Excellent service. I’ve had a different person every time and all of them are super personable and great at their jobs. I usually just get a lip and brow wax – they always clean up just the right amount.

I love the waxing co! I haven’t gone anywhere else for the past year for my eyebrows. Madoka is the greatest! She is so personable and puts you at ease. Not to mention she does a great job at shaping my brows and giving me what I ask for. I can relate to her so much and she’s always so friendly. I highly recommend her! make sure to book in advance as spaces do fill up quick.
I’ve also seen Janelle who is also personable and great at what she does. She taught me how to fill my brows in the right way! She’s great.
I’ve seen Rachel once, not sure if it’s because I didn’t talk, but for the most part it was a quick session in and out for my brows. I like the shape that she gave me but my brows were on the thinner side after. Nothing some powder can’t fix until they grow back.
All in all, all the girls do a great job and you’ll be in good hands!

What a great place to get your eyebrows done! Nice and neat place. Wonderful tea was offered when we arrived! I had Madoka do my eyebrows. She did a perfect job on my eyebrows! I am so happy and will always return to see her!

This review is strictly for Janelle! I have been seeing Janelle for my brows for over 2 years and I don’t trust anyone but her with them! She takes pride in her work and my eyebrows always look amazing, even in between appointments.
She does fill up quickly, so be sure to make an appointment if you are seeing her.

The girls here are so awesome! I’ve been seen by Rachel and Mahina for waxing, and they are so great. They not only make you feel comfortable but by the end of your visit, it’s like you’ve known them for years.
I had never had a wax before, and was extremely nervous about my first appt. But it was great (: Like I said, the girls are so welcoming and sweet! I drive from Mililani to town for them, they’re that awesome!

I have been going to The Waxing Co for years now and I am always so pleased with the variety of services offered. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating and makes you feel so welcome. The store is always very clean and bright and they use the best waxing products for all skin types. All of the esthetician’s are very professional, but Janelle really is the best! She is seriously like my brow goddess and therapist! I enjoy every appointment with her and will only see her since she does such an amazing job every time! She makes an awkward Brazilian situation, pleasant and not weird at all. I’ve never had any skin issues with the wax and they never double dip! I’ve been going here for maybe 3 years already! I love how clean the shop is. I’ve tried various aestheticians – all wonderful – but my no. 1 go-​to is Janelle! She is fun to talk to, very professional, and makes you feel at ease. I’ve recommended my friends to her and they say the same. If she goes on vacation – I do trust the others and I’ve never had a negative experience. Yes, it’s pricier than other locations but you do get what you pay for and I wouldn’t skimp on something important such as «down there».

Waxing. Threading. Shaping. These words never crossed my mind outside of my trusty Revlon tweezers in all their plucking glory. After all, they helped me to achieve the rainbow look in high school and the ultra thin look in college. Memories.
Somewhere along the line, I accidentally plucked one hair too many from my right brow and it never looked quite right again. For years, I did what every girl (who doesn’t fill) with a weird right brow does: hide it under bangs, take pics from the opposite angle and don’t hold eye contact for more than 5 seconds. Okay, maybe more like 3.
I finally decided to let my brows grow at the expense of looking like a hot mess, unkempt and pretending I didn’t notice the waitresses staring at this abomination of hairs struggling to grow in called my brows. I told my cousin’s girlfriend, Jo, that I wasn’t sure what I was going to do next and that’s when she said the golden words: The Waxing Co. In her twenty-​something fashion, she raved about how they made her brows on fleek and how they could do the same for me. It sounded like an informercial in the making. After some reservation, I said, sure, or should I say «yaass» in her language.
I have to admit, I was extremely anxious and nervous before going in. Because wax. Because hot. Because what if they give me rainbow brows after I’d spent months growing in that patch of hair that never could? But all those worries were put to ease once I sat in that chair and met TJ. Warm, friendly and extremely polite, she took her time, explained every step and even filled them in at the end to show me the possibilities. I didn’t know my brows could even hold shape naturally until yesterday. This girl is a magician.
In addition to TJ’s excellent service, The Waxing Co. is extremely clean, welcoming and professional across the board. (They also get bonus points for playing R&B music and serving complimentary tea.)

