Tree Climbing Hawaii

Worth every penny. My fiancée is a rock climber, but since moving to Hawaii he’s not been able to do much climbing. He mentioned being interested in learning a little more about tree climbing — so I signed him up for a day long course with Miles at Tree Climbing Hawaii. At first, my fiancée was skeptical. How much could there possibly be to it? What was some tree climbing guy going to teach him for 6 hours that he couldn’t figure out himself?
But after spending a day in the trees with Miles, my fiancée was impressed. Miles is passionate about what he does, conscious about protecting the environment he plays in, and an excellent teacher. He exposed my fiancée to new techniques, and introduced him to some great ideas and spots for spending time in the trees in a new and safe way.
We are looking forward to getting up there again soon — and for anyone thinking about trying this different and unique sport, go to the original source and definitely do it! It was definitely worth every penny.

One of the most exhilarating experiences I’ve had in a long time! I’m actually pretty scared of heights but Miles did a great job of coaching me on the basics of climbing, and how to take all the necessary precautions but still having fun. I went with two other people and we competed to see who could make it up first. Suffice it to say, but I had a clear weight disadvantage.
One note: Definitely take advantage and wear the gloves that are provided. I didn’t and I paid the price later.
Overall, I’d definitely do it again the next time I’m in Oahu!
