Liz at the Benefit Brow Bar is amazing! $ 20 for GREAT eye brows is money well spent! Liz takes appointments and always runs on time. She will take walk-ins but her appointments get first priority. Liz is super friendly and does a great job with my brows every time. I’m VERY picky about my eye brows and Liz exceeds my expectations!

All of Houston has butchered my eyebrows. All I want is a thick eyebrow with a nice shape and none of the threading people in Houston have been able to achieve that. I saw that Ulta had a Benefit Brow Bar so I took a chance made an appointment spur of the moment and went. Liz was the lovely lady who serviced my eyebrows and she was excellent. Pic is attached to review. I told Liz what I wanted to achieve and she was able to provide a great service and actually listened to what I wanted. She showed me where my eyebrows should start, arch, and end. The other threading places just wanted me to grow my eyebrows to be the never ending eyebrows and do what they think looks good and I always end up with many cuts from the threading. I do recommend this to all friends and reviewers. The only down side is that it does cost $ 22 but the shape is worth it.

After a few months of doing my own brows out of fear someone would butcher them again I decided to take a chance and make an appointment with the Brow Bar. I am trying to go with a fuller yet clean line brow and it is really hard when people want to thread or wax off half of your eyebrow. Pencil thin brows are NOT cute. I am a huge fan of Benefit already and had read a lot of good things about their brow training and methods. They do something called brow mapping that gives you the best full and natural shape for your face. I made an appointment over the phone and it was super easy. I ended up getting Simone who was really nice and explained the Benefit method of brow waxing. I am a medium dark brown brunette, but have fine eyebrows. I decided I wanted to try a tint and wax to get a fuller more filled in look. Simone color matched me and tinted before the wax. They came out dark but natural looking, it isn’t too noticeable, but definitely darker. It wasn’t exactly what I expected because I usually fill in with a brown pencil. Next she brow mapped me and waxed along my natural brow shape, between my eyes and along the outer corners of the brow where it extended past my eyes. My brows don’t look perfect yet, the spaces that were still growing in because of over tweezing but I can see what my brows will eventually look like once all grown out. The waxing was quick and painless. I paid $ 32 for both the wax and tint together. Some might think that is a lot but to get expert brow service it is totally worth it. It should take about 3 weeks for the rest of my brows to grow in. I am looking forward to my next appointment. I am ready to get back to my natural brow shape. I don’t think I would do the tint again though. Since my brows are so fine I need a product anyway to make them look fuller, I feel for me it is a waste of money. My only complaint is that once you are finished they pile the product on your brows. I think she put like 4 or 5 different things on me. I didn’t like it at all. It was way too much product and not at all what I was hoping to achieve. Realistically I am not going to spend more than just a few minutes defining my brows. I went to the car and wiped it all off and re did them more naturally using Benefit’s Gimmie Brow brush on fiber gel. If you are looking for a brow makeover, touch up or a fix from a botched job, this is the place to go.