I came in for the first time a week ago. I was in desperate need of a wax and called about 30 minutes in advance hoping they could fit me in, and they did!
I was told they usually only wax by appointment but that there was a short opening and I could be seen. woohoo!
I wish i remembered the name of the girl who waxed me but i can’t unfortunately. Anyhow, the salon is really bright and clean. There were a few nice couches and a coffee table to relax on, all the girls seemed really friendly and nice.
My girl was really professional and friendly, I would definitely come back again!

I was in desperate NEED of an eyebrow wax! I called several of places on Unilocal to see if I could get an appointment the following day and The Waxing Co did not let me down. When I arrived to my appt. I was greeted with tea. Not just any tea! A tropical sweet desert tea! I have never had this type of service provided to me at a waxing business. They are so organized with many people working. The place is very cute and CLEAN! Cleanliness is very important to me while getting my wax, but I ended up getting threaded instead. =) Threading is a ancient method of hair removal. It’ll probably hurt a little if it’s your first time, but threading is a lot less irritating to the skin than waxing. I can’t remember the lady that threaded my eyebrows name, but she sure knew what she was doing. Talk about eyebrows on fleek! Yass! They also had a package deal for eyebrows and lip ($ 30), you can’t beat that! Try to schedule an appt ahead of time though, they seem very busy.

I visited The Waxing Co a few months back in November 2015. This was my first wax on the island, so I knew it was going to be a bit more pricey than on the mainland, but WHOOO I was not ready when I saw the price. However, in this case, you definitely get what you pay for which is a pretty awesome waxing service.
I made a last minute, online reservation maybe a day or two before the wax, so the time slots were slim pickings because it’s a very busy waxing salon. When I arrived for the appointment, I was very pleased with the look of the salon and the kindness of the staff. I was asked if I needed to use the restroom, and when I said no I was quickly whisked away to a private room for my brazilian wax. The room had a great massage like chair to lay on and the room was quaintly decorated. I loved the privacy and comfort the room provided. The area where the hot wax was sitting looked very clean and tidy which is always a plus. She left the room to let me undress from the waist down, and gave me a small towel to cover the naughty bits with, until she came back for the service.
My esthetician was super sweet and tried to have a conversation with me while she was waxing me, but kept forgetting what we were talking about so she would ask the same questions on repeat. This really wasnt a big deal to me because she was REALLY having to focus to get my strawberry-​blondish hairs. Seriously, it’s a task to clean up the kitty when you can barely see the hairs. She used strip wax in very small areas at a time. This was great because it made the process nearly painless becasue of the tiny surface area being waxed at a time, but my service took AN HOUR. You read that right, it took an hour for a brazilian wax. I nearly fell asleep, my driver actually did fall asleep, and eventually sent a text to make sure I was still alive. This was the only drawback of the service here. I imagine my esthetician may have been new she was taking her time and being more attentive so it took longer.
All in all, I left with a great, throrough wax, and very little pain or redness which was fabulous. Only because of cost, and time would I, personally, look for another waxing salon.

Been a loyal customer for 5 years, since I moved back from the Bay Area. I’ve been with a couple different gals. The first one had to quit due to some rules in the industry but she was an amazing threader. I went to her consistently for brows and sideburns.
Now, I see Rachel. Her hours are limited but I am ruggedly determined to always make my schedule work so I can see her at least once every 4 – 8 weeks (depending how crappy my schedule is). I see her for brows and sideburns and she is friendly and detail-​oriented. I have NEVER encountered a more detail-​oriented aesthetician in my life. She spends a good amount of time making sure my brows are 100% awesome-​possum!!! I highly recommend her and the Waxing Co.

