*DO NOT GO HERE* I went to this er on Monday with severe cramping on the right side. I found out I had a 6 cm cyst on my right ovary and was given pain medication and told to follow up with my obgyn but if the pain worsened to come back in because this could mean it could have twisted. Well it did, it became really bad and I went back in at 10pm that night. The front desk staff was unprofessional considering how much pain I was in and the doctor on call just seemed like he was in a rush to get me out of there and wouldn’t even consider that my ovary had twisted, I believe he thought I was being dramatic. So I was just sent home with more pain meds and to follow up with my obgyn again. Next day I saw her and was told I needed surgery to remove the cyst. Today I had that surgery and lost my right ovary because it indeed had twisted and had they admitted me Monday it could have been saved. I will not be coming back to this er.

The front desk person refused to tell me if they accept my insurance. I don’t know why, as she also didn’t explain why. I left. Rude.

Avoid at all costs. This is the most fraudulent place I have ever been to and I am a nurse of 16 years so that is saying something. I took my husband there for concerns related to a possible fractured hip or groin injury. Yes the place is clean and they are fast to take you back.- but they did nothing except take his blood pressure. No IV no X-​ray no medicine just said follow up with your PCP. This is after an hour waiting in the back to be seen. I tried to explain we are new to the area and don’t have a doctor. Just given a referral to one of their clinics. Upon checking out I was handed a bill for $ 4079. You read that right. I said excuse me? They did nothing! She informed me AFTER the fact that it’s a flat rate charge. For absolutely nothing. She said I could call back with my insurance information because they couldn’t locate us in the system but that was the bill. I refused to sign and will be taking it up with the billing department on Monday. Never in my life have I heard of an urgent care or emergency room charging a flat rate and not disclosing that upfront. I am considering suing them for fraud if the bill is not adjusted. I could even see paying 400 for the doctor’s exam (still outrageous) but 4000? For absolutely nothing being done? This is exactly what is wrong with healthcare in our country and it makes me physically ill.

BEST KEPT SECRET IN TOWN: I’ve been to this location several times over the years with symptoms that were properly diagnosed and treated. I’ve always been very happy with the treatment I’ve received since I’ve never had to return due to a misdiagnosis. I’m so happy with their service that I’ve taken my husband and son there for treatment and to date they’ve both been properly diagnosed and treated. We are very thankful they are so close and reliable!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give it a «0» I would. It is misleading, this is not a neighborhood urgent care center. They tote themselves as an emergency room. The fees are fraudulently upcoded by facility and doctors. Now, I have huge volume of bills not covered by insurance. They should rename this facility to alert patients that it isn’t a urgent care center.

Trust me on this one — if you have no insurance or a high deductible policy either go somewhere else or be prepared to pay OUTRAGEOUS fees or go ahead and make peace with your Creator. Thinking I was having a mini stroke, I went there – pleasant place, no crowd, clean, etc… Saw a nurse who did the usual blood pressure, pulse, temperature (no blood work) routine and did an EKG and an x-​ray before seeing the doctor. Saw the Doctor all of 8 minutes who insisted I go to St Luke’s in Med Center for a battery of tests. A billing representative who called herself a patient’s advocate (HA!!) walks in after I have been told though I am fine, you just never know… and presents me with a $ 1400 bill to pay on the spot. As if that didn’t act as a catalyst for a stroke… I was not allowed to drive myself nor was I allowed for any one except an ambulance to take me to the hospital despite my feeling fine, exhibiting no symptoms of impending stroke. no headache, paralysis, tingling etc…4 hours later (after sitting in limbo for three hours) I am sitting up eating a sandwich on the ride over hit chatting away with the ambulance attendants. Translation – I am not in critical shape. Bill for that $ 750!!! Three months later I receive a bill from the Doctor at the minor emergency clinic for $ 738. These people are robber barons whether they are nice, professional or otherwise. Moral of the story: Get the best insurance you can afford, make sure you have a regular physician (mine retired and I was in no hurry to shop for a new one) and, if time allows, comparison shop!!!

A complete waste of time and money!!! I would have given them 0 stars but that wasn’t an option. Went in for a simple problem that could have been fixed and what did they do… put a fancy band-​aid on it and charge me $ 150.00!!! I have band-​aids at home!!! WTH! Yeah it looks nice, but don’t be fooled, it’s a rip off! So unless you’re dying b/​c «they’re only there to make sure you live» like the nurse told me, put up with the pain/​problem til you can get in to see your regular doctor!!!

