Tropic Horizon Images

Jeremy was amazing! I have professional pictures done several times a year for the family and our Hawaii pics were our favorite of all time. Jeremy drove out to Turtle Bay to meet us for the shoot and he was very kind and gracious. Of the 60 or so pictures that were taken, we have over 25 or so that are unbelievable! We are having the hardest time trying to pic 2 to hang up in the house. Seriously people, if you’re going to Oahu, you will not find a better photographer. I will undoubtedly use Jeremy and Tropic Horizon Images next year when we visit again. Thanks Jeremy!!!

After an internet search and reading some reviews, I contacted Tropical Horizons about taking some family portraits for my parent’s 50^th anniversary. We were a large group of 17 ranging in age from 7 to 70+. We met near our hotel at the beach and spent a little over an hour taking pictures. Stephanie and Ace were fabulous. They got us all posed in 3 different locations around the lagoon working with the sunset as well. Along with all 17 of us, they did sub-​family shots and any combination of people we could come up with. A few days later, Ace dropped off a cd of our pictures at our hotel, plus uploaded them to the web site. Very excited to have such lovely pictures!

I found Tropic Horizon through all the great Unilocal reviews like many others. Ace was amazing to work with and went the extra mile every step of the way. My fiancé and I wanted to do some nice couples pics while on vacation in Oahu, something casual since we weren’t on the island for very long. Ace really pulled through with great communication, beautiful photos, and super quick turnaround.
–Ace coordinated time and location with us and was great about responding to emails in a timely manner. We had originally scheduled a one hour shoot on Monday at sunset, but due to the weather, we had to reschedule. Ace was great at reaching out and flexible about rescheduling to the next day. The next day there was some awful traffic, and Ace was both great at providing his ETA, and again flexible and understanding when my fiancé and I arrived 20 mins after he did.
–The shoot was great! Ace is a professional, knows how to best capture the light at sunset and had great suggestions for poses as well as working with any ideas we had. He was also really easy to talk to. The photos turned out really beautiful and were all we hoped they would be.
–The quick turnaround was the really amazing part… photo shoot Tuesday evening, online proofs of touched up images later that night, and prints and flash drive with all images delivered Thursday evening (we had plans during the day). Unbelievable turnaround time. This is great for anyone who’s got a short stay on the island. Ace really delivers!
And I have to say that the shoot and images were all very reasonably priced. I did my research looking through a lot of photographers, and many will only give you a 30 minute shoot for this same price.
Ace was a pleasure to work with. He took quality images for us AND delivered the product amazingly quickly. Very reliable and very professional. Thanks so much, Ace!

Simply the best! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Ace during our photo shoot this week, it was one of the highlights of our trip! He is a very interesting, talented, down to earth kind of guy and I know we can all appreciate that. He went above and beyond to make sure that we had our prints beautifully edited before our last minute deadline… It was a spontaneous decision to have photos taken and he was available with short notice and had our prints within a few hours. I would recommend to anyone!

My husband and I were married on 3÷14÷14 at Hickam AFB. Fabulous day, precious moments, and beautiful weather were all captured by Ace and his team. Rewind two weeks prior to our wedding and find me, a stressed out, antithesis of Type A, bride-​to-​be whose terrible planning skills had led to tears, fears, and a near nervous breakdown. Having called and contacted several photography companies, unable and sometimes unwilling to meet my needs, it seemed hopeless that I would find a photographer who would be able to book my event and work with my budget. Just when all seemed lost, it happened. Low and behold I found an ad for Tropical Horizon Images. As soon as the call ended, I knew I’d found my photographer. I was put at ease by Ace’s professionalism and customer service. Almost immediately, he’d sent an email describing more than reasonable package options, military discounts, pose suggestions, and links to photo samples. Contact was clear, concise, and efficient all the way up to the event itself. He listened clearly and was able to get the shots we’d requested in addition to providing suggestions for shot options and video services via our last-​minute request. During the wedding itself, the team worked so efficiently– I’d often worried that we’d spend the whole wedding taking pictures, but Ace, Marina, and Jacob knew exactly what they were doing and made the whole process painless, professional, and just plain perfect. I can’t say enough about that. We got to enjoy our wedding and can continue to enjoy it over and over every time we see our phenomenal photos and our vivaciously sweet video. Fast forward post wedding: Ace had sent edited images ready to share, posted and shared link to photo, and completed video. Out of all the planning and process for the wedding, I’d have to say that this piece of our event was the easiest to work with and most valuable of all the services we used on our special day because of Ace and Tropic Horizon Images. Professional services, Reasonable Prices, Excellent Communication, Treasured memories captured Beautifully. Can’t ask for more!

