Sunday morning brunches, the great way to conclude a weekend. This week, we decided to try out Tucker and Bevvy. Went to check them out at 11:00 and there was only a tiny line! Yay! If there’s a line, be sure to put your name down and wait for it to be called. We were seated in less than ten mins. Service was really friendly and fast. Have you ever tried Vegimite? Want to try it? This is the place to try it, especially if you don’t want to buy a whole bottle. Some people love it and then some people don’t. It has a weird taste, but something to check out if you’re curious. Beside the Vegimite, you should try the Garlic and Chicken fried rice or the Roast Beef Hash. The fried rice was full of garlicky flavor. The chicken is soft and with the egg, winnaz. The roast beef was also really good. The beef was soft and tasty, but the potato could use more salt. But together, it’s perfect. With the parking spaces available behind of First Hawaiian bank, great service and food, I’ll be sure to come back.

Arrived early on a Wednesday when they just opened and had the place to ourselves, ordered Aussie breakfast and Roast Beef Hash and WAFFLES! Coffee was hot and plentiful, great service, but of course, we were the only ones there for about half an hour. Definitely going back. The Hash was a bit salty for our taste but otherwise put together really well, with bite-size chunks of beef, potatoes and onions. I liked my scrambled eggs and bacon, sauteed mushrooms on the side and broiled half tomato and the choice of bread, I went with sour dough.

Not much to say. All around the food was overpriced and tasteless. Can’t even say I’ve had better or worse as it literally was the food equivalent of water. Def will not come again. PS: The only bright mark was the service, the waitress was great.

I love breakfast food! And juice. One day after a run, my boyfriend and I decided to try this place out. I got the coconut pancake and sunrise juice. Both were delicious and I definitely would order them again. Only, I would have to ignore the fact that a pancake and juice are costing me $ 18. The pancake came with a coconut sauce and homemade granola and fruits — very good and filling, but still kind of steep at $ 10 for one pancake. There’s also kind of no real justification for a glass of juice being $ 8, even though it was maybe the best juice I’ve had… so if you’re like me and can ignore the bad feeling in your gut when you order a $ 10 pancake and $ 8 glass of juice, definitely check this place out. My BF had some kind of steak dish but I was too involved in my food to notice(he said he was happy with it, though). It also gets very busy so be ready to wait a bit.

Aloha! This is my 4th review. Please check out my others to get a feel for how I rate things. So, today, my family decided to check out this restaurant because a good friend recently went there. After looking at the menu, we were off to Kapahulu from the East side. We hadn’t been to Kapahulu since Hee Hing shut down. Or, did it shut down? See how LONG we haven’t gone there! Anyway, we waited later to go there to avoid the crowds. So, we arrived a couple minutes after 1:45 p.m. The website mentioned that it closed by 2:00. Therefore, our expectations were that we would be able to order by 2:00 p.m. Doesn’t all the other restaurants work that way? Apparently not Tucker and Brevvy! Anyway, you can imagine our disappointment when they said the kitchen was closed at 1:45 pm. Again, we got there at 1:47 pm. Wow! So, as fate would have it, we ventured down to the Diamond Head area to look for a cute, reasonable, good tasting restaurant. We just didn’t feel like Zippy’s or Rainbows today. We happened upon«Bogarts» in that little strip mall on Monserrat. I had been there once or twice, and enjoyed it. But, I was not crazy about the limited parking :(. But, today we decided to go for it and eat there again. Boy, we were NOT disappointed! The restaurant was just how I’d remember! Cute, yummy and had a very«beachy» feel. We will definitely be back again! So, back to T & B… Unfortunately, we will NOT be back! The parking isn’t very convenient. The customer service leaves something to be desired. And, even though the waitress was nice about squelching our desires and plans, I still don’t think it’s worth giving them another chance. Just my opinion T & B restaurant lovers! And, did I mention… The décor is very plain and uninspiring. So, I REALLY hope the food totally makes up for it!!! Peace, Rebecca

Cute little café with amazing food. First time here and definitely coming back. I had the avocado toast which was super filling and amazing! It had roasted pistachios on top(I’m not sure what the other stuff was or the name of it) but it was a perfect blend with the creamy avocado. The server was super nice, the atmosphere was quaint. It was a Monday morning around 9−10am, there was no wait to find a seat. I’m sure this place gets packed on weekends. The food is worth the wait. Can’t wait to come back!

