The bun bo hue was very tasty, and the pork spring rolls were also very enjoyable. The place seems kinda scary from the outside, but the inside is nice enough. The staff was very quick to take our order and get the food out, it was an enjoyable little stop for dinner!

Don’t let the looks fool you, from the outside this place might looks a little downscale but the food is absolutely on point. Service were very nice and friendly as well. But the chicken Co Do with rice is definitely a must try! the chicken was very tender and flavor(don’t forget to ask for their special sauce because it doesn’t come with it).

So damn good. I just got out of a week stay at a hospital and decided to hit some Vietnamese food. Their phở was straight fire. Well developed broth, generous with animal parts, i even got some boba tea.

I can’t find any place is better than this restaurant in south 45. One of my favorite restaurant in the US. I love their bun bo hue so much, always come there at least 2 of months. The owner«anh Quô’c» is really cool guy. Everything I could say about this restaurant is great food, great service. If you don’t trust me, please try one time. U will not be disappointed

The food gets a 5* but the building prevents me from rating it higher than a 4*. We had the wonton, steamed dumplings and P8 Phở. The wonton was flavored so good. It had shrimp and little fried bits of fat that made it oh so tasty. The Phở P8– broth was exceptional. I didn’t have to add anything upfront it tasted delicious. Once I spiced it up with all their hot sauces I couldn’t stop eating it. Staff was friendly, very accommodating. Prices were fair. I just wish they served Ga. Will make this my new Phở place to eat, just may be better than Phở Binh.

Went on a Sunday for some lunch. Got the Phở Tai Nam and it was absolutely phenomenal. Their broth is so flavorful without being over powering, and was excellent. From the outside, this place doesn’t look like much, but their phở speaks for miles. Will definitely be back and is so affordable!

We ordered some xlarge bowl of bun bo hue to go. It’s definitely the best tasting bun bo hue I’ve ever had from any restaurant in Houston. I wish they gave me more meat though. Regardless, it’s 5 star…

I like this place it’s simple the music isn’t overwhelming the food is always on point and the staff is attentive. The gentlemen at the counter is always friendly and has a great attitude. I always have the filet steak place with the rice it’s always so good and full of taste. The phở is really good as well good size for the price. Need to come back to try a few more things.

Food wasn’t bad at all. The service is severely lacking… They said there were no menus… Rushed service. Minimum $ 10 charge for a credit card? This is 2015…

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for Bun Bo Hue, egg rolls, spring rolls, nuoc mat, and Thai iced tea with tapioca. Overall, the food is okay. Service was slow even though there were only 3 tables(including us and the other 2 tables had only one person each). Iced tea and water didn’t come out until after the Bun Bo Hue and we had to remind them. Not sure if we will come back since it’s not an area we think of when going out for food.

Finally got a chance to try this place. went with a friend. We both heard good words about this restaurant. Their Bún Bò Hue is really tasty. I didn’t get a headache after… that means their MSG level is tolerable. I always get a headache after eating at Bún Bò Hue Đuc Chong. we both ordered Bún Bò Hue with filet mignon. gotta take my parents here next time, they are Bun Bò Hue addicts.

Everything was so amazing! We started with the Banh Beo(steamed rice cake) which was different than anything I’ve ever had. It included some pork rinds that really takes it to another level! We poured some fish sauce over it and sprinkled with chiles and WOW! Talk about a symphony of textures and flavors! My five yr old loves phở so she got a huge bowl of their kids bowl that includes broth, noodles and meatballs. I, of course, took a little taste and was very happy with the flavor. I’ll be back for a bowl of that. My partner and I each ordered a bowl of Bun Bo Hue. I got everything in it(beef, pork cake, pork cartilage, and blood cake) I don’t think the blood added anything to the flavor but the beef was tender and the por cake was yummy. OHMYGOODNESS that broth was beyond amazing! So much bold deliciousness! I could totally taste a huge amount of lemongrass. The spice was elevated by the chili paste that the server suggested. I was completely impressed with everything. We ended our meal with the iced coffee which is always nice and strong. I’ll be back probably way too many times.

I got the bun bo hue special which had everything in it(cabbage, herbs, blood, pork bone marrow, 2 different kids of beef). I would have liked this dish a little more spicy. I would def come back and eat this dish but also try other dishes. I had the nuoc mat. It was delicious it does have a few different types of jelly in it and some black seeds. I would have preferred a little more grass jelly in my drink but other than that it was delicious. The bo luc lac was also very tasty to my surprise. The dish came with about 8 small cubes of beef(wished there was a few more cubes) and a side of rice. I heard that the Banh beo and com ga was good here. I got to the restaurant at 7:30pm and those dishes was sold out(they close at 8). I spoke with someone who worked there and they told me that they only make a certain amount of Banh beo and com ga daily and it usually runs out at 1 – 3 pm. I will be back to try these dishes.

Wow, not bad, their bun bo hue is very similar to duc chuong’s. Could it be that one of duc chuong’ chef is fed up with them and work for these guys? Lol all jokes aside, their bun bo is great. We originally came their for their banh beo but they ran out so we also got egg rolls, and com bo luc lac, Egg rolls were edible, bo luc lac, beef is a little bit on the salty side and the rice was a bit dry so only edible. The only true winner today was the bun bo. Not bad, would come back for their banh beo maybe. Oh they are a bit pricey.

My boyfriend and I were in this area about a year ago and stumbled upon this place. It was late and we figured we had to give it a try since the name of this place is literally«bun bo hue» assuming their star dish had better be good. And it wasn’t just good, this shit is aaaaaahhmazing! We live in the SW area so it’s not feasible to make that far of a drive for this but when we’re in the area, we vow to go here. I finished the medium bowl down to the bottom, soup and all. The cuts of beef, blood, and pork sausage are all bite size. I love that they have all the essentials on the table for this as well(fish sauce and shrimp paste) and the fact that I get little bits of lemon grass in every spoonful. Perfection.

Stopped this past week when on business visiting Houston. Owner, Chris, was very friendly and helpful. I was wanting to try something different. When eating Vietnamese I normally order noodles with grilled pork or a bowl of phở. At Chris’s suggestion, I had Bahn beo appetizer. It was very tasty. Had the Bun Bo Hue soup. Phenomenal. I am never having phở again. This was intensely flavorful. I was not aware to add the home made hot sauce or the shrimp paste. I missed out. But next time I will. The broth had excellent taste. Restaurant was clean and well run. It was a great experience, thanks for a great experience Chris. Good look.

We got BBH in early morning. Their bowl was huge. Broth contains too much shrimp paste. Meat was ok, blood was not too fresh. Overall it was better than Duc Chuong BBH but it was not the one I was looking for. Their banh beo is also accetable. Quick service!!!

I have been wanting to try their bbh(bun bo hue) since I moved back home. I did try duc chuong first and it is good. My dad personnally likes Co Do’s bbh because the noodles are longer. I never noticed but Co Do’s bbh is just as good. As another reviewer mentioned, their broth is clearer. Their sizes are just as big as Duc Chuong. Anyways, I am not bashing one or the other as both serve good bbh. However, this place serves more than bbh. I uploaded a pic of my dad’s dish and he cleaned it up! What stood out about this dish is the ‘sauce’. Usually it is served with a dipping soy vinegar sauce. Here, they give you this ginger minced sauce which I did taste. It was different and great. I have not tried but have heard from another friend to try their banh beo. Will have to give this place many more visits for other dishes.
