Samantha Thavasa

I’ve been thinking about buying a wallet or bag from this store for a while. Samantha Thavasa is a Japanese brand of leather goods similar to Tory Burch and Kate Spade. Everything in the store can be either super classy or really cute, but my favorite thing about the brand is the durability. It’s closer to Kate Spade in price but the quality is a lot better in my opinion.
The girls that help you are super nice, really knowledgeable, and won’t make you feel pressured at all. Today I bought a charm and a wallet for under 200!
I’m looking forward to purchasing more in the future.

They carry a good selection of Japanese made purses and wallets including Hawaii exclusive. I wasn’t sure what to get until Tina Lipa came to my rescue. She has excellent customer service. She is very helpful and knowledgeable of all the items they carry that helped me make a decision. I will definitely come back to this store next time I’m visiting. Go Tina!

Samantha Thavasa is a bag company that is from Japan. They opened their first U.S. store at Ala Moana Center. I’ve been in there a few times and bought a few of their items. Usually, their service is top notch. It was not the case for black Friday.
They were opening their store at 12am on Friday. I got there at around 10:30pm, Thursday night. There were about 25 people ahead of me. I waited in this line for an hour and a half. We finally were let in at midnight. There was this really cute Hello Kitty bag that I wanted, but it was all gone by the time I got into the store. I asked the saleswoman and she said that they only had two available, which was fine, because it was limited to stock on hand. She didn’t even bother to go and check the back stock.
I started to look for other bags. As I was looking around, I counted three of the Hello Kitty bags that people had in their hands, even though she told me they only had two in stock. Ten minutes had passed since I asked the saleswoman for the Hello Kitty bag. As I turned around, I saw another salesgirl bringing the same Hello Kitty bag that I had asked for from the back. I went back and talked to the saleswoman that first helped me. I told her that I had asked for the bag first and she told me there was none, and now the other salesgirl has brought one from the back. She goes up to the customer looking at the bag and tells her, «If you don’t want it, she’ll take it.» and points at me. Now, I’m steaming. I put back the bags I had in my hand. I wasn’t about to purchase anything from here tonight.
The regional manager from Japan was in the store helping out. I asked to speak to him outside. I told him the situation and that I was very upset about what happened. He said that he’s from corporate and that they had a lot of Hello Kitty bags in Japan. He asked me what styles I preferred. I showed him the one the girl was carrying and he took a picture of it. He said that they might not have the exact same style but they should have something similar. He asked for my email address and said that he would email me. Stay tuned…

This store is pretty cute. It is an accessory brand so mostly purses and wallets. It’s very girly and kawaii but it’s not that cheap. It’s not too too expensive either. It’s worth taking a look at but its a pretty small store

This is my favorite store for buying awesome wallets and charms. The variety changes as everything is imported from Japan. The quality is always great :) the women I have met at the store are always so nice and welcoming. If your looking for a nice handbag that is different then I suggest you check out their hawaii exclusive line it’s gorgeous.

I love coming into this store. Such cute totes, handbags and wallets. They even have some Disney designed bags. I visited their Japanese website (which is also in English) years before they opened on Oahu. You can also find cute glass cups. They’re similar to Coach on their merchandise pricing and not as high end expensive like Louis Vuitton.
The workers are nice and helpful. I hope they get an online store soon.

We were passing by this store on our way out and a pretty bejeweled wallet in the window caught my eye. I went inside to take a look and there were many adorable styles, making hard for me to decide. I ultimately chose the original one that I had seen in the window. Adorable store, I hope to go back again soon!

I am the (very recent) proud owner of three ST bags. I cannot emphasize how much I enjoy walking through the store. So much eye candy and such lovely salespeople, too! Samantha Thavasa is a Japanese fashion company known particularly for their extensive handbag lines as well as accessories and apparel. The faces of the brand are often Western celebrities. Their current muse is former Victoria’s Secret model, Miranda Kerr.
ST has a line for every price point. Their fast fashion line, Samantha & chouette, can retail for as low as $ 89. It goes up as you move from the left of the store to the right. Their Samantha Thavasa line can retail for more than $ 300. They have a special Hawaii line in the front of their store. Other lines that the Ala Moana store has is their line for adults, Samantha Vega, and their accessories line, Petit Choice. ST Petit Choice is releasing a lot of Disney collaboration items! Think… Frozen, Rapunzel, Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and most recently, Cinderella!
They have bags for every style and occasion with emphasis on the pastels and brighter colors. There’s also a nice assortment of travel accessories and home items. If you love Kate Spade handbags but want an extra oomph of cute, I highly recommend visiting Samantha Thavasa!

While I really love the bags and atmosphere of this store, I find the customer service hit or miss. I used to come in often, as they are constantly receiving new arrivals (like the disney products they’ve been finally licensed to sell). Many associates are eager to help, but there have been a few that will flat out ignore me (despite how small the store is and being the only potential customer in it) until a tourist shows up and they rush to greet them.
The woman with short hair, I can’t quit remember her name was very sweet. When I purchased my first bag, she seemed so excited for me that it only added to the joy of buying a new bag.

something good: i came here for the first time during the christmas shopping season~ i was finding a gift for my sister~ i hadn’t really been familiar with this brand but remembered her mentioning a little bit about it to me! so as i entered for the first time i was a little intimidated~ i didn’t know very much about price range and what was popular! thankfully there was the sweetest sales girl! as i was browsing and looking she approached me in a gentle manner and asked me if she could help me! i really appreciated her softer approach to selling since i was already feeling a little overwhelmed! i just asked her what the popular items were that someone would like getting as a gift, and she started directing me in directions of items that she thought would fit my criteria! i was surprised that although some items were big tickets, they also had some handbags and wallets that i thought were reasonable! i will definitely be back again for other gifts for others and maybe for myself as well! :) oh and a bonus, my sister liked the gifts that we chose! everything worked out perfectly thanks to the sales team!

Absolutely loveeee their purses. Beautiful vibrant colors! Workers are friendly and the store really caught my eye.

Outstanding customer service here at Samantha Thavasa.
The employees are very knowledgeable about their products and are very patient with helping you find what you need. I am not familiar with handbags, girl wallets, etc. so I really appreciated them explaining the pros and cons of the different styles.
Their return policy is pretty fair… 30 day return /​exchange period. This excludes sale items so make sure you or the recipient really likes the product.

I didn’t know about ST until this store opened. It doesn’t sound asian… but as soon as I saw the things in the window, it just screamed LOLITAAAA (which is a japanese street fashion of cuteness btw). so I had to go in.
Everything is KAWAII and adorable! They have sleek and sophisticated styles too. But I fell in love with the mint and lavander purses with mini-​me purses attached, and the glittering keychains. They also have adorable tea cups and other girly cute gift items. I came to visit ‘my purse’ a few times without buying it until one day I couldn’t take it and asked if they could put it on hold. I was expecting astronomical prices like in the thousands but it’s more in the hundreds. The next day I came back, and I got my purse. I was always treated nicely and the store is just delightful to be in.
If you love CUTE things and GIRLY things and JAPANESE FASHION, then definitely check it out !

If you don’t know Samantha thavasa her brand originated in japan I think their first or probably only us store is in New York then now here in Hawaii obviously because of our growing asian clientele. If you love kate spade and Tory burch you’ll definitely love this cute store.
Store us very organized clean and smells good.
The ladies are friendly but not pushy which is always nice, so then you don’t feel pressured at all.
Overall must check out for y’all ladies that love bags and japanese fashion.
