Advanced Obgyn

I LOVE Advanced OB! I’ve been a patient of Dr. Fogiel’s since 2010 and have had nothing but a positive experience. She is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Fogiel was awesome throughout my recent pregnancy, especially when it became high risk. I had to visit the clinic twice a week, and she bent over backwards to fit my appointments in. Toward the end of my pregnancy, Dr. Fogiel even periodically called me to check in on my status. Not only was she present for my entire delivery, but she actively coached me through the process. Her calm demeanor put any anxiety I had at ease.
During my pregnancy, I saw the other doctors a few times too and they were both great! The staff and nurses at Advanced OB are courteous and helpful. At one of my pregnancy checkups, I was struggling to walk due to nerve pain. After the appointment, a receptionist promptly got a wheelchair and pushed me to my car in the parking garage. Across the board, everyone goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional patient care!
The clinic is well organized and utilizes an online patient portal system, which is extremely efficient for receiving lab results and appointment reminders. The office environment is clean and low key, which I appreciate. There is a small child friendly area in the waiting room for older children.
Overall, I highly recommend Advanced OB! I’ve referred a few family members and friends, and everyone has been very satisfied. Bottom line: I will continue to see Dr. Fogiel for as long as I live in Houston!

My first initial visit was a great experience. However, my follow up visits and trying to get something scheduled was very disappointing. The front desk staff are rude and not accommodating at all. I work in an office environment, I know how difficult their job can be– but the front desk women show no phone professionalism. After I spoke with them, I immediately asked to speak with Dr. Tejml’s nurse. Even though she gave me the same answer as the front desk, she at least acted like she was trying to help me and understand my frustrations and needs without any attitude.

I have had a multitude of ob-​gyns and have finally found a doctor that is a keeper. I delievered my son with Dr. Roberts and had a positive experience. First of all she listens to you. (2) She is very calm and soothing. When you’re expecting a child this is soooo helpful. This was also great during my delivery. When the nurses at the hospital were telling me to push and I didn’t want to, she gently told them to give me some time. (3) She didn’t mind me having a doula. Most delivery doctors don’t wait hours in your room waiting for you to deliver. They come at the very end. Having my doula with me that night helped me deliver my little one naturally. Some doctors don’t like doula’s but Dr. Roberts was cool with me having one. (4) She has gentle hands. Most of my procedures go by with very little pain and discomfort. Whenever she examined me I didn’t feel pain like I did when the nurses examined me during delivery.
Dr. Robert’s a keeper! Dr. Fogel is also awesome. I had to meet with her instead of Dr. Robert’s once and I would not have minded her helping me delivery my son. Kuddos ladies! You both are great.
The only drawback I see is that they only deliver with Memorial Hermann Memorial City. I will NOT deliver at that hospital again. I did not like the hospital nurses but that’s not a reflection of how awesome Advanced ObGyn. Just to clarify IF I have another baby it will be delivered at a birthing center instead of a hopsital. I’ll visit Advanced ObGyn and long as they let me. :-)

Worst office management. My husband and I had an appointment for a month for our initial pregnancy visit at 8 weeks. We confirmed insurances and were so excited! That morning, pulling into the parking lot, the cold receptionist called to let us know that they decided to not carry our insurance as of recently. Devastated. A professional office would have informed up and coming appointments of the change. My insurance didn’t even know yet. Just don’t want anyone else to go through the let down we did due to incompetent office management.
