Simply Organized

Simply Organized is a great store situated right inside of Kahala Mall. They are next to See’s Candy and Longs Drugs. I think they have only been at this location for about 2 years, but I wish I had them for much longer!
The name of the store is pretty self explanatory. They offer many options for office and home spaces. They have you covered with containers, dividers, hangers etc. The list goes on and on.
I have gone into the store recently because my roommate and I have been organizing our apartment. I grabbed some of the boxes that are right in the front for our closet. They are always well priced and easy to use. I haven’t purchased anything else from here, but may in the future.

Cool store. If you love to be organized and like gadgets this is a great store to visit. Many items I have seen in other stores as well like Lowes, Home Depot and other hardware stores but there are also many unique gadgets you will probably not find elsewhere. You need to take time to look through all aisles and shelves as many treasures await you. Of course many items are not a need but a want once you see it. Take time to check it out as I am sure you will find something you just have to have or want!

I don’t usually use Unilocal to rate retail stores but felt the need to with this particular location. Granted the products are entirely useful for household/​office organization and that’s where the two stars come in, however the customer service here is ENTIRELY LACKING and ATROCIOUS (that’s right I said it)!
I was browsing for over 40 minutes until I was asked if I needed assistance, which I kindly declined because by that time I had mentally mapped the store from front to back (the store isn’t that big people and there are more than two of you on the sales floor, how hard is this job really).
At the check out counter I notice there are two registers being manned with one customer being assisted. I stand behind the lady being helped and look directly at the second cashiers face as she stairs at me with a blank expression. After a couple of minutes in la la land she miraculously wakes from her Disneyland daydream and says «are you ready?» (No I was just standing here waiting for the second coming of Christ). Politely I say «yes» and proceed to her counter. Right before the end of the checkout process she asks «do you have a bag?» and I immediately want to shoot myself in the foot for forgetting about the plastic bag ban. No matter! I remember bringing a reusable shopping bag in my trunk for just such an occasion and I’m parked right outside. After paying, I tell the cashier «Would it be ok if I just run to my car real quick and grab my reusable bag?», and here’s the clincher… She states «uhh, you can totally just carry it all by hand it shouldn’t be to hard» (7 items that consist of large plastic drawer organizers mixed with office folder stuff and a wall décor, mind you I just spent $ 85 at your store). I look at her with that ‘did you really just say that’ look, and she gives me the nobody’s home smile. I bite my lip and remember there are children dying somewhere in some foreign country that will never even know this chain of overly priced plastic goods even exists. I precariously grab my things and and give her the «thank you so much for your crappy service» smile. Now I’m sitting in my car writing this review! I think I deserve some Mochi Ice Cream from Bubbies for my good deed today! Happy shopping beaches!

Simply Organized is a great store and I’m so glad they have a location on the East side (they also have a location in Kapolei, no thank you). Every time I go in this store, it takes soooo much energy to not drop a few bills and get things I didn’t even know was missing in my life. This is my candystore. My husband hates when I enter Simply Organized, not because I’m going to spend his (err. our) hard-​earned money… but because even he will find things to buy for our home.
Bonus — All employees that I passed, or passed us, asked if we needed help/​assistance with anything. We wanted 5 mesh bags that were out of stock, they took our name/​number and called us a few days later when the items came in. We picked it up the same day they called. Fantastic customer service!
One of my favorite stores back home in Cali was The Container Store. Simply Organized is the closest thing to it in Hawaii. I agree with other reviews that it is pricey, but I’ve noticed that about everything in Hawaii. So, that aside… I love it here. Just look at the pics… there are so many cute and FUNctional items here.

Hidden among loads of things you’ll feel you absolutely HAVE to have, and commit too much time and money into over organizing are some items that are indeed useful. Best to go in with a list or you might leave with something like a bread loaf shaped plastic box that is somehow supposed to be more organized than the plastic bag bread already comes in.

I love this store, but I don’t think I’ll ever buy anything here. Its pretty expensive for anything in here. I would rather go to Target or Walmart for the stuff that they sell in here. Workers are always MIA, never did I once see one walking around.

This is a pretty cool store with some very neat things. I think there are way too many employees here though.

Need to get organized? You’ve just landed in a gold mine! From chompy fish shaped bag clips to giant closet organizers, you can find practically anything your heart desires.
I went here with my mom and my niece, three generations of clothes hoarders. We were on a mission to find a sturdy, yet aesthetically pleasing stand-​alone clothes rack. We soon learned that this store carries a wide array of items, from inexpensive to ‘it’s-how-much?!‘
My niece was quickly distracted by all the fun, quirky trinkets at the front of the store: clips, bags, magnets, tooth brush covers shaped like owls, and a whole array of colorful odds and ends. Every so often, my mom and I would look back and find my niece playing with some new gadget. Half way through the store, we located the closet organizers. From dinky, wobbly $ 20 versions, to sturdy, canvas covered ones for $ 130. None of them were quite what my mom was looking for, so we moved on to browse the shelves for anything that caught our eyes. I mostly played hide-​and-​seek with my niece since every price tag was higher than I’d liked to pay.
In the end, we walked out with a blue rhinestone-​encrusted coin case organizer thingy for my niece that was under $ 10. She loved it, so it didn’t make the outing a bust. But I think I’d be content finding deals at other stores or even going thrifting.

