Just to let all the regular and loyal customers of this CBTL location: They will be closing later this month =(Last day of operations is July 17. As a «thank you» to their customers, they are providing discount coupons for 10% off your purchase now thru their last day. I’ll definitely miss this neighborhood CBTL!

I usually get the Iced Southern Blend Black Tea. If they don’t have Southern Blend, I get the Apricot Iced Tea. Love it! Sometimes I want coffee and a simple mocha latte will do. Their lemon bars, azuki haupia desert(limited time) and granola with milk are my favorites! They are always great at customer service. The punch card is a plus. I’ve been a customer for years and absolutely love their service.

I work across the street so stop here almost everyday to get my coffee fix. Previously say a 6 months ago I would totally avoid this particular coffee place. I guess one of the baristas did not know what she was doing. EVerytime I ordered a latte it tasted burnt! It was horrible. Then one day I said what the hell let try it again. And lo and behold one the the best lattes I’ve ever had! Wow what a difference! The girls working here are super nice. As usually everyone on their lap tops even early in the morning! Little sitting area outside but beware there is a birds next right below one of the tables and the momma bird like to clean house periodically so your get birdly down fluff and grass falling on the head, so avoid that table hahaha. They have a frequent buyer stamper card for those of you who drink coffee everyday. Unlike starbucks you get a little something something for spending booku bucks on coffee.

This is my neighborhood coffee shop but I’d drive a ways to get to this little gem of a coffee shop. One or two trips here and they’ll greet you by name when you walk in the door and when drink or food is ready. I used to be a Starbucks regular and I’ll still go there in a pinch, but when I discovered how much better cbtl is, with each espresso shot packed and pulled by hand instead of an automatic machine, I was hooked. Iced coffee at cbtl is made with espresso shots, ice and a little water. Sbucks is brewed coffee over ice. No comparison to my tastebuds. They also have lots if good blended drinks and tea if that’s more to your taste. Food selection is good too. Pastries, sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, etc. My favorite is the Chicken caprese sandwich. I’ll make a special trip just for it. Make sure you get it to dine in and have them toast it. Crunchy baguette on the outside, melted cheese, pesto, onions, spinach, and chicken breast on the inside. Tasty.

Of the three main franchised coffee houses in Honolulu, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf makes the best coffee milkshake drinks. They call them Ice Blended drinks. They’re always tasty, creamy and smooth. At the other coffee houses, I have to ask them to double-blend the drinks to get them almost as creamy and smooth as Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s Ice Blended drinks. A few years back, I was getting an Ice Blended every morning. The baristas there knew my name and knew what I wanted. Then, I figured out that this every day habit might have something to do with my expanding waist band and shrinking checking account. So, I bought Mr. Coffee for the house and now only have an Ice Blended as an occasional treat. For a long time afterwards when I did stop in, the baristas would still remember me and ask me where I’d been. The staff has since turned over and now no one recognizes me as a former regular. However, the new baristas at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf are just as friendly and professional as their predecessors. And they still make awesome coffee milkshake drinks!

When I first heard of CBTL opening in my neighborhood, I was disappointed. I really wanted a Starbucks. All that changed as I began frequenting my friendly little CBTL. It was only a matter of time before the baristas knew my name and my preferred drink. Each time I visited I always got a warm and friendly smile. I enjoy the variety of drinks on the menu, especially since I don’t always like to drink coffee. The reason for this 5 star rating is the customer service that extends far beyond CBTL. I’ve been a huge fan of their seasonal flavors for a few years now, especially their Apple Tea and Winter Dream Tea. I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed them and it was painful whenever they’d run out and we’d have to wait days and sometimes weeks for another order. Jenny was a barista who did her student clinical work at my former place of employment. It was odd(but impressive nonetheless) to see my barista working on her career! On my last day of work at that place, Jenny wasn’t there… but she did leave a can of the hard to find when it’s not in season Apple Tea on my desk. She remembered I enjoyed that drink and now I got to enjoy it at home. I don’t think it gets any better than that.

I came here because I needed a place to study, and the library across the street doesn’t open till 12 on Thursdays! I figured, if I’m going to «pay» for parking somewhere to study, I might as well get a drink out of it. So I came to CBTL, and ordered myself a tropical passion iced tea. It came to almost $ 3, which I think is a bit pricey for an iced tea, but it was pretty good, and I think of it as «paying for parking.» This is a pretty humble location, nothing too fancy, the chairs aren’t really that comfortable for studying haha. No free wi-fi.

Very awesome! I thought my mom wanted a hot tea. She actually wanted an iced, I asked for a cup of ice. She ended up making a brand new drink for free! Just so my mom I could get it right!!! So nice she didn’t have to! I will go back for sure even tho hooked on Starbucks! Lol

It’s a fact that if there is a Coffee Bean around, I would never step into a Starbucks again. Not that I hate Starbucks, I just have preferences… The ultimate drink… Caramel Ice Blended Extreme. I am positive that if Chuck Norris walked into Coffee Bean, this is what he’d order… then he’d roundhouse kick everyone to Maui, which aint a bad thing y’all!

Another fun coffee shop we don’t have in Chicago. I didn’t sample any of the coffee, but I did have the Moroccan Mint Tea Latte which was amazing. I think they put cocoa in it and it swirls in your mouth like a mint chocolate masterpiece. Wish we had one back home.

I tried two things here for the first time and was just blown away! So first off, the Pure Dark Chocolate Ice Blended with Soy Milk. It was delicious :) Not too chocolaty to the point of overdoing but juuussst right. Then I had a sample of one dessert and fell in love! It was the Lilikoi Bar. OMG! Best bar ever! A lot of dessert bars like this one, with the layer of fruit goodness, can be at times overwhelming and then you don’t wanna finish it. But this… this was superb that I needed to share with people just so they know how good it was. Will go back again!

I really like this Salt Lake Shopping Center location of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It’s awesome that it’s really close to a Safeway, Long’s, and gas station; 3 places I need to hit quite often. I hit those 3 and Coffee Bean in a single day, leaving me quite satisfied that I’ve accomplished some necessary stuff. I always get great service and the place is CLEAN. Seems like they always have samples ready to consume.
