Avalon at Gulfgate

These apartments are the worst!!! While living in them, we dealt with a huge rat infestation, mold and mildew, rotting ceilings, the AC never working, rarely hot water, every time you take a shower or bath, it floods the bedroom under the restroom, roach infestation, horrible maintenance, property owners and management! The amount of rent is ridiculous for what you are getting. The grounds are extremely unkept, constant running across roofs and random people at your door at ridiculous times of night. These apartments should be shut down, put under better management, or taken over by the city, fixed and used for a better purpose. We regret EVER moving in there and would NOT recommend it to ANYONE!

This is an ideal apartment complex for immigrants, low income families, ex –cons, and delinquents. The management is a nightmare. My very hard working fiancée (now husband) was extorted out of $ 50 for a late fee on a rent check that was deposited late by management, who then threatened us with eviction. Eventually, he forked over the $ 50 to get Gracie Mata off our backs. There is mold throughout these apartments, and the ceiling in our closet even fell through due to heavy rain. Our bicycle was stolen, and there are residents there who play porn music on Friday & Saturday nights very loudly after the office closes (I even saw hookers in the parking lot one night). A play structure for the children was promised and never built, the gate is perpetually broken, and the parking lot is full of pot holes and garbage after the weekend. If you want to be made ill, have your belongings damaged and stolen, have management intentionally deposit your checks late and have you living in fear of unauthorized access to your dwelling (yes, Gracie did that, too), then invest your hard-​earned money at this apartment complex.