Very good food, nice service. I had the roast beef hash with eggs which is very good, but pricey at $ 15.50. Lots of Gluten free options with unique flare. Small place so get there early. Park in the garage below the shopping center.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. After waking up in the morning, what I eat is going to determine what the rest of my day is going to be like. It’s gonna be a good day when I start it here. They serve refillable iced illy coffee. My maximum is usually 3. The girls usually have fresh squeezed juice or smoothies. I haven’t had anything here that I did not like. My tried and true is the salmon tartine. Crisp baguettes with thinly sliced fresh salmon, cream cheese, sweet onions and capers. The Tim Tam waffles are usually ordered for one of the girls. Who can resist chocolate, waffles, cookies and ice cream? The menu changes periodically with specials. A new favorite is the avocado toast. Don’t forget to get your stamp card. After 15 stamps, you get a free brekkie! Parking is under the building, with validation it’s $ 1 – 2.

Quality ingredients, and you will pay for them. Not much to the décor, up on the 2nd floor of the building. Wifey ordered juice before realizing it was ~$ 8 a glass, but it is fresh squeezed — ouch…

This my definitely my favorite breakfast spot on the island currently. It gets five stars for it’s healthy, flavorful and fresh menu, friendly staff, and nice space. Unlike some breakfast spots around town, T&B offers mostly HEALTHY breakfast choices but don’t stop reading yet! I just mean to say that their food is not so filled with oil that you’re holding your stomach for about an hour afterwards. Maybe I just am extra sensitive to fried and oily foods, but I find that I get stomach aches after eating a lot of breakfasts around town, but not here. Not only is it healthy, but it is FULL of flavors, local and unique! The dukkah spice on top of the avocado toast is to die for, for example. Can’t get that flavorful dish anywhere else and for that alone, I would make the trip! The veggie omelet is full of more unique veggies than the standard fare you usually see. They even put pesto on the top and it really makes it. Best omelet I’ve had at a breakfast spot in a long while. I’ve also enjoyed the mushroom rosti, and my boyfriend and my brother both enjoy the local style omelet. I’m convinced everything here is perfection and next time I come, I’m going to dig into some pancakes. Prices are average and the portions are not too small so you will leave satiated too! Besides food, the service is so sweet and helpful! They are really nice and don’t forget about you. I also posted a photo from a meal I had there recently and they reposted it to their own Instagram. I noticed they do that often. They seem to really appreciate their customers. The restaurant is easy to find and there’s parking downstairs in the garage. When I’ve went previously, it was free but they posted something about paying a $ 1 now with validation and free on Sundays, so I believe there’s an attendant down there now. The restaurant itself is good-sized, not too small or too large. It’s light and airy and has tables that will fit multiple plates if you have friends with you or you just want to try like four different meals… that’s ok too… right? Delicious!!! Go now!

Terrific place for breakfast! Coffee served in a real cup(if you have read any of my other reviews, you know this is a sticking point), delicious food, interesting menu choices, plenty of vegetarian options, and excellent service are the highlights of this place and earn it five stars from me. Since Sweet E’s Café had a line out the door at 8:30 am, we decided to try Tucker & Bevy Breakfast based on Emi H.‘s stellar(ha ha) review. We parked directly in front of the joint(it is up the stairs, actually) but I believe it also has its own lot. They had me at mushroom rosti. Seriously. Yum. I did need to check on the eggs: where they come from and how the hens are treated are important to me. I will not eat an egg if the hens are not truly free range. So our waitress confirmed they were and I could taste she was telling me the truth. My meal was delicious. My husband ordered the T&B pancake and said he absolutely LOVED it. The haupia sauce was yummy and he was not keen on sharing so I only got one bite. :(The portions were big and did I mention the coffee was in a real cup? Yup, a real cup. Not styrofoam, not paper, a real porcelain cup. And I also really liked that when the waitress came to our table, she asked us if we wanted coffee. We said yes and she said ok, right away. She did not have to ask us what kind because when the coffee is good, you don’t need different kinds. They serve Illy brand, which was a favorite of ours in Italy, and it was good and bottomless! The other thing I really liked was the fact that they don’t clutter the tables with stuff that you may or may not use. The person that ran our food out asked us if we wanted salt and pepper, ketchup or anything else? Nice! That’s when I noticed how roomy our table was. I think these two items are a nice touch. Finally, we were asked if we wanted a refill for the road. Not kidding. Who asks that? The little things… They will never have the set up to allow doggies so that is one reason we may not come back as often as we might, but this place is great and we loved the fact that we got in and were seated right away and food came out quickly. Our waitress was very friendly without being too much. She was attentive and genuine. She seems to enjoy her job and that kind of attitude is just what one wants on a Saturday morning! We spent about $ 40 for breakfast and believe it was really worth it. I’ve complained before about the cost of some meals but it really just depends on the quality. Great place!

