Best eyelash perm on the island! Hideko and her staff are all very nice and helpful. I’ve had my lashes permed by Chie twice and it’s one of the best lash decisions I’ve ever made. She said my lashes take a little bit longer than average to react to the perm solution but I never feel rushed and she really wants to make sure they look good. After your service, they offer tea or water and a little chocolate. When you enter Century Center, ask for the parking pass for Salon Island Beauty. They have reserved stalls and parking is $ 1. I will be back!

Lots of compliments about my eyebrows and no one can tell they are tattooed… thank you Hideko! Saves me lots of time when getting ready. Would recommend it to all my friends.

This is my fourth visit and I’m sure it’s safe to say… I love this place!!! Got my lashes refilled and once again Hideko’s work is top notch and worth every cent. Of course I have already scheduled my next appointment ahead because I can imagine how difficult or rare it must be to get an appointment with short notice. Thank you Hideko for my lovely lashes!

Hideko was great, I got my eyebrows tattooed and my eyelashes permed. She gave me a 10% discount on the eyelash perm because I purchased two services – added plus! I originally had my eyebrows done elsewhere but they: (1) did not shape it as I had wanted and (2) told me I had to do powder/​solid style because I had previously gotten my eyebrows tattooed. Well, Hideko not only shaped it PERFECTLY with an arch and shading in the exact right places, but also did it with brush strokes, so it looks absolutely natural and amazing! I honestly don’t know why this place isn’t SO MUCH MORE popular for permanent makeup services, but I have a feeling it’s going to start getting busy once more people learn about it.
NOTES:
1. price: $ 300 for «fixing» of previous tattooed brows (2 sessions, 1 month apart) & $ 45 (normal $ 50 without discount) for eyelash perm
2. location: in town. Specific parking stalls are reserved for the salon, just talk to the parking attendant as you enter. I only paid $ 1 for the hour I was there.
3. no wait & great service. Hideko goes over all of the consultation information before she begins. She does offer spot testing for those worried about allergic reactions to the ink.
3. cleanliness: they are VERY clean. Facility itself is very nice but the staff are very concerned with hygiene (hand washing, all new needles/​materials used for my procedures)
4. ease of making appointment: I called on Sunday and the had me in on Tuesday afternoon
5. reception: very pleasant & efficient
6. pain/​discomfort: barely any; she uses a strong topical cream to numb the area first, so the pain is less, although still slightly there enough for you to feel what she is doing. No burning, redness, or allergic reaction to the eyelash perm, which I had gotten before from a different place.
7. timeliness: I was literally in and out without feeling rushed. No waiting, awkward moments of staring at the receptionist, or sitting in an empty room pretending to be busy on my iphone. They are prompt!

I have been going to Salon Island Beauty for eyelash extensions since May, 2015. The salon is very clean and has a very relaxing atmosphere (…yes I have embarrassingly caught myself falling asleep during a lash session from my own snores… yikes!)
I always go in to see Yuki and she is aaamazing! The first time, she sits down with you to give you a really comprehensive consultation on how you want your eyelashes to look (eyelash length, thickness, style) she listens really well and executes the style perfectly. Yuki is always so patient, she really takes her time to make sure that every eyelash goes on flawlessly!
Some tips:
1. The salon is located in the same building as Solitaire Bridal & Estate Jewellers (Solitaire has a huge sign that is easy to see in the front of the building)
2. For parking, tell the parking attendant you’re going to Salon Island Beauty and they will give you a parking pass which will tell you what floor and which stall to park in! Sometimes they run out of parking passes so you would just have to park in a visitor stall. Don’t forget your parking ticket in the car, because the salon will validate it for you!
3. After your visit, be sure to book your next appointment with them — you get a discount and they seem to always be booked so it’s good to plan ahead! ;)

This is my 3^rd time coming here and I am still so impressed with the service and quality of work done by all the girls here! I got my lashes filled and nails done at the same time! You also get 10% if you book to do it together, no brainier right?! So convenient for those who don’t want to spend hours in a salon.
I’ve gotten my lashes done by Chie all 3 times and she is so awesome! Since my first visit I’ve added on an additional 40 lashes total (160 total) and she has delivered the exact volume I’ve asked for each time. I will be getting the Hollywood Volume set next visit since I want them to look more full. She is such a sweet and friendly person so the time passes by so quick with her!
I got my nails done at the same time by Yuki and I am in love with them! It is a little scary not seeing what’s happening, but don’t worry. She knows what she’s doing! Just take a look at her book full of previous customers’ nails and you’ll see for yourself. Also, the price is so reasonable. I paid $ 70 for a gel mani with many studs/​crystals on all 10 nails. Other places I’ve gone to has charged me the same price just for one accent nail.
I’ve also bought a few pairs of earrings they sell there, will post picture next time. If you’re in love with that beachy/​elegant style, you will love these earrings! Granted they are a little pricey at first glance, but they use high quality crystals/​stones so keep that in mind!

