It’s a joke that EVERYTIME I’ve gone here, I end up leaving 50% of the time before eating. THEYHAVE4REGISTERSANDONLYONECASHIERWITH A LINEOFPEOPLE10 – 15DEEP! ITMOVESSOSLOW I ENDUPLEAVINGOUTOFFRUSTRATION. Sure, the food is cheap, but I’d rather go somewhere else and pay a little more and get my food without having to stand in a line for 15 minutes. I can’t believe they can’t fix this simple problem. Oh, and Sam’s Club, I’m not the only one that leaves, I’ve seen alot of other people do the same thing. Think of the business you’re losing.

The wait time here is re-donk-u-lous! We came for the $ 5 kalua pig plate… They use the whole bag for 1 plate… If wasn’t for the wait time I give 3 stars but honestly the system they have here DOESNOTWORK! If you not in a rush, then chance’um otherwise got LnL in Walmart downstairs that’s way faster but mo expensive! Grind on! Pau!

I can’t understand why the Sam’s Club Café requires that you show a membership card before making a purchase. I mean they check your membership card once you enter so why do you need to show it a second time before making a purchase of a dollar and $ 0.50 for a hot dog? It seems like a waste of time and redundant. As for the food, it’s just ok. They have healthy items like a deli sandwich for $ 3.49 or a chicken Caesar salad for only $ 3.99. There’s also numerous bottled water and energy drink choices like monster and Red Bull. The fountain selection is pretty good with sweet green tea and sweet black tea. What I don’t like about the Sam’s Club Café is the wait. There is only one long line with typically only one or two order takers and one or two runners preparing the food items behind the counter. I really think they need to double up on their staff to provide a faster grab-and-go experience.

Their pretzels and pizza was really good. But do I need a membership to just go to the café?

Cheap good stuff! Chicken sandwich for 1.99 large slice of pizza and drink for 2.49 — large pizzas 16″ for 11.99. Sometimes there’s a line but it’s cheap

Sam’s Club Café is located inside of the Keeaumoku Sam’s Club. It offers a wide selection of ready to eat foods such as hot dogs, pizza, chicken sandwiches salads and desserts. It has a similar selection to Costco’s food court, with a competitive pricing. They open around the same time as the warehouse(to general members) and closes roughly before the warehouse does. They accept cash, debit cards, Amex MasterCard and Discover’s. PROS: They have a better selection of finger foods and desserts(churros and pretzels). The food for most part is similar in selection and price as Costco. WORKSINPROGRESS: It seems that Sam’s Club and Sam’s Club Cafes’ motto is to take as long as humanly possible to serve you. Every time I go to Sam’s Club, I see a long line at the Café. They only have 1 cashier, maybe 2ONCE in a great while. It took me about 15 minutes to wait in line to order a pizza slice and another 5 to get it. It wasn’t busy, but there was only one employee in the front taking orders, and also sending out the order. I guess its food for subsistence.

Compared to the other Sam’s Clubs I go to, I like this one only because their Café seating area is separated from the rest of the store. It’s all connected, but they have a little inner room, where it’s just tables, and the soda machines, so you can eat in peace, without people or children screaming, people yelling, or anyone running by. How nice to sit, relax, look out onto the street, and converse without interruption. There isn’t an abundance of seating, but enough where no one was left standing or taking their food to do. My dad and I enjoyed eating here — we always love their pizza slices and cheap hot dog/soda combo meal.

Always fast and friendly service but my 2 problems are the cleanliness of the tables and the hit and miss on the pizza! Sometimes it’s really greasy like soaked in oils or it’s perfect… Other than that it’s perfect place to go on a budget!

Wow, the Sam’s Club Café has a Nathan’s hot dog and a large soda for only a dollar fifty! That’s an unbelievable deal! Yes, the price is fantastic but unfortunately the service is really sub par. Definitely need more staff. I’ve also tried the Kahlua pig plate. Its a nice size serving of kalua pig with macaroni salad and white rice. Is tasty but I just wish there was a brown rice option. When you’re on the run and shopping, Club Café is definitely a good choice. There was more staff which would lead to a fantastic value oriented dining experience.

Sucks that you need a membership to eat here! Dang hot dog cost me $ 46.50! That’s quite a bit more expensive than Costco, but since it was imported from Nathan’s Famous hot dogs in New York, I figured flying there would’ve cost me a couple bucks more, so I splurged! At least now, I can enjoy these tasty dogs at a discounted price of $ 1.50, with drink, for a year! They also have hot pretzels, pizza, along with ice cream and slush. They make pretty good slush floats too. For the price, you definitely can’t go wrong, and for less than 10 bucks, you can feed a family of four and have dessert! Not sure who cleans the tables there, but when I’ve been there, it’s a good thing I bought some disinfecting wipes, cause it seems you’re on your own if you want a clean seat. Too bad they don’t deliver!

I consider myself a predictable person. I mean, I prefer Sam’s Club over Costco because of many reasons(for more details please refer to both reviews of Sam’s Club and Costco). To be consistent, does it mean I prefer Sam’s Club Café over Costco’s Food Court? NOPE. Why? 1) Once upon a time the clerk at Sam’s Club Café would ask you to show your Sam’s Club Membership card. Why would you do this? You need to show your membership card to get in the store — — what a waste of time for their staff! And assuming they’re selling their food for a profit, why would you turn down business? Stockholders of Walmart common stock should raise hell as their earnings will be affected!!! 2) The line moves very slow. There aren’t many staff working behind the counter so they are SLOW. 3) I pretty much come here for their awesome slush float but quite often the soft serve ice cream machine is BROKEN, like it was just the other day. AUWE!!! 4) Their sit down dining area is small. Yes, the food here is inexpensive so I shouldn’t be complaining but how often do I walk away from this place dissatisfied.
They have quite a bit of food here: pizza, crispy chicken sandwich, kalua pork sandwich, hot dog, baked chicken pocket, churro, soft pretzel, froyo, chili cheese dog, polish dog and even plate lunches(½ roast chicken plate or kalua pork plate both comes with mac salad)!!! I would have given this place 2-stars but it’s hard to forget the great days when I walk away from here with a HUGE slush float that costs less than $ 2.

