Literally ½ the price of Nordstrom! I found this place on accident when looking for Christmas presents, ended up getting something for my mom and girlfriend. They threw in a free pair of earrings, thanks so much guys!

I just looked at the shoe shelf in my closet and realized that almost every shoe I own — except my gym shoes — was purchased at The Shoe Box! I have boxes of Damiani, Naturalizer, Italian, Callisto, and Athena Alexander shoes, and usually the same style in at least two colors. The convenient location, reasonable prices($ 19 and upwards, typically in the $ 45-$ 59 range), and variety of styles make this an ideal place to shop for the working girl, hmm… let me rephrase… make that«business professional woman.» If you work in downtown, you have probably already stopped by on your lunch break to chat with the owner while she helps you navigate the myriad of boxes to find the right size for you. She does buying trips several times a year and brings back the latest styles. If you’re a common size, you may have to wrestle with another customer for the shoe, so the best thing is to ask the owner when the new styles are coming in and plan accordingly. Have fun!

Centrally located in the ground floor of the Arcade Building in downtown Honolulu you will find the Shoe Box. Same building as Subway that fronts South King Street. It is a shoe store that specializes for the working women especially for those with small feet in brand names like Athena Alexander, Callisto and Italian Shoemaker. I like that they provide a wide variety of styles, colors, sizes, low heels as well as high heels and prices are affordable. The owner of the store is not only friendly but also very helpful and will assist you in finding the perfect shoe. I had one of those days where I was on my way to buy lunch when all of a sudden the strap on my left sandal broke. It was a fairly new style of Callisto and I had bought it at Macy’s or it could have been Nordstrom. Desperately seeking for a shoe to take its place I thought of the Shoe Box which surprisingly was not far away from where I was. I popped in and explained my situation to the owner and she found me a great pair of Italian Shoemaker shoes for $ 50. I wore the shoe the remainder of the work day and encountered no blisters, no sore feet and actually since the shoe was light it was very comfortable on my feet. If you are ever in the downtown area I recommend you check this place out.
