Toured the place for a possible wedding venue after it was recommended to my fiancé and I. Walking in, the place smelled «musty». The décor is completely outdated. The brass fixtures can be considered «classic» to some; however, I am not a fan of the early 80’s décor. The floral wallpaper everywhere and the China cabinets in the hallways completely threw me off. The staff was very nice but did make us feel a bit rushed. We asked questions regarding what liquors are part of their bar and if special dietary needs could be met, and the woman assisting us was completely clueless! She told us she could ask Mr. Williamson and get back to us the next day. I’m sure this place is great for older family members, perhaps for a dinner, but definitely will not be having my wedding here.

Made the mistake of having Mother’s Day brunch here. Talk about a prime candidate for one of those restaurant makeover shows! The décor is early 80s, as is the food. No variety, no seasoning … a total insult to customers, quite frankly. It is a shame because I know this is one of those places that has been around forever and grandparents love, but stained ceilings and carpets, old school brass fixtures and poufy valances, coupled with food that isn’t even seasoned with SALT, have no place in today’s competitive restaurant environment. An update is way, way overdue!

First time at Williamson’s in Horsham. I know it has been here for many years and the décor proves it. I’m sure the older generation appreciates the style, but I personally think it needs an upgrade.
We were here for lunch after a memorial service for a family member. For a luncheon on the larger scale of things the food was tasty and service was efficient.
I would recommend for a large gathering in that area.

I came to Williamson’s for a rehearsal dinner. We were placed in a very nice banquet hall, which was perfect for our large party. The staff was very accommodating and we were able to navigate to the buffet and bar easily throughout the night. The food was okay, nothing to write home about but tasty enough. I would recommend Williamson’s for this exact type of situation — a large banquet in the Willow Grove area.

I’ve been here two or three times over the past few years for lunches following family funerals. Never the most exciting occasions, naturally, but the Williamson’s staff always makes everyone feel comfortable while serving a solid, albeit mass-​produced, meal. The place has a timeless look and feel that I think older family members appreciate, but it doesn’t feel so stuffy that younger kids feel out of place. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to host a large gathering in the area.

This was a favorite restaurant for my grandparents. When I was a kid, it felt so special to get dressed up and go there. The food is home-​style and I’ve had both some great meals there and some mediocre meals, but for me, they will always be a five-​star place because of the kindness they once showed my grandparents. I was taking my grandparents there for my grandmother’s ninetieth birthday. She fell before we left the house, not badly enough that she wanted to reschedule her birthday lunch, but the result was that we got there just after Williamson’s closed their lunch service and they didn’t re-​open again until dinner. A very kind gentleman took notice of my grandmother’s tears while I tried to suggest alternate places to go and he came over to speak with us. He kindly told her not to worry and led us back into the dining room. I later found out that he cooked the meal for us himself, as the lunch chefs were gone– he came out and talked with us, congratulated my grandmother on her birthday, and just generally made my grandparents feel like a million dollars. I was so frazzled that I never made the connection when he told me his name– only later did I realize that he might have said his last name might have been Williamson, leading me to believe he was one of the owners or owners family– not sure, and I could be wrong on that, but I will never forget the kindness that he and the rest of the staff showed my grandparents that day. The waitress who I’m sure was asked to stay after her shift to wait on us just doted on my grandparents and could not have been nicer. It’s not often that you see people willing to put themselves out for others the way that Williamson’s did that day– I’ll never forget it!
PS: I had the duck a l’orange that day and to this day, it is still the best duck a l’orange that I have ever had!

I came here twice for organization events– camera club and materials engineering professional association. First time, it was for a SLR camera seminar which was afternoon fare of fruits, cheese, crackers, and drinks. This was fine and actually liked the fruit variety of strawberries, honeydew, pineapple on a long stick. It seemed like Williamson did a pretty decent job. Then again, it’s pretty hard to screw a snack/​party platter.
The second time, it was for a professional engineering organization meeting which was a dinner fare. It started with french onion soup followed by roast beef with some green beans and baked potato then ended with ice cream and brownie. Cost for the dinner event was $ 30. Food was average at best with a little rough roast beef and limpy green beans. French onion soup was too salty. Dessert was the only redeeming thing of the whole meal. The next month, I drove all the way to Kutztown for the same organization meeting– different chapter. That was only $ 25 and food was much better compared to here.
The place needs a serious update since it looks like everything was from the 60’s or 70’s. However, it serves its purpose. I just wished the food could be a bit better. I will have to give this place two stars with less than average roast beef.

Wow — are they still in business? This restaurant — right on the corner of 2 major roads, has been a landmark for decades. The median age of the patrons (and servers) is about 60.
They offer a great choice of old fashioned home-​style platters such as welsh rarebit and chicken croquettes.
It was fun to eat here as a child and even then, felt like a nostalgic throwback to another era.
I hope they are still in business, as I have not personally eaten here in many years — but I gave 3 stars in anticipation that by now they MUST need a cosmetic overhaul. Back in «the day» we even saw fashion shows here sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and other groups.
And we ate fattening food and iceberg based salads.
What fun!

I’ve been to Williamson’s for two band banquets in High School and for my friend’s 21^st birthday party. That’s really what it’s good for – if you’re hosting some kind of party or affair to which you’re inviting a good deal of people. There are a couple different sized rooms; the band banquets were both in one of the bigger rooms and my friend’s 21^st birthday party was in one of the smaller rooms, so as a guest I think I got the best of both worlds. Otherwise, this isn’t the place I’d go if I were in the mood just to go out for dinner. Both times the food was to my liking – their salmon is good, as is the dessert. Then again it all depends on what the people who have planned the party have picked for the menu. Also, the waitstaff who handle the parties are friendly but not overly invasive.

I’ve never gone here to eat dinner or lunch — I think you need that pale silver-​blue dyed hair and a walker to qualify — but I have gone to weddings and banquets at the place.
Decent. They can accommodate a large affair. If you can get past the pattern on the carpets, the décor is generically acceptable, but definatly old school. For the affairs that I attended, the service was good, pleasant & efficient. The food was standard rubber whatever with green beans almondine.
Based on Karen’s review, and the fact that it’s close to home, maybe it’s time to get out my AARP card and see if they’ll let me in for a meal. Where else can you get Welsh Rarbit these days?
