Spa Royal Hawaiian

Love love love this spa! Everyone is super sweet and friendly. The therapists are very good, and they are flexible with late appointments. My boyfriend and I discovered this gem after dinner while passing by. It was a perfect ending to a long day of hikes and endless walking. We enjoyed it so much we came back twice in one week! If you’re staying in Honolulu/​Waikiki, make sure to check out this spa!

I was going to book a couples massage on the beach at our hotel. It was close to $ 450 at the spa. Didn’t want to spend that much! I Unilocaled it and found this delightful place for half the price. My husband and I had the Loki Loki massage. Best massage I’ve ever had!

Very good massage at reasonable price (get a coupon on Unilocal). They give you a feet soak accompanied by tea, take your pictures with Hawaiian instruments and are very nice in general. Highly recommended.

What is there not to like? Foot bath, beautiful décor, cool temperature, professional service, the right light music, clean, great massage. Very relaxing.

Awesome massage! We were able to get a couple massage reservation same day. The masseuse was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. We were given a free foot soak and hot tea which really started the massage off on the right foot. The masseuse got all the knots out of my back and really applied the pressure when I asked. Will be back next time in Honolulu.

Absolutely an awesome experience here. What’s great is, you pay a lot less than you would at any of the other hotels along the Waikiki strip, but get an awesome massage.
I came in on Labor Day, maybe 15 minutes after they opened. They were able to take me right then, and immediately got me changed into a robe and some comfy-​as-​hell sandals (seriously, where do I get some of these?). The girl who works the front desk (I feel bad that I never asked her name) takes you back and gives you a complimentary hot foot bath for 15 minutes, and you get a cup of really good tea to go with it.
The massage was from Aiko who does a great Lomi Lomi. She’ll a little on the abrupt side (meaning she tries to get you on the table as quick as possible, I believe so you can get the full time of massage in). Some may feel a bit «rushed» (again, NOT meaning the massage is shorter!) but I was there to get sore muscles worked out, not fo have a long, luxurious Swedish-​style massage, so I didn’t mind in the slightest.
Anywho, will be back here on my next trip to Waikiki.

My boyfriend and I got a couples massage here over the weekend. At first, I walked in and found it to be in a little bit of an odd location (it’s in a shopping center). However, once you go into the massage room, you cannot hear anything from the outside. They didn’t ask us to fill out any paper work which I found a little odd and unprofessional, as all the other places I have been ask you to do so. But we went with it anyway. They were very accommodating as I called last minute to make an appointment and they were able to take us an hour after I called. First off, they had us change into robes and soak our feet in a bowl of warm water. The water in my bowl was too hot, because I think my feet got sunburned that day. However, once I told them it was too hot they were very nice and got some cold water to add to the bowl. They cleaned our feet, which was very relaxing. They gave us some hot tea which was very nice and gave a nice touch to our visit. After soaking our feet they took us back to the room. At first the pressure of the massage was too much, but after I told the lady, she applied less pressure. After this I was able to enjoy and relax. The owner is very nice, and they are very accommodating. Give it a try, but keep your mind open to their process. Overall, our visit was very nice. I would go back again. If you do visit just make sure you are very clear about the kind of pressure you want as they do not ask you before the massage.

I was in Hawaii the week before my Birthday and decided to treat mylself to a nice local spa experience. According to Unilocal,the place opened at 10am so I arrive at the location at 10am. when I arrived, the door was locked and it appeared no one was there. I called the number listed and someone hung up on me. A minute later, my phone rang from the owner or another person from the spa and she said she was around the corner and would be there in a few minutes. Once she arrived she was able to fit me in immediately. She started with a footbath and some tea which was nice. Then she took me back for a massage and facial — the Queen package.
The massage was very nice and she said because I was so tight, she gave me extra time. Then she did the facial which was nice.
She was very friendly and seemed to know what she was doing in order to give a great message. The reason I gave her a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 is because a few hours after the massage my leg kept hurting me. I looked down and I had what appeared to be a burn or a deep bruise which resembles the size of hot stone she used during my message. I can’t say for certain this is where it came from but I don’t know how else I would have gotten this wound. It looks like the shape of the rock. I usually get deep tissue messages so I am used to some pain during messages. I think this is my I didn’t realize I was being injured versus getting nots out.

Came her during V-​day weekend. Wanted a last minute massage. Got in touch with the Spa Royal Hawaiian and they were very accommodating. The pre-​relaxing foot soak was great and the staff was just sweet. Great massages and the little things to go the extra mile were perfect. Would definitely come back here the next time in town.

