History
Established in 2015.
Originally founded in 2012 as a catering company, Calabash Island Eats bricks and mortar location opened Summer 2015. The restaurant is managed and operated by Gen, a successful entrepreneur with Caribbean family roots from St. Georges, Grenada (West Indies). With homeland traditions learned from her great Aunt, she is able to make unique connections between diverse cultures, bringing the first of the restaurant’s kind to Houston.