As many have said, Simply Organized is HEAVEN for people who are one, in love with being organized and neat, and two, cool gadget lovers!
I find so many cool stuff here and want to reorganize my entire apartment! However, things are pricey here! I really wanted a shelving set up for my closet but it was $ 20 cheaper on Amazon for the same brand/​item! I’m usually an «I want it now» type of person but if it’ll save me 20 bucks (+ free shipping, by the way) I can wait.
I did leave with some cool pins to pin up pictures but it was in the clearance section! :)

I attended a FREE seminar at Simply Organized this morning… it was Cynthia Arnold talking about downsizing and decluttering… Definitely worth getting up early and heading into Simply Organized for the seminar…
Lots of good information and suggestions for getting organized and of course you’re right there at the store to get what you need… They don’t push things on you… just let you know it’s available… and boy do they have lots of really cute things… it’s just getting better and better.
Thank you Simply Organized for the hosting the seminar! Can’t wait to attend more (they even gave us a little goodie bag with some great items… and they had a drawing for all who attended.

I am organized and a neat freak. I love just stepping into Simply Organized because it’s so organized in there!
The only thing is the price. I see many of the same exact items at Ross, Macy’s, Target, Wallmart, and City Mill for MUCH CHEAPER.
It’s very convenient since I live right by Kahala Mall and it’s nice to just stop by and pick up something you need on the way home from shopping, so I do occasionally shop there. However, I do my best in avoiding buying anything since I know I can find it elsewhere for a better price.

Just the name alone I’d give them a star. It’s something I’m constantly striving for… to be organized… in the simplest way possible.
I am secretly an OCD by heart… like the character Monica from «Friends». If they start selling containers to store your containers… sadly I’d probably buy it. HOWEVER… I repeat HOWEVER… I must be DCO… a dyslexic OCD because even though in my brain I’m like Monica… in real life I’m a little bit of Monica and a little bit of those people on the show «Hoarders». Some parts of my house are pretty organized… other parts ugh let’s just say is borderline «Clean House» show worthy.
Every time I walk into a store like Simply Organized, I admit I get a slight high and a tiny wave of peacefulness overcomes me. My hubby for some strange reason is the opposite and gets dry throat and slight nausea. Probably because he’s envisioning me spending all of his money on yet MORE containers/​organizational doo dads.
Does anyone else have an obsession with those OXO Pop Airtight Food Storage Containers? (See link for pic below).
They are the best storage containers in the world! Too bad they are slightly ridiculously expensive for a container. I will however purchase one to add to my collection when I am lucky to come across a coupon from Simply Organized.
This brings me to why I am only giving them 4 out of 5 stars. They have a great selection of organizational products to make someone as «Monica-​ish» like me very happy. Their employees are friendly and plentiful! You can almost always find one a few steps away if you need assistance. Sadly, it’s their prices where they fall short. Sure I understand products like my obsession above (OXO food containers) are an expensive product no matter where you purchase it. On the other hand there has been quite a few products that I’ve found at either Walmart, Target or Amazon that are the same brand/​item for less. With that said, I still think Simply Organized has many items that I have not seen at any other stores here on the island. So I will still continue to come here (quite frequently I might add) to shop.
BIG TIP: Sign up for their emails! There’s a little machine near the register that you can type in your info to sign up for free. Within a couple of days of signing up you will receive an email with a 20% off of 1 item. USE IT! Or at least give it to me so I can add another OXO Storage Container. ha ha.

Came here with a friend of mine. I was suddenly attracted because of the name. Simply organized? Yes! We went inside and we found a ton of cute office/​home supplies. Lots of colors and shapes of different items to choose from. Pencil holders, boxes, lunch pales, clips, ect. Everything in this store is exactly what you’d expect. Organization for your thoughts.
Only thing is. It’s a bit expensive. Check it out for yourself though. There’s one in Kapolei too I believe.

Great selection of items. Love this store even more when they have their coupon that comes periodically in the mail. Love their organization items. Very helpful staff. One of my favorite stores to visit at Kahala Mall.