My wife and I just got married in Oahu last Wednesday and were lucky enough to find Ace as our photographer. Not only was he very friendly and down to earth, he was extremely professional and accomodating. The whole day ran very smoothly and it was all thanks to Ace. He was able to give us a flash drive with all the photos two days later, before we left which was awesome! I don’t usually post reviews on Unilocal,but we were very satisfied customers so I felt I needed to share this with everyone! If you are in need of any type of photography do yourselves a favor and hire my man Ace!

My family and I visited Oahu Jan 2014 and used Ace at Tropical Horizons for a family photo shoot. He was a true professional. He was amazing with our 2 year old daughter. She was not a willing participant at all times and he was so nice and was still able to get great photos. The photos that we got are so beautiful. We loved the sunset pictures the best. I would definitely refer him to anyone for any occasion.

Upon reading reviews on Ace, we have decided to move forward on having him as our photographer for our honeymoon in Hawaii. Ace is a person that has a lot of experience with photography and it is not afraid to share all his knowledge with you. He will let you know the best places to shoot photos, angles, colors, poses etc. Be very specific with him and he will let you know the best pictures you can ask for. There were some pictures that didn’t come as nice, but, probably 90−95% were fine. Highly recommend!

My wife and I entrusted our 10 year wedding anniversary pictures to Ace and we were not disappointed. There really aren’t enough words to describe how great his professionalism and service were. Ace was very down-​to-​earth and extremely personable throughout our encounters, and we always felt like we were in good hands. We were very impressed with the quality of the pictures and creativity of his shot selections. He even went out of his way to drive us to our next destination to ensure that we made a scheduled tour stop on time. Should we have the opportunity to visit Hawaii again, I am absolutely sure that we will enlist his services again.

Ace truly captured a very special day for myself and my fiancé! I hadn’t even realized Ace had followed us, so it was a total surprise when he was right there, snapping pics of my boyfriend on one knee.
He photographed our true reactions and gave us great direction on background angles and positioning.
The pictures turned out great and after seeing them, my mom said «wow, I feel like I was actually there!».

I saw Ace’s reviews on Unilocal and contacted him to help me set up and take photos of my surprise proposal at sunset on Sandy Beach. Ace communicated through text flawlessly with me and helped to keep it a complete surprise even with a last minute location change! The photographs he took were excellent and captured the moment from many stellar angles. He sent us some photos right away already sized to share with family, friends, and social media. He was happy to get down and dirty in the sand and surf to create memories we will cherish our whole life.

My family decided to do family photos while vacationing in Hawaii for my sister in law 20 year anniversary with her husband. And my fiancé and I wanted to give them a anniversary gift that they would love and remember. They loved the idea and the pictures and couldnt thank us enough for doing they photo shoot.

If you’re looking for a creative, fun and professional photographer, Ace is the right guy! He’s very patient, accommodating and super nice! I had great senior portrait pictures to choose from.

My fiancé and I had photos taken by Ace a few weeks ago while I was on vacation. Super accommodating, he did not mind meeting us at 0530 in the morning so we could have sunrise photos at the beach park where my fiancé proposed to me. I was so excited to have Ace take photos of us because I had seen his other work that I had failed to ask how much. Both of us are thrilled with the photos and very happy with the reasonable cost! Our wedding will have to be with Ace there!

Ace took photos in September for my daughter’s birth announcements when she was about 3 weeks old. Despite my being sleep-​deprived/​frazzled and overwhelmed at the time (oh wait, I still am!), he was able to work with my schedule and come out for an evening shoot. He managed to cram his equipment and lighting into our cluttered nursery AND get my daughter to cooperate for beautiful photos I still love to stare at. He was highly accommodating and easy to work with; I wish he had been available for my wedding instead of the photographers we ended up with… but that’s a whole other review I need to write!
