TLDR — quick to oversell for dubious services and fillings, rude receptionist /​billing representative — maybe this practice is okay for other services, but with so many options in Houston, go elsewhere.

I went to Dr. Chee for a routine cleaning. Initially, the staff was very nice and asked me a lot about myself — trying to form a relationship. I thought that was a good start.
However, things changed when the hygienist recommended a very expensive cleaning for some of the debris they found on my gum line (it was nearly impossible to see on the bite wing xrays). The woman in charge of finance came out within seconds to tell me urgently how I really needed this preventative cleaning. It felt odd because this woman was not a medical professional and had not seen my records, but was pushing a clipboard with a bill into my hands. I should have walked out then and there — but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.
After the cleaning, Dr. Chee saw me and quoted 3 surface cavities (IE why they weren’t visible on the xray). I am under 25 and have never had a cavity in my entire life. I have had regular sealants. I decided to get a second opinion. Sure enough, the second dentist did not believe I needed the fillings nor the expensive cleaning.
I expressed my grievances to the practice and received a very rude response from the woman at the front desk. She went as far as to berate the second dentist with a very embarrassing and offensive email. Too far.

I have been seeing Dr. Chee for 25 years. She is a great dentist. Dr. Chee is very gentle and skillful. I have very low tolerance on pain and she always ensures that I feel okay and comfortable. Once I sit on her dentist chair, I know that I will be well taken care of. She is a perfectionist. Every dental work she did on me, she tried her very best to perform the best job. She is very talented on cosmetic dentistry. She just recently did the crowns and lumineers for my front teeth and they look beautiful. I remember Dr. Chee whenever I smile.