I visited this Emergency Center after taking at-​home blood pressure readings that were alarmingly unusual. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to get checked out so I stopped by in the evening. I assumed the Center would be busy with an after-​work crowd, but I was immediately and pleasantly surprised by (1) the lack of full waiting area, (2) the quick and professional intake process, and (3) the overall cleanliness of the facilities. Needless to say, I was impressed.
My good impression continued once I was checked by nurses and the doctor on staff, all of whom were pleasant and attentive. They ran several tests (blood pressure, urine, blood, etc.), and the results took some time to come back, but two hours later I walked out with a clean bill of health and a suggestion to buy a new BP monitor since mine was obviously broken. If my experience ended here, this would have been a 5-​star review.
HOWEVER, a few weeks after my visit I received several bills totaling $ 6000!!! My insurance covered most of that cost, but my portion of responsibility was still $ 700! None of the bills had descriptive line items and certain line items appeared to be duplicative. Inquiries into the reasons behind the exorbitant costs have been unsuccessful so far. As highly as I can speak for the facilities and staff is as lowly as I can speak for their charging system. The only thing this has done is spike my blood pressure — good job St. Luke’s!

Great place. The doctors are good, and the nurses are awesome! Just remember that this is an offshoot of the big ER in the medical center and charge the same fees. However, if you need a CT scan or a X-​Ray at 2 in the morning, they can get you fixed up and sent home in a few hours– all in one location. Sure they want you to follow up with your regular physician, but since they aren’t your regular doc, they are trying to make sure your whole health is being taken care of.

For any and all MINOR emergencies this is my spot. I have been coming here since before they moved to this new building. It is 30 minutes from my house but you cannot beat the service they provide. I remember taking my kids to Texas Children’s Hospital and the wait was so long we sat there 3hours without being seen and my son had a fever of 104.1! I told my husband we’re leaving and going to St. Lukes, as we had got up to leave another couple asked if they could follow as their daughter was running a fever of 103. I said that was fine we arrived 3 minutes behind each other to the minor emergency room and was seen right away with his fever being so high, come to find out he had an ear and throat infection which he was given medicine there and a prescription with notes to follow up with the pediatrician. The doctors and nurses here are all kid friendly and patient and I can truly appreciate that. We walked out an hour later and the couple who came in behind us was checking out as well and very thankful that they had followed us as well. Keep up the great work St. Luke’s …

Great facilities, but instead of actually being doctors and diagnosing illnesses they would rather run a bajillion tests on you and have you «follow up» with one of their physicians next door. For just one visit I was slammed with 3 medical claims, who the hell does that? If you even look at a physician, that physician will send you a bill. The charges on my invoice are ridiculous. I have claims from 3 physicians at least.
I do not recommend this ER for minor emergencies. Stay far, far away especially if your deductible has not been met.

The otherday, I felt tighness in my chest. It was a little after midnight so, i got scared so I wend to ER. Walked in the front door, handed them my drivers license and within 1 hour of sitting in the lobby, I was led to one of the examining rooms where my vital stats were taken. Over the next 30 minutes or so, I was hooked up to the Blood Pressure and pulse machine, had an IV inserted in me several times, then my blood was taken, hooked up to an EKG machine, and x-​rayed. 30 minutes later the doctor comes out and came to find out I was only having a heart burn. Paid my $ 75 deductible then went home.
Two weeks later after my insurance paid for most of the bill, I got a $ 999 bill from St, Lukes and $ 680 bill from the doctor. Ouch!

An amazing emergency center with kind, dedicated and knowledgeable staff. I hope I don’t have to go back (it is an emergency center after all), but if you ever have an emergency situation in that part of town, go there and avoid the mess at the hospital. I was evaluated within 20 minutes of arriving and they did a CT scan on site and emailed it to the radiologist at the main hospital. Had results in 30 minutes. Unheard of! I really appreciated their attentive care and kindness.

if you ever need to go to am emergency room– (and let’s hope you don’t!) this is the place you wanna go. it’s owned by st lukes in the medical center, but it’s not attached to an actual hospital– its a stand alone, full service ER.
I’ve been there twice, once for me– for a stupid injury (I’m a klutz), and once for my husband, who was actually having an honest-​to-​god emergency. both times, the place was so quiet, with hardly any wait at all. All the nurses both times were so polite, caring and understanding. My husband needed to be ambulanced to the actual hospital for surgery, but they took care of everything so quickly, and saved his life.
after my neck injury, they even called me for follow-​ups to make sure I was treated well and to see how I was recovering. very nice friendly place to be when you are in a scary situation!
so if you have a mild injury, it’s perfect– now if your arm has fallen off, you might wanna take the trouble to go to the actual hospital, where there is an OR… but this ER is fine for most urgent care needs.

The service was excellent, everyone that I met was friendly and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. The staff took their time and explained everything that they were doing. They even chatted on a more personal level which also helped to relieve the stress of sitting in the examination room.
They have relocated to this location a little less than a year ago. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The building is new, spacious, nicely laid out. I counted at least 10 examination rooms as I walked down the hallway. They have an on site lab and x-​ray machine, and probably a few other services that I am not aware of. There is even a walk-​in clinic next door that you can go to during regular business hours.
Thankfully after about 3 – 4 hours of playing lab rat, and a couple of saline bottles later, I was discharged feeling much better than when I walked in. I would highly recommend this place if you have a minor medical emergency and you do not want to sit in a hospital waiting room all night. And if they determine that your emergency is critical, then they can easily transport you over to a hospital.