What’s the best way to keep our 3 year olds occupied on a trip to buy groceries? Give them an Icee and a churro. What’s the best way to keep a teenager and his grandfather occupied on the same trip to buy groceries? Give them a Nathan’s hot dog and giant soda. Grand total for all of the above? About $ 10. Thank you Sam’s Club Café for helping us maintain sanity in our lives.

Most of you have heard of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. If you didn’t know, Hawaii Regional Cuisine is a culinary movement that creatively blends Hawaii’s diverse ethic foods into a cuisine with flavors from all over the world. What this blending does is create dishes that have that distinctly«Made in Hawaii» flavor. In order to become a Hawaii Regional Cuisine chef, you have to throw away your Julia Childs, «The Way to Cook» book and start thinking outside the box. You have to be unafraid to take one thing from here and blend it into something from there. You have to have tough and have thick skin to become a Hawaii Regional Cuisine chef; because there are people out there that will laugh when they see your finished dishes or read your recipes. To put it bluntly, you got to be able to take a hard kick to the balls. After many years of training and suffering I can now call myself a real HAWAIIREGIONALCUISINECHEF. Maybe not as well known as Roy Yamaguchi, Alan Wong, Sam Choy or George Mavrothalassitis… but no doubt about it. I AM A HAWAIIREGIONALCUISINECHEF and my star is rising. My specialty is the region between Keeaumoku and Piikoi. Let me share with you few of my Hawaii Regional(Makiki Area) Cuisine original recipes. McSam’s Chili Cheese Dog and Fries Instructions: Stop by McDonald’s(Keeaumoku) and pickup a small fries($ 1.29). McDonald’s make the best French fries in town. Go to Sam’s Club Café and order a Chili Cheese Dog($ 1.98). Sam’s uses Nathan’s hot dogs. Cut dog into ½″ lengths with a plastic knife from the Sam’s utensil counter. Neatly cover the chili, cheese and dog with the crispy McDonald’s fries. Total cost is $ 3.27 + tax. Very filling and totally worth it. Enjoy! Sam’sWay Fruit and 4 Berry Yogurt Trifle Instructions: Go to the Safeway(on the corner of Piikoi and Bertania) and buy their Grapeful Melon Salad($ 9.99). Go to Sam’s Club Café and order a 4 Berry Yogurt Cup($ 1.89). Go home and scoop the 4 Berry Yogurt on top of the strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, kiwi and grapes of the salad. Place in freezer for thirty minutes and serve. Enough dessert for two to four people… all for $ 11.88 + tax. Enjoy! Some other of my other Hawaii Regional(Makiki Area) Cuisine recipes: Sammy’s Kalua Pork Taco Instructions: Go to Sam’s Club and get the Kalua Pork Sandwich($ 2.98). Go to Taco Bell(on the makai side of Beretania, just before Piikoi) and get two crunchy tacos($ 1.09/ea.). Remove the cheese and lettuce. Leave in the ground beef and pack in kalua pork from the Sam’s Club Café sandwich, into the taco shell. There should be enough pork to fill two taco and still have enough kalua pork for a small sandwich. Sprinkle some of the cheese and lettuce on the top of the pork. You end up with two crispy kalua/beef tacos and a thin kalua pork sandwich for $ 5.16 + tax. Enjoy! Sam’s Kalua Pork Nachos Cheese Doritos Instructions: Go to 7 – 11(on Piikoi) and buy one 1.75 ounce package of Nachos Cheese Doritos($ 1.59). Go to Sam’s Club and get the Kalua Pork Sandwich($ 2.98). Open the face and cover the kalua pork with one thick layer of Doritos(about six Dorito chips). Snack on the rest of the Doritos. Enjoy! For me, becoming a Hawaii Regional(Makiki Area) Cuisine chef was very gratifying. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Anyone can be a Hawaii Regional Cuisine chef. I want you to know there are opportunities for you to become the Hawaii Regional Cuisine chef in the University, McCully, Ala Moana and Kakaako areas. Go for it and don’t be afraid to share your recipes. But just in case; always remember to protect your balls. P. S. You need to be a Sam’s Club Member to get to the Sam’s Club Café. Become a Sam’s Club member if your dream is to be a Hawaii Regional(University, McCully, Ala Moana and Kakaako Area) Cuisine chef like Roy, Alan, Sam, George and me. It is totally worth it!

Mega deals abound at this café! Where else can you get a hot dog and a soda for only $ 1.50?! Perhaps at Costco, but I come here instead. This place is so much closer to my house. This place is definitely a guilty pleasure as everything is very cheap. Be prepared to stand in long lines during peak times. Everyone loves a good deal. The food here is mostly unhealthy. Pizza, hot dogs, and ice cream are not ideal foods if you’re trying to be healthy. There are some healthy choices though with salads and chicken and rice plates. One of my favorites is the chicken and rice plate. For only about $ 6 you get half a rotisserie chicken, potato salad, and a couple scoops of rice. It is so much food and it is so cheap
