History
Established in 2014.
ABLC starts the therapeutic process by building a positive relationship with the child, creating a fun and rewarding environment in which ABA therapy can be successful. This approach allows us to better assess, analyze, and target identified behavioral excesses and skill deficits, creating individualized treatment according to the specific needs of child and family. By using a combination of proactive and reactive teaching strategies, ABLC can optimize the learning opportunities and progress of your child.
While building up motivation that is often lacking, ABA uses proven and effective teaching methods that involve breaking down targeted skills into simple steps and teaching these individual components. We use different levels of prompting to help with acquisition and retention which also helps reduce frustration and confusion. Once the child is able to independently complete the sub steps of a skill, the steps are built back together until the targeted skill is fully attained.