After a long snowboarding trip and flight back to Hawaii, this place is heaven. Highly recommend!

We were on a weekend getaway and thought we’d finish off our trip with a nice couples massage. Service was excellent, décor was calming, and the hot stone massages we received got our knots out. Highly recommended!

I wish this Spa was back home in DC, if it was I would go once a week, hell maybe even twice. The owner is one of the nicest people I have ever met and her staff is just as pleasant.
Each and every time I have visited Spa Royal, I have left with a smile and a feeling of relaxation that I rarely feel. They literally have hit muscles that I did not think could be reached or made to feel better. In any case, this place is worth the visit if you are ever in Waikiki and if you dislike your time here I will pay you for your time there =p.

The staff at Spa Royal Hawaiian were great. While we were waiting they had us change into robes and soak our feet while we enjoy some tea. My mom and I did an hour facial and it was definitely worth it. Included in the facial you get a shoulder, arms, and legs massage. I usually don’t like massages because I’m very ticklish but i loved the massage here. It was perfect and felt so good and relaxing. We will definitely be returning.

I have been here a couple of times. The owner is amazing and the service is good too. The last time I went though, my back got so hurt that I ended up having to take a couple of days off work!!!
Also, after the massage, the masseuse immediately held up my robe for me to put on. Isn’t that strange? No time to relax, and I wasn’t wearing a top, and she just stood there waiting, looking at me, no privacy and holding that robe, to shoo me out. To her credit, they had let us make the appointment at the LAST minute, about two hours before the appointment! The massage was REALLY good in the moment but it really hurt afterwards, and I have to wonder if not being able to relax afterwards has something to do with it.
This might be the best in Waikiki if you don’t care about it not having a hot tub, sauna, and those amenities. But make sure they go gentle (we were BOTH really injured). The owner is amazing and she has very talented staff. It is worth the price and the extras they throw in are very nice. They do a great couples massage and they are very accommodating with fitting people in at the last minute. It is worth a try. Just don’t let them shoo you out, and make sure it isn’t too painful and you should really enjoy it!

I have had hundreds if not thousands of massages in my lifetime and the royal mix with Aiko was one of the very best. Perfect pressure and she is sweet as sugar. I also had the facial and her endurance and quality lasted the entire 2 hours. They also dont skimp on oil and product. The facial uses natural products from Switzerland. The owner, Julie, was also very gracious and started me off with a complimentary foot bath with salts, tea, water, robe, sloppers, foot massage and photos in Hawaiian garb. Overall, an exceptional experience. I feel so refreshed. Mahalo!!! :-) PS: a 20% tip is rolled into the price, but they earn it.

Spa Royal Hawaiian is the best new secret gem of a spa on Oahu. The location next to the tropical grounds of the Royal Hawaiian hotel as well as the beautiful spa ambiance add to the total experience. My husband said it was the best massage ever, and I had a luxurious facial like none other, including a hand, arm and neck massage. The owner, Julie showed me the Swiss product line they use called Alchimie. It contains rose, cucumber, blueberry and wild pansies which together brightens and moisturizes.
I understand the spa offers couples massages as well as whole family massages at a reasonable price. Everything is sparkling clean and first class. Enjoy their aloha spirit!

Very professional, clean and great service. This place seem to be new and all the staff in there were extremely polite and caring.
Not even once did we feel rushed up and nearly slept half way through…
The Japanese reception girl was sweet and was always with a smile in her face. Both the therapists (Julie and Jane?) were amazingly good and it was a great experience. Awesome customer service and all three staff that we interacted seemed well experienced and made us feel very special and welcome :-) *****

I and my husband had a couple massage today and it was best experience we ever had during entire honeymoon. I highly recommand all my friends and family members to visit this spa if u go to Waikiki.
Love great location, their cozy and comfy atmosphere and friendly service. This place made our pampering day extra special.

Having had many massages at the neighboring Royal Hawaiian Hotel’s Ahbasa Spa,
I can honestly say the 1 ½ hour massage at the new Spa Royal Hawaiian was
quite a bit better, and at nearly half the price! You must try it, I am certain you will
not be disappointed. (also, their massages are 60 and 90 minutes, not 50 and 70 minutes like many spa’s in Waikiki)
The atmosphere is very pleasant, QUIET, and relaxing. And the mostly Asian staff
are not only experts, but very friendly.
Oh, I almost forgot, you get a FREE 15 minute foot bath massage before your
treatment! :)

I came here once with my boyfriend and the service was amazing!!! the massage was really good as well. over all our experience there was great! defiantly coming back again