K, granted this is my first eyelash extension experience and i have nothing to compare it to. This place is excellent! So professional. Yuki was my consultant/​expert and she was so personable! She went through different types of lashes and really honed in on what i was looking for– a more than natural lash! :) im very pleased with how they came out. Cute, quiet little place. Also, i have to say i ran into some traffic before my appointment so I was 10 minutes late (i hate being late) but the owner was so professional and they still took time to see my appointment through! (Sorry!) the lashes and supplies are from Japan, so very high quality! I will be back for sure.

Great Place… Hideko is very personable and makes you feel very comfortable. She showed me the individual packaged tools she’d be using, mentioned she was going to wash her hands (which is great because I work in healthcare), and gave her expert advise on what would look best. I may have looked a bit anxious but they really do their best to make you feel at ease, refreshment drinks are offered too.
If you go, be sure to ask the parking attendant for Salon Island Beauty’s Parking pass or you’ll have to pay more to park in guest stalls.

Got my eyebrows tattoos and full lash set. First time doing both. Neither hurt (tattoo stung a tad) and LOVE both. Got 100 lashes on each eye.
I got my eyebrow tattoo weeks after lashes, so that is why they don’t look full in the picture, they are ready for a fill. Either way I look like a different person!

I found this business by searching through Unilocal.The pictures looked great and the reviews raved about Hideko, the owner and cosmetic tattoo artist. I called and scheduled my consultation and she got started on my eyes during the first appointment as I opted not to do a «test» to see if I was allergic to the ink. I wanted something thin and natural looking, basically to look that I wasn’t wearing any make up. She did an amazing job. It was so natural looking, but I realized I was up for something a little more bigger. So on the follow up appointment, she added some thickness to the lines. There is not a day that goes by that I just look at my eyes and think, «why didn’t i do this earlier!?» It’s so awesome. Twice now I have had her to the flakes glue on eyelashes, and they look amazing, they last about 5 weeks but I recommend getting them touched up around week 4. I wake up looking like my make up is already on, it’s great!

Ps. Got my toenails done this week and they look incredible. Expensive for a pedicure ($ 69) but you can tell this is high quality and will last about two months, so in the long run its actually more affordable then getting a cheap pedicure more frequently.
Edit: my pedicure lasted 2.5 months. I finally took the paint off myself, it looked incredible the whole time.

Absolutely love my lashes every time I come here. The first two times that I got my lashes done Kyoko did a great job. On my third visit Hideko did my lashes and it was great as well. Not only is the outcome great but the procedure is relaxing almost to the point of falling asleep. The ladies that work there are super sweet! Another thing that I like about getting my lashes done here is that they never look fake, unlike other salons, and you can control how much lashes you want.

This was my first time getting my lashes done. I was referred by hair and make stylist Sarah Rose. Everyone at Salon Island Beauty is very professional and friendly. Kyoko was very pleasant and answered all my questions during the consultation. She did top and bottom lashes which took almost 2 hours – which was worth it! When she was finished something was bothering my right eye. She kindly laid me back down and took at look at my eye and lashes. She did some kind of magic lol and fixed the discomfort. The lashes are BeauTiFUL!!! I love it. At every stop light on the way home I was looking at my lashes. By the way the salon is clean which is also a huge MUST when it comes to salons. I also booked my next appointment. If you are curious and always wanted to try lash extensions, go here!!! You will be please. Every penny and minute spent at Salon Island Beauty is worth it!!!

It’s been a month and even though I’ve had some natural falling out as lashes do when you’ve had them on for a while, THEY’RE STILL ON & STILL LOOK GOOD!
I had the Hollywood volume lash and now after a month the look is more of a natural lash. I’m so happy and can’t wait to visit again!

I came here a few months ago for my first appointment, I recommend you get the $ 60 for $ 120 deal! The area is clean and nice and the ladies there are very, very sweet. When you go to do your eyelashes they let you lay down and put this nice cuddly blanket on you. I always end up just falling asleep lol When you’re done, a disposable lash comb is given to you as well as a cup a water or iced tea, a macadamia kiss, and a little chocolate cookie nibble. Booking your next appointment there gives you 10% off! Also, for lash retouch it’s a dollar per lash. Which, I feel is a little pricy, but hey, it’s super cute so why not!