I’ve bee going here for years! It’s amazing! Super clean, professional, and almost nearly painless. They also have amazing peach tea and honey which is so delicious.
For waxing they offer Brazilian and Brazilian maintenance (if 2^nd service before 5 weeks). Also they do have soft and hard wax, hard wax is good if you are really sensitive to pain although you have to suggest it since is takes a bit longer to dry, they usually don’t do it. Also after the pull the strip, they apply pressure which really helps the pain. Not a lot of people do that! All the girls are very warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. The all seem very happy. :)

Sooo… I’m finally doing my review after my numerous visits here at The Waxing Co. I totally LOVE this place! Most importantly… Mahina IS THE BOMB She has always taken care of me, especially in those ‘I need to get in yesterday appts’ Because I live literally 5 minutes away, Mahina will take time to text me if she has any cancellations. Such a personal touch.
The Waxing Co is sooo easy to find… in the McCully Shopping Center. Parking is a breeze… I always find a spot right in feont of the doors. When you walk in, the smooth jams in the background just sets the mood… chill and relax. After check-​in, yoy are offered cold water or tea while you wait for your estetician. Nice comfy couch with a clean and bright reception/​waiting area.
Mahina meets me in the front with a hugs and kisses, then walks me to her private room towards the back. I lay on the table and the threading begins! Threading is the only way I maintain my brows and yeesss… my upper lip. Finishing off with a little sculpting and tweezing. Then I’m all done… whole appointment about 10 minutes.

I cannot explain to you… how happy and RELIEVED I am to have found The Waxing Co. I moved from the west side to town almost 5 years ago and up until today, I hadn’t found my go-​to waxing place. Good things come to those who wait I guess, because I think The Waxing Co. is now my place to go.

1. Reservation System– The reservation system is amazing. As many of us know, with a busy schedule it’s sometimes hard to call someplace and give them our whole list of available time slots and dates and figuring out how long certain services will take, etc. Alas, with The Waxing Co.‘s online system you can figure that all out at your own speed and no pressure haha. You can select your date, time, and who you want to see without actually speaking to someone! Then, the day before they text you a reminder. Easy.
I saw Madoka on my first visit; I hadn’t requested her or anything, since it was my first time I just went with anyone. Madoka is SO sweet and took her time during the service. I went back to her a second time last week and already e-​booked for December. Also, shout out to Val (or Valerie) who works at the front desk. She is super professional and nice (she was there both times I went) and she complimented me on my nails and we talked like we knew each other: p

I love this place. I will probably never go anywhere again. I’ll start by saying I’m super chang when it comes to getting my brows done. I fill mine in so for me, it’s as long as they’re clean I can make a shape. I usually will just get them done while I’m at a nail place & I must say, you definitely get what you pay for. I have never spent $ 20 on my brows before, but this place is the whole package.
I came in on a Friday night about a half an hour before they closed. I had a first date that night & had procrastinated with getting my brows done, shocker. I walk in & they asked if I had an appt & I said no… The brow gods were watching over me because jenelle (I hope I spelled that right) had a no show so she was available. I’m a hairstylist so I know that feeling of disappointment when a rando walks in as you’re about to leave, but she was so chill about it. We talked about my date, we talked about her job, my job, life. She was fantastic. I have never had a pain free wax until that day.
I already have my next appointment set up (she even accommodated the time I needed for the next one)
Come here. I promise. The extra few dollars is totally worth it.

First and foremost, I just want to say that this is a positive review of the Waxing Co. :)
The first couple times I came here, I seen Madoka and she was AMAZING! She really took interest to how I wanted my eyebrows. I told her I would like them as full as possible with an arch. And she worked her magic! I loved that she ALWAYS gave them a nice shape and never went too thin.
One day, I decided to try another person at the Waxing Co because I was going out that night and wanted my eyebrows cleaned up. I thought it would be okay. I told the girl, that I wanted her to keep them as full as possible and with an arch. She took longer than Madoka does and I just felt like she was trimming away! And sure enough! When she was done, my eyebrows were so thin and I didn’t like it at all!!! I was really disappointed at the end of that visit. At the register, the girl asked me how everything went and I said ‘okay’ because I didn’t wanna hurt the estheticians feelings (I know I should have said something but I didn’t want it to come out wrong. So I kept it to myself). Later that day, I called back to reschedule an appointment with Madoka 3 weeks later because my eyebrows needed some help. :’(
Just the other day, I seen Madoka and told her what happened. She was very apologetic for the previous service I had. I asked her to again, keep as much hair as possible with an arch. AND SHE WORKED HER MAGIC! FINALLY, my eyebrows had shape again and they looked so much better! She really is a great esthetician! At the end of the visit, she told me that she was going to comp this visit because I wasn’t satisfied with my previous visit. And that I should always let the esthetician know if I wasn’t happy with the service. I felt really bad that she comp’d a service that she did a fabulous job on! But I was really appreciative and told her how thankful I was:)
Overall, the Waxing Co takes pride in their work and really cares about their customers satisfaction. The facility is clean, staff is friendly, and although I had one bad visit, I will definitely be back for Madoka:)

