more than once I have gotten rude service here. like one of the other reviews said, I’ve been argued with about what my order was versus what arrived on my plate. on a separate visit the server argued with me about honoring my gift certificate (which was valid in every way). after we sorted out the problem (translation: I got extremely uncomfortable arguing with her and gave up trying to use it) she literally never came back to the table after dropping off food. no check in, no refill offers, she didn’t. even. bring. the. check. I had to get up and ask another server for help, it was unbelievable. unfortunately it’s conveniently located to my job, so my coworkers keep talking me into going there.

Love the Parkside Café! Especially Love the sampler. a little bit of everything for breakfast! The service is always excellent and with a smile. And they offer outdoor seating in the warmer weather, great place to relax on your lunch break!

The food is always good and the atmosphere is casual. We have always had a good experience there except today.
One person in our party said politely that he ordered bacon not sausage. She took his plate and switched the sausage to bacon, which was fine. The problem was that she said ‘You ordered sausage, Babe’ and gave him a look.
Arguing with a customer does not sit well with us. We did not see her but one time during the meal when she asked to freshen my coffee, but not his. When it was time for the check, she put it down on the end of the table and spun around and started talking to the people at the table opposite us.
I’d like to note here that we have never had anything but wonderful service from all the other waitresses and the owner.
Sorry but one bad apple spoils the barrell.

This place is always crowded! It’s a typical breakfast joint with an extremely casual atmosphere and a basic menu. The food is good and comes out reasonably fast. The only problem I have with Parkside is the service. I’ve been here 4 or 5 times and each time the waitresses have been very frazzled. No matter how many people they have working its always unorganized and hard to get anyone’s attention after our food is served.
