hot, and the service is fine. I recommend ordering the large unless you just ate or are planning on having a big dessert from Tea Boss next door. my brother said there wasn’t enough noodles in his large. the sauces are plentiful and the tables are clean. I don’t mind coming here because the food is good and the boba tea next door is yum.

Still on the hunt for a phở replacement since I’m a regular at Phở Tri and they’re still renovating… The phở soup broth here has been one of the better ones I’ve tried – Not too sweet in comparison to other places. I ordered the oxtail soup with rice, mostly because I thought the oxtail was decently priced(~$ 12) in comparison to hale vietnam(~$ 16). The oxtail didn’t have that much fat on it, which I appreciated but I couldn’t even find the oxtail in my bowl. You get four small pieces of oxtail served in a HUGE bowl that all you can see is broth. I left hungry and ended up eating a cheeseburger from mcdonalds. Parking situation can be kind of difficult depending on the lunch/dinner rush. There are additional stalls in the garage but even that can get full if it’s busy. Come during an off hour and you’ll find parking and be seated immediately without a problem.