Breakfast wrap: it came out PIPINGHOT! It was steaming and it took a while to cool down. I appreciate the fresh made aspect of this café. The wrap was also stuffed! A seriously large breakfast wrap that was still steaming when I began on the second half! But other than being piping hot, the food was okay tasting. It wasn’t anything stellar for me. It was on the bland side and I needed a lot of ketchup and pepper to give it some taste(personal preference). Tim Tam Waffles: this is my personal preference, but the beer battered waffle seemed a little funky tasting to me. It was a little bitter. Also, they did not have ice cream!!!(Insert sad face here). I was expecting more for the Tim tam waffle. But it’s just a big waffle with two pieces of Tim tams placed on top. I was envisioning a Tim tam infused or battered waffle. Or a Tim tam sauce of some sort. But the waffle didn’t suit my palette. Plantation iced tea: not sweet and the only option they offered to sweeten it was with their raw sugar which did not dissolve. But hey! I love that they offer raw sugar! Service: very slow and unsteady. It took a lot of effort and calling upon two different waitresses for ketchup. That was a bit unusual considering at the time of dining, it was about 1:30PM with only another table seated inside. I understand why some people love this joint. Unfortunately, this was a miss for me and I do not see myself coming back.

Cute little joint with good breakfast options. I got the T&B pancake(comes with granola, fruit and haupia syrup). The description of this item on the menu sounded delicious, hence why I ordered it, but in reality the dish was really underwhelming. The pancake most likely would have tasted better served with maple syrup as the haupia syrup didn’t really have any bold flavors/sweetness to it. The pancake was nice and fluffy and the fruit was pretty fresh though. My bf and friends seemed to enjoy the dishes they ordered so it may just have been the dish I got… but I most likely won’t be back.

Came across this restaurant as I was traveling. The burger with the lot is deceptively big, trust your appetite can overcome it! It’s beef with pork sausage kicks as you chew, and all the other fresh flavors kick down your tongue and mouth all one after another switching between delicious protein. Trust your gut and get it!

If you’re close to Waikiki and looking for a place to do brunch, this is your spot. After hiking diamond head with a friend on just a kind bar for fuel, we were both famished. I knew a nice brunch place would be ideal since it was around noon. Tucker & Bevvy was right at the top of my Unilocal search so we headed straight there. Parking is available under the Hee-Hing Plaza for free. When we arrived the lot was empty, I guess we missed the brunch rush. However, there is also street parking and in the surrounding neighborhood. I would recommend if you are coming here that you drive in from the makai side(heading towards mauka) because a left turn going down Kapahulu towards Waikiki would probably be a massive pain. I digress… Upon arrival there wasn’t a host(ess) but ample tables and we plopped ourselves down on a small two seater. Our server, I forget her name, was quick to bring menus and explain any questions we had. Due to our starving state, we both ended up ordering the roast beef hash plus an order of ricotta pancakes to share. The roast beef was the perfect hearty dish for our post hike famine state. The beef wasn’t cooked the best but it was still sinfully delicious. The ricotta pancakes though. OMG it was like eating fluffy clouds. with strawberries. And syrup. I stand by my Unilocal tip, these pancakes are life changing. I’m already planning my next hike so I can devour these babies afterwards :-D In terms of price, it’s on par with similar brunch spots around the area. While I haven’t explored many of them here(so I can’t really compare), I am a huge brunch enthusiast and IMHO, T&B does an excellent job. If you’re in the area I would definitely give this place a try. Especially if you’re looking for an alternative to those boring brunch places and standard Waikiki breakfast buffets.

happy happy tummy! We came here for the Breakfast Club UYE and it did not disappoint! I dragged my hubby along with also and even he was impressed, which can be hard to do. :) I ordered the Roast Beef(Prime Rib) Hash and it was soooo good, melted in my mouth! The meat was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the house potatoes. He had the Outback Wrap which was stuffed with steak, hashbrowns, grilled onions, baby spinach, mozzarella and an egg in a spinach wrap. –he also ordered one of the smoothies, a green apple something or other I think, and it was so fresh, so tasty! I was a little jealous I hadn’t ordered one. But my iced tea was tasty too. We shared the Tim Tam Waffle and it was DELICIOUS! the perfect belgian waffle texture with a scoop of ice cream and crumbled Tim Tams on top. It was oh-so-sweet so I would reccomend it as a side to share. A bright and airy, location up on the second floor, there is a parking garage underneath or plenty of street parking also. Bring change for the meter ;) Service was very good for our large group. Will definitely return!