A store DEVOTED to selling items to help make your life more organized? This is my utopia. I LOVE organizational items, so this store to me is like Toy R Us is to a kid.
They have a wide variety of items that can be used to organize your purse, your closet, your kitchen, etc. The hard part for me is not buying everything in sight! One of my new finds is this product that helps you to uniformly fold your clothes (think those plastic boards that associates use to fold shirts in retail stores). The expression on my face must have been priceless (and I may have said something like, «Oh! They have it! OMG!) because a sales associate looked and smiled at me like she completely understood why I was so excited at my discovery.
I also found, a few months ago, their cool food containers. They have one that is meant for salad. Why is it cool? You have a deep, square-​ish container to hold your salad ingredients. Then, you place this sub-​cover over that; the sub-​cover has a small container in the middle that you keep the salad dressing in. You can twist this container and it dispenses the salad dressing and you can shake the container to mix the dressing with the salad. They have a similar container for cereal too (to keep your cereal and milk separate).
The sales associates are always welcoming (with a hello or hi as soon as I walk in) and are helpful in finding items in the store (since they have SO much things to look at).
The only bad thing about this store is that the items can be rather pricey.

DAMN YOU, SIMPLY ORGANIZED!
I hate this store. HATE IT!
Every time I walk into this store, I find more solutions to storage problems I never knew I had. Here I thought my spices were just fine in the containers they came in, but I was wrong. Why keep them in the manufacturers containers when you can put them in containers with magnets on the bottom so they can stick to your refrigerator or the side of your stove.
This time, i went in looking specifically for a container to hold my coffee beans and grinds. Thinking it was a quick trip for an 8 to 15 dollar item. Little did i realize, i was going to spend the next 45 minutes walking up and down each isle, before leaving $ 100 poorer.
Seriously. If you want to tidy up your kitchen, bathroom, closet or garage, Im sure they have something you can use. And if you’re not organizing or redecorating, take a lap around the store anyway and see what happens.
Damn you, simply organized… i’ll be back soon.

My boyfriend and I (like always) came in here to look around. maybe buy something we find that would be of some use but boy am I glad that I didn’t.
First of all. all of the workers standing by the door didn’t greet us or acknowledge us.(that really ticks me off). and its not like they didn’t see us. there was eye contact then the quick head turn. then. as we are looking around the store, no one comes to ask if we need help finding anything or have any questions. what were they doing? nothing. standing at the registers, walking around. i can count how many times a worker walked right past us and didn’t say a word. So of course you can understand the irritation I felt.
Aside from the TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, the items they have are very cool.
Lots of storage boxes. I mean. I thought I was fine just getting the big bins from walmart to hold all of my crap but boy was I wrong. they have bins for shoes. nail polish. tie racks. toy bins, trash cans. EVERYTHING!!! but the only thing is that its so expensive. well expensive in the sense that I’m just chang lol! no but in all seriousness. I wouldn’t spend $ 20 for something to hold my things valued at $ 10… dig?

My mom thinks that I need this store to get organized. Truth be told, she’s probably right. However, I don’t need Simply Organized, I just need a bigger house (spoken by a true hoarder right?).
I came here with my husband one day to find some shelves/​cabinets to store our Vinylmations (small Disney collectibles). Unfortunately, they had nothing that would help. However, we decided to browse the store in hopes of finding something or just to see what they had. It was hard to find employees that were able to help but I guess when you’re just browsing, it’s fine.
We ended up buying some clear plastic display boxes that were reasonably priced but everything else, I could find at Target for cheaper :(. I try to spread my shopping love around but my cheap side gets the better of me. Their clearance section was priced well but I didn’t find anything I needed. I didn’t want to add to my clutter by shopping at Simply Organized!
Anyway, I suggest shopping at Target first and then coming here if you can’t find it there…

Gotta love a store that has everything you need to organize your home and office, and then entices you to buy something completely, crazily, outrageously CUTE.
What I mean is, do I really need a trash receptacle that has a panda face? No. But, it’s soooo cute. And, I suppose it’s kinda fits in the organizing category since I do have to throw away my trash. As I wrestle with the decision, I realize I do not have the coupon I’ve been advised to use.
So, I wander through the aisles marveling at all the storage and organizing knick knacks for the kitchen, pantry, bedroom, bathroom, office, closet, under bed, over head, well, you name it, they have it. And, then some stuff you never realized you needed — ahem, a device that holds open the Ziplock bag so you can pour something in. Who knew? I wish I had invented that!
Since I hear the panda can calling to me, I’ll be back!

GET ORGANIZED! Simply Organized is OPEN and it couldn’t have come at a better time!
I was running out of time to find something for the teachers who work so hard with my children when I stumbled on SIMPLY ORGANIZED at Kahala Mall! Not only did I find stuff for the teachers, but I walked out with a whole bunch of stuff for us too!
LOCATION: Kahala Mall, next to Long’s/CVS, in the old Champs space
There’s pretty much everything you need to organize your life here. Organize your car, bathroom, office, kitchen, coffee K-​cups, laundry, garden, toys, clothes, underwear, jewelry, computer, electronics, cables, extension cords… I could go on and on and on.
If you’ve never gone to the Kapolei location, check this one out! Is it pricey? I think some things were. But there were a bunch of things I’ve never seen at real stores before (only online and in catalogs) and I needed something TODAY. Mission accomplished!