Love them!!! I want THICK brows everyone I have gone to makes me look like my aunties and I have to grow out my brows. Not here they listen and give you exactly what you want, and they are clean, friendly and I can’t wait to go back!

I finally found my go to eyebrow place and I couldn’t be happier! I moved here to Oahu from Maui 2 years ago and I was so sad that I wouldn’t be able to go to my regular eyebrow esthetician anymore since I’ve been seeing her for years :(Since my move, I have been getting by with just tweezing my eyebrows and waxing them with Nads waxing strips from the drugstore because I was afraid to trust anyone with them. I’ve gotten tired from doing them on my own because I felt like I ruined my shape and over plucked a little, so I decided to hunt for a waxing place here in Honolulu.
After searching on Unilocal,I came across The Waxing Co. My first appointment was about a month ago. I called The Waxing Co in the morning around 10am and there was an appointment available with Danah later that afternoon so I took it. She notified me that Danah charges $ 22 for brows and made sure that was ok with me. I thought it was pricey but I trusted the reviews here on Unilocal so I didn’t mind. I arrived 10 minutes early and the receptionist greeted me when I walked in and offered me water or tea which I thought was nice. Since it was my first time there, I filled out some paperwork. This place is neat and clean with some pretty comfortable couches and air conditioning!
My appointment started right on time. Danah introduced herself and she is so sweet! Before we got started, we talked about what I was looking for as far as how thick or thin I wanted my brows, how high I wanted my arch, etc etc. I told her that I liked my left brow more and wanted my right brow to look more like it because I have more sparse areas on the right brow. She handed me a mirror and showed me where she would wax and trim. I truly felt like she cared about my wants which I appreciate. She was so gentle with the waxing process. The wax wasn’t too hot and it didn’t leave any sensitivity or redness after. She told me she was going to thread around my brows for the smaller hairs and I was a little nervous because I’ve never gotten threaded before but it’s not all that bad! When we were done, she again handed me the mirror and showed me the finished look and I LOVED it! She told me where to fill in my brows and even did them for me with some brow powder! She gave me some advice and tips to maintain them until I come back again :)
Today was my second appointment with Danah and she’s done another awesome job! I called a little over two weeks ago to schedule for sooner but I learned that Danah is only there a few days out of the week and books up really quickly, so I made sure to book my next visit in 3 weeks before I left today.
Danah is amazing and does beautiful work! The receptionist are so sweet as well. I have nothing to complain about here. Thank you The Waxing Co for the great service! xxxx

The best waxing service I’ve ever had! Ill caveat this statement with this – I’ve only been to 4 other ones my entire womanly life.
They impressed me as soon as I walked in: very clean, soft, floral, feminine interior. I made an appointment a few days prior (definitely book an appointment. You’d have to be really lucky to get a walk-​in). Walked in 15 min early, greeted with the choice of water or slightly sweet tea (huge plus). Heather greeted me and started waxing away. Not only is she so beautiful, but extremely sweet and her nonchalance makes you feel comfortable with whatever is going on down there. She talked to me the whole way through and was genuinely interested in what I had to say. She does everything so quickly, painlessly, and effortlessly. I wanted to tell her how great she was doing but I guess that would’ve been a little weird.
The best part of it all was her integrity. She told me I didn’t have too much going on down there so instead of a full Brazilian price she charged me the maintenance price. Almost $ 20 difference. There’s nothing I appreciate more than honesty in a business. It’s nice to know people aren’t always out to get you. I’m definitely coming back.
