Kent sptic cost me over $ 7,000. They inspected my septic system for the buyer of my house. So on my leaching field there are 3 runs of piping, on one run they found water, which was the run at the lowest point. So everyone knows that water runs to the lowest point. They nevered check the D box which is the most important part of the Leaching field. So he told the buyer that it didn’t fail but in needs a new leaching field. How stupid is this company. How does that make sense. So come to fine out the D box was smash which means the water was never going into the pipes, so it ran to its lowest point.

Don“t use this company, they pass my leaching field, but told my buyer it needed a new one, how can that be. Now even though my leaching field is working fine because only the D-​BOX had to be replace, I have to shell out over $ 7,000 because they misinformed the buyer. STAY AWAY

We have used Kent Septic multiple times and recommended them on numerous occasions to friends and family based off our own experiences. Always wanted to leave a review and never did. After recommending them to my Mother for a septic inspection, she was thrilled with their service. Their honesty saved her money and on top of that was nothing but professional and timely service. I wanted to write and say how disappointed I am with Kent Septic — as a real estate agent, I have used the company regularly for septic inspections and recommended for repairs when things go awry during home sales. The techs they send for pumping have always been professional. However, over the Thanksgiving weekend, we had an issue with our own septic in Brookline, and was ultimately upset with the service we received.
On Saturday (¹¹⁄₂₈) we noticed a gurgling when flushing in the drains. When inspecting where the inlet pipe exits our home, we observed toilet paper on the ground — not a good sign. We already had a septic pump scheduled with Kent for Monday, so we figured we would be gentle with the system until then, and ask the tech when he comes out.
The tech showed up 35 minutes late, to an 8am appointment. He called ahead saying his truck wouldn’t start — and we were ok with it. Things happen. While there, the tech was kind and professional, and dug up the pipe by hand for us to look at. There was an obvious crack, and he called someone to come take a look at it. While on the phone, we were given a verbal quote of $ 600 — $ 800, but someone would have to come look. I told them I would be around in the afternoon, and was told I’d be given a call before they arrived.
30 minutes later, while at a doctors appointment, I get a call saying they are on the way and I didn’t have to be there. Ok. I don’t hear back for several hours, and decided to call the tech back. He didn’t answer the phone, so I called the main office line. I was again given a verbal quote of $ 600 — $ 800, but they haven’t heard back from their tech. Not twenty minutes later, I received a call from the main office with the exact same quote «depending on the work that needs to be done,» which makes me question if someone even went to the home. There was no explanation of the issue or what work needed to be done.
At this point, we could not flush our toilets, shower, do laundry, or dishes, as all the wastewater was pooling at the foundation of our home. I decided to call several other companies to get a quote, all of which made it seem like it was an easy fix. The company we ended up using was family owned, and it basically came down to a clogged pipe that had busted. Right then and there, the guy found and cleared the clog, replaced the pipe, and had it done in less than 2 hours. The total bill came to $ 210, and he even put a handle on the top of our septic cover at no cost just to make it easier for future service.
After seeing how little work really needed to be done and how quick the repair was, I feel as though Kent tried to take advantage of a consumer. I used to refer several customers a month to them, and am disappointed that the price difference and service was so vastly different. At this point, I will no longer feel comfortable referring business to this company.

Buyers of my house used them for a septic inspection. they put the lawn back horrible and claimed they could not find the leach field. They also put two holes in my irrigation line. I dug up the leach field as I did not trust the company. The guy who came out the second time was good and finished the inspection. I pointed out the two irrigation line holes that was clearly punctured by the spike tool they use to find the septic tank. He said he would fix it now but did not have a repair kit on the truck, but would call the office and let them know about it. He also said that he had an appointment to go to. No big deal, I understand stuff happens. I even told the guy that he did not have to back fill the holes and that I would take care of it. You know trying not to be a PITA. I heard nothing for a few days so I called them to see when they were going to come out and repair the irrigation line. I spoke to Donna who said that the company was not responsible for damage done during inspection. She confirmed that the damage was done and that the buyers were there. She then questioned if I hit any pipes when I dug. I advised that I did not. Which her worker could confirm. Really impressed so far. I used Kent to inspect the septic during my last house purchase. They said all was in great shape so I continued using the same service company the previous homeowner did. Just bought a new house and used Kent to do our septic inspection again and again they were nice to work with. So when I had a problem and my septic backed up last week I called Kent and figured I’d give them a shot. They were quite busy with work, but managed to get someone out to my house that same day. The problem was bigger than expected and they had to bring in a mini-​excavator to do some digging and replace a busted line. All was done the same day before I got home from work. Although they had to tear up part of my lawn the impact they left was minimal. They took payment over the phone from me and the cost was very reasonable. Very good work guys and gals.

Fair pricing and the owners seem to do whatever it takes to satisfy their customers… Very pleased with my experience with them. They actually came back after the job to clean up my patio area after I wasn’t happy with the way they left it.