Run, don’t walk here. I’ve walked by this shopping center many times and just figured nothing was opened yet because it seems under construction — I was wrong. I just had the best and most inventive omelet ever. Pesto? On an omelet? Whaaat? I honestly don’t think I can ever eat one without anymore. There was also diced sweet potato in there which took it to yet another level. This will be on my mind until we can reunite, sigh. I should add that the place is nice, clean, fast and has friendly service. Yummy iced coffee, too.

I first stumbled upon this place on the Explore page on Instagram. What first caught my eye was a picture of the Tim Tam Waffle. After having studied abroad in Australia and for any true snacker, you know that Tim Tams are amazing and delicious! We went on a Sunday around 12:30pm(the perfect brunch time). It was crowded when we got there and waited around 20 minutes to be seated. The staff was friendly and apologetic for the kitchen being busy that day. I immediately knew I wanted the Tim Tam Waffle, and to my delight, it said it came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! My boyfriend also ordered the Smoked Salmon Tartine so we could share and get a taste of both. The food came out in good time, seeing that they were busy. The Tim Tam Waffle was delicious; Tim Tams, ice cream, and Tim Tam crumbles over a waffle that was the perfect texture and not too heavy. The Smoked Salmon Tartine was a nice compliment to offset the sugar high of the waffle. We were both satisfied and so full after eating what we ordered. The friendly staff, laid back atmosphere, and delicious food will definitely bring us back again for another visit soon!

Who’s up for some brekkie? Tucker & Bevvy Breakfast is the 2nd location belonging to the married couple that own Tucker & Bevvy Picnic in Waikiki. This spot is their Australian inspired breakfast restaurant! Parking: There’s free parking in the garage under Yee Hing Plaza, the building that the restaurant is located in. If it’s full, there metered street parking outside and across the street that tends to be open. Check the signs for times in case you don’t actually have to pay. Location & Ambiance: It’s on Kapahulu(left side if you’re heading towards the ocean), so you will more than likely have to deal with at least a little of the beach & Waikiki traffic on your way to the restaurant, especially on weekends. It’s on the top floor of Yee Hing Plaza, right at the top of the stairs. It’s a very simple place. White walls, wicker chairs, chalkboard with specials, and a one page menu. But simplicity is good sometimes! In this case, it’s unassuming, bright and is a great casual spot for breakfast… oops, brekkie! Food: They have lots of great menu items, but I always gravitate towards eggs for brekkie. Italian Baked Eggs come with Italian sausage in a tomato sauce with two eggs cracked & baked over them, served w/a couple slices of toast on the side. I think it’s the spice and tomato sauce dressing up the eggs that I really like, but hey, try it out yourself! Other dishes worth a try include: + Kale & Quinoa Salad — It’s healthy & it’s delicious! Yes, it’s kale and it’s quinoa, but it’s also kabocha and poached eggs! That’s right, poached eggs on salad & when you crack that yolk open, it makes for great dressing! ^_^ + Tim Tam Waffle — It’s like having dessert for breakfast! Tim Tams are chocolate covered wafer cookies that are popular in Austraila. For this dish, they serve you a belgian waffle w/Tim Tam crumbles sprinkled over it, a scoop of ice cream on top, and 2 Tim Tam cookies on the side. Shuu-gaar! +Ricotta Pancakes — Light, fluffy pancakes that are definitely yummy. I always just get one to share with whoever I’m eating with. They also serve it with strawberries, butter, and syrup, but I personally don’t even need the syrup and butter. Condiments: They have a wide assortment of everyday condiments(e.g. Tobasco, shoyu, ketchup, etc), but they also have some fun stuff! Sriracha, Adobo Loco hot sauces, and, amongst a few other things, they also have Vegemite. Don’t ask for the Vegemite if you’re not going to at least eat some; you’d be wasting the waitress’ time. My general rule is that I’ll eat anything at least once, so I asked the waitress how I should use it. She said that most people in Australia just smear it on toast, so that’s what I did. For me, it kind of tasted like bitter shoyu made into spreadable paste… so I didn’t really like it, but I can’t say I hated it either.
