Professional Image Inc. – University

I just came from the Professional Image shop (University branch) and I agree with the reviews here: those guys are awesome. I had 2 jobs: one was straightforward and they whipped it out quickly. The other one was a bit tricky because it involved printing an image onto labels for DVDs. They worked on it so seriously that you’d think the fate of the universe depended on it! ;-) Yes, I’m half joking but I totally appreciate their attention to detail. If you don’t care about quality and it’s not a very important job, just go to Wal-​Mart; but if you’ve got a printing job that is important and you want it done right, I’d suggest going to Professional Image. (One more thing: if you’re like me, parking IS an important factor when deciding where to go for something. Professional Image will validate your parking stub; how awesome is that? The parking is located at the corner of University and King Streets. From there, it’s an easy 30 second walk to the shop.)

Sometimes your home printer or the Wal Mart photo center just won’t cut it. Enter Professional Image and all their amazingness.
I’ve been going to this place for awhile. Being a design major in college, I found myself here a lot to print posters, pages for books, projects, etc. In my post-​grad, freelance-​life, I come here for menus, flyers, all sorts of printing needs. Not only is it conveniently located down the street from UH (and across the street from coffee, might I add), but they’re always super helpful.
I’ve had the manager Keith help me out on multiple occasions. His advice and opinions on what paper would be best and the best way to execute the job is always appreciated. I always walk in with my USB drive and walk out with perfect prints, just the way I envisioned them. Even when I’m not entirely sure how to handle something, Keith and the other guys always have suggestions and are willing to help.
Their pricing is reasonable, especially considering the quick and professional service that’s always given. I’d definitely recommend for anybody who has printing needs — these guys are the bomb!

I came here numerous times for my UH Manoa classes and each time I went, I left the store satisfied. The past two times I came here for my Papermaking class which is where I make my own paper and needed to print something on it. Fedex and UH Manoa’s printing office wouldn’t allow it, but Professional Image Inc did which made me extremely grateful.
On the first occasion, the customer service representative, David was skeptical, but optimistic and eager to help. He printed two black and white images from my USB onto regular paper and then scanned it to print on my handmade paper. It was a time-​consuming process, but he persevered and delivered two beautiful images on my handmade papers for $ 2 in total.
The second time, I brought larger papers (8×13″) and did it in color. David was there to help and worked through trial and error to deliver 13 beautifully colored photos and text for my art project. I was blown away and extremely happy with how each of my art projects turned out. (FYI, the colored copies on handmade paper was $ 1.50 each, I think).
I would definitely come again since it’s close to UH. If you are having difficulty finding it, look for 7 – 11 and Professional Image Inc. should be across the street. Near Professional Image Inc. is a bus stop and KOKUA Market.

We used them for some last minute wedding printing projects and they came through with a wonderful job on time! We also use them for many printing jobs for our business and they deliver too!

I wanted affordable invites for my daughter’s birthday party with a quick turnaround. I called Dave at Professional Image and told him what I was looking for. I emailed him the PDF file, and he literally called me an hour later to say they were done. Total time from initial phone call to completion: 1−½ hours! Not only was I very satisfied with the quality, I was surprised when the bill came to only $ 27 for 50 one-​sided invites and envelopes!

…story goes: we are in the midst of planning a wedding and our budget seems to rise every single day (cue anxiety attack and bridezilla entrance)…so in a desperate attempt to save us just a wee bit of money, I opted to design my own RSVP cards and invitations to our rehearsal dinner.
Now the problem was, where do I take my files to be printed? Enter in Professional Image. I used to go to this University location to pick up book packets when I attended UH. They validate and there’s plenty parking in the University Square lot.
David is the man. He is friendly, courteous and really takes pride in the materials he prints. When I first went down to get a consultation on my files, we discussed pricing and I got to choose which thickness of paper I wanted. Then all I did was shoot him an email the next day, and attached my PDF file. Granted, I became somewhat of a «regular» for a bit, because our guest list didn’t seem to end. But each time, the turn-​around time on my files was less than a day… and my cards were neatly cut and stacked waiting to be picked up.
Awesome prices and you get a quality product. All of the things I’ve sent came out great. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

I am remiss for not writing this sooner. I’ve been working with Keith, Mark and the gang for years. They are super easy to work with, FAST, professional and prices are very affordable. The quality they produce is always top notch and often times turn out even better than I expected. I can always count on them to get the job done right. Awesome service and highly recommended for all your print job needs!

They’re quick, professional and have great customer service! The prices are affordable as well which helps when you’re on a budget and attending school.

I have to say with a profound level of sincerity, these guys are amazing. I’ve been using them for years, and they are fast, professional, nice and just overall fantastic.
Basically, they can meet all your printing needs. I will typically email them things and they fix it up and get it for me as soon as possible (often rush jobs, which they’re very good at). You really never need to go anywhere else. I’ve never been unhappy with their service. Ever.
The core team is Keith, Mark and David — and they’re all wonderful!!!
If I could give them 10 starts I would.

The price is right, the service is great, and the location also has validated parking with purchase.
You can tell their work is in high demand. They are very busy, but still manage to be responsive. Keith and Mark are friendly and professional (and have a good sense of humor, too!)
I’ve been very satisfied with all our (my organization’s) print jobs so far — brochures, letters, envelopes, colored, b/​w, you name it. If I’d missed any specs, they consistently check in to verify what I need. (Some other places I’ve gone to, the folks would print based on what they *thought* I wanted).
They also accept my company card (AMEX) which is another plus.

These guys are great. Friendly, professional, and helpful. As a UH professor, this is where I go – their prices beat Fedex, and these guys actually know their stuff, as opposed to just being $ 8/​hr employees just counting the minutes til their smoke break.

I had a really good experience here while picking up my readers for class!
I called them in between classes to have my packets ready for pick up. very easy going people to talk to. they told me how fast they could have it done (within ½ hour) and I told them when I could have it picked up. wrote my name down and bam!
went to park behind the building briefly cause it’s complete chaos on king at around 4:15pm
went inside. quick swipe of my card. and bam!
thankfully. they do binding for cheap over here and one of my profs that didn’t have our course reader hole punched or binded. the guy over here did it for less than $ 4
super nice and friendly people over there in the midst of school just starting and all the students they interact with. they weren’t grumpy or impatient. so it was nice working with people that let their past customer experience dictate the way they interacted with you

Good Prices and great service. I found this place as a student at UH. Its great for printing big documents and getting documents scanned to your email! They can even bind the document for a small price. You can also email them the document ahead of time and pick it up when you are ready! Parking is easy at the University square lot, and they validate!

I went to Professional Image to print out brochures for my work place. They were friendly and really accommodating to our needs. For example, they printed out our brochure on different types of paper so that we could see what looked best. They also completed our brochures in a timely manner. I would recommend this place for anyone who needs printing services.