I called trying to get an appointment on the same day, they were booked, my fault for being so last minute. Luckily I got a call back a little while later that there was a cancellation and that they could take me! Yay!
The interior of the salon is so calming, I love it! I appreciate that Chie took the time to explain the difference in lash curl, volume, & length. She took a look at my lashes and informed me which style would last longer for me since my middle lashes are long and straight, but my outer corner lashes are short and very curly. I ended up going with the natural lash, with 55 on each side. She let me know what she was doing through the process so I knew what was going on. You can tell she cares about making sure you have a good experience, she told me to let her know if anything was bothering me while she was doing the extensions. At the end, she explained how to take care of my lashes so they will last as long as possible. My lashes are comfortable and feel so light! I used to wear false lashes, but now I can skip the whole process and it saves me time getting ready.
Chie did an amazing job! I love my lashes and can’t wait to make another appointment for my refill in a couple weeks! They also have great deals for new customers!

Salon Island Beauty is a hidden gem! It’s located in the 21 Century Building.
From the moment I step inside, I immediately begin to feel relaxed! I really really love the beach décor and am always tempted to take one of them home. Haha!
I had my eyebrows tattooed by Hideko and she did an AWESOME job!!! It was my very first time and I always avoided the idea of even getting my eyebrows tattooed until my mother told me about how Salon Island Beauty uses a completely different technique from the normal nightmare green eyebrow tattoo.
Hideko matches the color of your eyebrows to your hair and skin, so it doesn’t look ridiculous. She draws it on so it looks like it’s been «threaded» in, so it looks natural. She also asks to have at some eyebrows of your own so she has a better idea on what your normal eyebrow shape is.
Despite the pain, I found myself falling asleep. Hideko’s work station is so relaxing. Not to mention she is fast, efficient, skilled, and professional.
It healed within two days!
I went in about a month later for a touch up, which only made my eyebrows even more beautiful!
Since it was just a touch up, the healing time was literally over night.
The price is TOTALLY worth it! The touch up
is free.
They also have other services. One of them are nails. I’m not much of a nail person, but the prices are really good! They’re quite cheap! At first I thought it was $ 50 (designs and all) for one hand, but that’s actually the full price for the whole service!
My life is so much easier now! I don’t have to struggle drawing my eyebrows in or worry about my eyebrows disappearing throughout the day and having to redraw it in.
I really appreciate the texts and email appointment reminders they send out. Very convenient!

I don’t know what happened to my other review that I posted last month. It seems as though Unilocal randomly erased it??? (I don’t know why it would be erased since it was an awesome review about how I complimented how wonderful this salon is). Well, I didn’t even know that it got erased until I went for my touch up yesterday. So I am writing another review because this salon is absolutely the best!!!
I highly recommend salon island beauty because it is so clean, friendly, and professional. I got permanent eyebrows and eyeliner done by Hideko. She is a true master of her artform. She is very meticulous in her work and I truly appreciate everything. I was a make-​up artist and I am very specific about the way I wanted my eyebrows and eyeliner done. She listened and helped me to achieve the desired look that I want in a very natural way. I love my results!!!
Since my other review got erased… let me just recap that Hideko shows you the needles in a sealed bag so that you know that everything is very sanitary before she begins. When she starts tattooing, you just hear a small buzzing sound and for me, my eyebrows did not hurt at all and my eyeliner hurt just a little because it is the thinnest part of your skin anywhere on your body.

I went to go see Hideko for both permanent lip liner and permanent eyebrows.
EYEBROWS:
She definitely is a true professional. First, we talked about what I wanted to achieve with permanent makeup to ensure that we could properly meet my beauty goals. Next, she took an eyebrow pencil and outlined a shape that we both liked. I was so impressed when she (as a professional) put her own input when deciding to make the shape of my brows. She showed me that what i initially wanted made my eyes look a bit sad and recommended a shape that would better suit my eyes. All in all I am so overjoyed with my new eyebrows. She epitomizes the natural hair stroke and it looks very realistic! TATTOOING WAS ALSO VERY COMFORTABLE.
LIP LINER:
Hideko listened to my goals (to embody a fuller lip) and definitely helped me achieve this look. We outlined a little outside my natural lip line to create a more voluptuous affect. She also mixes and can make any custom color you want. The end result was very natural! My lips look A MILLION times fuller and they look completely real! It didn’t hurt at all, and two days later i already started healing! I don’t know how she does it but i definitely will be coming back for more procedures in the near future.
I HIGHLY recommend Hideko for any of you looking to do permanent makeup. She is very accommodating and honest. She is also a very nice person that will make you feel comfortable & truly cares about helping you achieve your beauty goals. Can’t wait to go back for my touch ups! (which she includes, free touch-​ups included in the initial price you already paid).

I always get my eyelash extensions, it’s been many years. When i first moved to hawaii i’ve been to other salon to get my eyelash done and pretty much disappointed so i wasnt expecting anything like i used to get coz i’ve been getting great eyelash extensions from my country im from korea.
I found island salon through my nail girls i really didnt expect but suprised!!!
They do great job trust me im picky when it comes to beauty things. They are the best in town i wouldnt go there every 2weeks if it wasnt!!! I love their work and they are really nice and friendly! You can also get waxing too!!! I love this place
